Our take away meal was lovely, all freshly cooked with tasty ingredients. The lamb was very tender which it isn't always with takeaway meals. Well worth a try!

We had an excellent meal with top notch service and politeness, very nice atmosphere but because it caters for all some parents let there children become boisterous but that not the restaurants fault. We will be going there again.

I and my family have eaten in this restaurant and had takeaway from here for many many years and never had a disappointing meal.Although we moved out of the area over 9 years a go we still travel here for takeaway as we believe the food is unbeatable. The restaurant has the advantage of allowing you to take your own wine so this makes it excellent value for money

If you know anything at all about Indian food you would not rate this place at all.Ordered a takeaway and experienced the most intense food poisoning iI have ever experienced!!Furthermore the "food" which I ate (a curry) did not resemble a true curry and had not been made using the correct spice mix or the correct base sauce in my opinion.Tasted more like someone had tipped a bottle of Nando's into a tin of tomato'sFood =Total utter rubbish!!

We have visited the takeaway for years and it always been superb food. More recently we started going to the restaurant too, which is very reasonably priced, great service and the same yummy food ! Even better you can take your own booze with no corkage charge ! Don't miss out - I have tasted lots of Indian food over the years and this is some of the best you will find !

As a regular curry diner ,in fact 49 out of my 52 years on this planet,The Barinda get it's right consistently ,it's not an expensive night as it s BYO with no corkage all they ask is buy your soft drinks from them. They will always do you a special if you want something a little more special and not one of your standard meals, the onion bahjis are to die for, along with some of the chefs specials ! Great service in a local family owned restaurant

I've been a regular customer for years but, last night's takeaway came back with a vengeance. Nausea came just a few hours after eating and then the oceans opened !! ian

I have been to the Barinda several times with friends and the food and service are always excellent. If I were asked where you get a great Indian meal I would have to say the Barinda! BYO drinks is great as you are not ripped off with high alcohol prices. Give it a go, I guarantee once tried you will never go anywhere else.

We have been using Barinda for many years for both takeaway food and outside catering for parties at the house. The quality of food and the service and flexibility of staff is second to none. There are many new curry houses opening in the area but we return to Barinda time and again for quality and service. Yesterday evening when they were extremely busy - one of our items had been forgotten and we had guests and started our meal before we realised. They immediately delivered the item - service above and beyond on a busy Saturday night.

Decided on a takeaway for 6 adults so phoned in order and told it would be ready in 25 mins. As we arrived the staff were packing our order away in a large , easy to carry box. We were asked whether we wanted additional dips with our pappadoms so we ended up with 2 yoghurt dips,2 mango and 2 chopped onions which were generous enough for us all to share. We ordered 3 garlic nans and 3 assorted portions of rice which are also large enough to share. A mixture of curry dishes completed our order and we were also given complimentry bombay mix and hand wipes. When we came to pay the bill it was rounded down so the total was £50 which was reasonable as we staggered out with the order. Home ..... everything superb . Generous amount of quality meat ., prawns ,perfectly cooked rice and beautifully soft nans. The man that served us front of house was friendly , and gave us the sort of service that major retailers would find hard to copy . Cannot fault

I’m very disappointed with the service at this restaurant. I booked a table for dinner and the server asked if there were any customers coming with allergies. I said yes one Gluten free. They asked if it was celiac and I said yes. When we arrived at the restaurant we had to wait a few minutes for our table and while we were waiting I took a look at the menu. I saw a separate sheet with all the allergens on it, picked that up, and read that instead. I saw that there were crispy onions in the biriyani and that was the only thing making it not gluten free and they could be taken off to make the dish gluten free. When we sat down the hostess acknowledged that there was a gluten allergy and said to reference the gluten free menu which was at the back of the regular menu. It took us 40 minutes for a server to come take our order and we had to call over the server as it was taking way too long and the tables next to us who arrived later were served before us. When the server arrived, they said again that there was a gluten allergy at the table and they were making a note of that. I ordered the lamb biriyani off the gluten free menu. When the food arrived I asked the server is this the gluten free biriyani and they said yes. I saw that there was something on top of the dish and wanted to clarify if this was the crispy onions. The server was unsure and said it’s the gluten free one and then paused for a second and went back to the kitchen. When the server came back they took the plate away and said someone had accidentally put the onions on top. They came back out with a new plate with no onions on top and had a stick on the top to signify it was an allergy free meal. I am honestly quite shocked at how many times they acknowledged my allergy and still served me something I was allergic to. If I had not read that alternate menu while waiting ( they do not give you this menu at the table) then I would not have known the onions contained gluten and could have had a very severe reaction. This is really unfortunate as the biryani was delicious. I excepted better from the servers and the chefs. I spoke to the manager explaining how serious of an issue this is and how a mistake like this can be life threatening. The manager said they will have a meeting with their team. I asked for the service charge to be taken off. I want to warn anyone with an allergy to read the allergen sheet at the front as well as the vegan or gluten free menu to help ensure you don’t accidentally eat something you are allergic to.

This wasn’t too random a choice I’d looked around on Trip Advisor and it was so recommended. It’s a lovely place, we went for lunch, so it was quiet and the lovely service quick. There is such an interesting selection of foods, definitely great for veggies. I had lightly battered cauliflower with delicious spicy slightly sweet sauce and lots of stirred fried peppers and onions. Himself had the really cute, I know strange adjective, highly edible chicken lollypops with spicy garlic sauce. For my main I had an amazing dish of aubergine and mango with flavourful coconut masala like sauce. He had rajasthan lamb (apologies for spelling); we both had really lovely light naan breads with our dishes. We didn’t have any room for pudding, because though portions appear not too big they were really filling. What a find and… we’ve discovered they have restaurants in Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool. Possibly other places. So very worth a visit.

The kismet is the best curry house you will ever go to. Brilliant staff, best food, best atmosphere. Would recommend to a local or a tourist.
