The pumpkin picking was really good, and even in bad weather, it was still great fun, and if I was only reviewing that, I would give 5 star 🌟 The reason for 2 stars was for the service in the cafe, staff not very helpful and quite rude. Sandwich was actually very nice, and the coffee was pretty good, but when the service is lacking, it ruins it. It's such a shame as I have been for a few events, and I had great experiences.

Mini hen do for older family/friends. Diane and the staff at the Brasserie were great Diane arranged for us to have either afternoon tea or stands of cakes/scones and different sandwiches for the bride. She set the table nicely and kept an area for just us at the back. We all had a fabulous time. Lovely surroundings, loads of parking as the Spa is attached to the main hotel. Would recommend. Thank you ladies

We went as a party of 14 to celebrate a couple of birthdays. The restaurant is part of the WHEATSHEAF pub in Raby. A delightful setting in the middle of the Wirral countryside. There’s a very large car park and large courtyard with a covered seating area. The pub is fairly dark as expected but the converted cow shed is a lovely eating area with a high ceiling and some original features. From the start the staff communicated well via email to accommodate us. We had to preorder our food from the menu. The menu had a good variety of dishes and vegans are catered for. We had 2 vegans in our party and they were able to order a main, side dish and dessert without issues. The children’s menu is limited compared to the adult menu but they put on pizza ovens to provide two traditional pizzas as there were two children who didn’t want the ciabatta pizza on the menu. The children had children meals but adult desserts. Great choice of drinks including 6 cask ales of one was a biscotti porter, two local Brimstage ales plus some more well known ales, Timothy Taylor, Wainwright etc. They had local sourced gin from Heswall. A couple of our party were running late but they were willing to put back the kitchen 1/2 hr to accommodate us. The food was delicious and served at a good pace. Everyone in our party commented how good it was and everyone left full. Every plate was empty despite everyone feeling full which is a credit to the chef. The pub is dog friendly but I didn’t check if the restaurant area was. Highly recommend if you like quality food and drink in country pubs.

We now live in New Zealand but travel frequently back to the Wirral. We have been coming to this restaurant for 34 years! It is a pilgrimage for us, and we are never disappointed. We love this food and the friendly service. As vegetarians, we are well catered for, and the wine is perfectly matched to the homely Italian food. We absolutely love this place, highly recommended.

Our son took us here for a treat for his mums birthday I had the rump steak medium rare but it was very hard to eat as very chewy. The restaurant was in a nice location with fields around but it stunk of manure! I would not want to come back again.
