The best restaurants in Stockport North West

The interior and the service was very promising, but having ordered two different types of paella, we were a bit disappointed. As a result, even very small portions remained unfinished. I really hope that pizza and pasta are better there. Updated: Hello! Thank you for your response. I definitely ordered the seafood paella — I remember it clearly. My companion also had a paella, possibly with mushrooms. We both ordered these dishes directly from the men u, so they were definitely available at the time of our visit on April 13, 2025. The atmosphere and service were excellent, but unfortunately, the paella itself didn’t quite meet our expectations. Thank you for taking the time to follow up on guest feedback!

Never had bad food from here very tasty definitely recommend

Visited bank holiday weekend, it was relatively quiet but still had a good atmosphere! Nice cosy pub. Lee who served us was great! Very welcoming and attentive. He made our drinks quickly and they were lovely! Food was top notch and arrived fast. Highly recommend 5*.

Ordered delivery pizza. It was nice but very mediocre. I don’t think it’s worth the price, even with the buy one get one free. Nothing wrong with it but definitely nicer and tastier pizzas elsewhere

We just went in for a dessert and it was absolutely lovely we really enjoyed it. Also the customer service is probably the best customer service I’ve ever seen in my life. What a brilliant man. Thankyou 😊

Went on Wednesday steak night. Food really good. Service excellent- shout out to Ethan our server - really attentive and friendly. Been here a few times and always find the staff warm, welcoming and helpful.

Nice friendly pub with an outdoor area and decent drink selection. My partner and I were particularly thrilled to find they that had vegan and gluten free lager on tap!

I have been here before and it was lovely, with lovely staff. Access: a massive step, but there are hand rails to haul yourself in if you are able. No disabled toilet. A bit cluttered inside, so it's hard to move around. We were here for Mild Magic, so enjoyed the Busman's Cherry by 4T's. It would have been lovely again if it hadn't have been for two people who told us off like naughty school children for swearing and, "didn't we know that this is a non swearing pub?" and "you are very lucky the landlord's not here because he would chuck you out". Actually, no, there was nothing to suggest that this was a no swearing pub that I could see. Anyway, while eavesdropping on our private conversation, they overheard some more language they did not like, so, aided by the bar staff, they made a huge song and dance about moving away from us. Maybe don't eavesdrop on other people's conversations. Also, don't complain about very mild bad language when you spend your time loudly bitching about every customer after they have gone. They made us feel very uncomfortable and the fact that the staff seemed supportive of them didn't help. However, we didn't make a huge drama out of it and once we'd finished our drinks, left for a pub that does not censor speech.

I went to Zumuku with my friends for a midweek lunch and our experience was fantastic! The lady who was serving (Wednesday 2nd April) was absolutely brilliant and couldn’t do enough for us! Food was delicious, we had a mixture of sushi, loaded fries and bao buns. Great flavours and filling! We will definitely be back 😊

Didn’t even get to sit down. Booked in for 6.30pm and no sign of a table becoming available despite our booking. Went down the road to the Blue Nile.

Used to be my go to place but last couple of orders have been awful. Tonight kebab meat was dry, rest was chewy and tasteless and chips were cold. Going to give this place a miss for a while, which is a shame.
