Beautiful food and drink, no complaints there! Very friendly staff. But I hope the owner fixes the door soon, considering it's now autumn - we got blasted by an ear-splitting creak and cold air every time a deliveroo driver came in or out (which was every 2 minutes), and the door was very difficult to close, meaning the poor servers had to come and shove it closed constantly. No fun for anyone. Get it fixed!

We had a great time here. The food was amazing with great starters, Sushi and Ramen, the Katsu Curry was enjoyed by my mum and wife. Kids loved everything and the staff were fantastic. Completely recommended - we will go back!

Had a family holiday during the summer of 2023 in Japan and the food here is very close to what we experienced there. The presentation of the food is wonderful and tastes delicious. Definitely worth a try for some authentic Japanese food.

Amazing. Found this little gem on Tiktok and as we're sushi hounds we gave it a shot. Dined early so it was quiet but the service was super friendly and the food was out of this world though I must protest...We ordered a 60 piece platter (between the 2 of us) and found it perfectly sized to us...not the 6-8 recommended on the menu!! 🤣🤣🤣 The sushi rice was tender and beautifully seasoned, the rolls creative and attractive to the eye and the fish spankingly fresh! The smoking dry ice presentation only added to our enjoyment! We'll definitely come again- well done!

Wow, what a lovely place. Wish it was closer to where I live. The food was amazing; best sushi, katsu chicken and mochi we've ever had! The lady owner was so nice and a real pleasure to talk to. I don't say that about many people either 😂 We'll definitely be returning again and looking forward to try other things!

Food was good, though the “inside out” sushi was a little bland. The chicken gyozas were delicious though! The main issue was the slow service. They brought out two dishes and then we waited 20 minutes for the rest to be brought out. We also asked for some water and this was never brought to us after half an hour of waiting. We ended up leaving as we had finished our food and paid. However, the staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was good. I would recommend booking if going during peak days/hours as it got very busy and people were being turned away.

What a find. Absolutely delicious food. The sashimi sang it was so good ! I ordered the tuna tacos twice as they were exceptional and was surprised at how good the wine was really excellent. I’m going again. 😃💥

We’ve been here by chance. Wilma, the lady who served us, was very nice and friendly. The lunch menu (one starter and one main dish chosen from a list, for 12 £) was very good. Both the teriyaki chicken skewers (starter) and the uramaki rolls (main dish) were delicious. The location was beautiful and there was atmosphere music. The bathroom was clean. A definitely very good lunch, I would recommend it.

Visited with a friend for the 'all you can eat', which is very cleverly organised. You get 90 mins where you can order 3 dishes per wave. The food is insanely good! Fresh, tasty and plentiful. The staff are very attentive, knowledgeable of the menu, and are on hand to help with any questions. This was the best sushi I've eaten, and the katsu curry was beautiful. Very highly reccomended.

Ordered for delivery, I would say it's OK but far from being the best sushi I've eaten. Improvement can be made in the quality of the products (especially fish) used.

The service I can’t fault. A lovely young lady working there and she was very pleasant. The sushi however, was not good. We ordered two of the Zumuku Special @ £15 each and it seems like we paid £30 for some rice and a tiny almost non existent bit of salmon ontop. The sushi was rolled so thick in dry rice, with a tiny piece of salmon ontop. I have been here a year ago and it was one of the best sushi’s I have had (and I eat a lot of sushi at many different places). This time, it was one of the worst. I felt like supermarket sushi would have been better. Sorry, I won’t be returning unfortunately.

Fantastic! My son and I came in for lunch. Really friendly service and relaxed setting, everything we ordered was delicious and I had to order extra crab tacos because they were just too good not to.

Ordered online. Called 25 times and straight to answer phone. When it went through to finally ring there was no answer. No sign of take away. Really poor customer service. Food didn’t arrive. Such a shame as the Wilmslow branch is great.

Cosy atmosphere and lovely staff go above and beyond

Under new management. Since my first review there is a new manager here and she is great. Food is back to great quality and service is good. Only downside is eating in can be chilly as there’s no porch so every time someone enters it blasts the cold in. Stars changed from two to four. Had a takeaway from here, not a patch on the Wilmslow Zumuku, Chicken was cut to large so cooked poorly without flavour. Sushi was ok but flavour proportions were a little clumsy. Back to Wilmslow I guess.

We've been here for the first-time..... unfortunately, we had a bumpy starting, we nearly left the place, but all was sorted as Wilma ( I'm hoping to spell her name correctly) arrived. Nice little restaurant, food was really good! We will definitely go back!

Ordered a takeaway yesterday and whilst there was some misunderstanding about a couple of the dishes (I ended up without 2 dishes I had ordered), I phoned the restaurant back and the owner sent them out with her driver within 10 minutes and didn’t charge me. I was very impressed with the customer service and the food quality was excellent.

Food was absolutely excellent. Came here for first time and the service was fast and friendly. Quiet casual dining vibe. I had the salmon teriyaki and I could have eaten it forever!

This is the only restaurant we will be going to going forward. One of the nicest meals we have had by far in a long time. Thank you for such a great meal. Just annoyed with ourselves for not taking any photos. Next time.

As an Asian who ate multiple sushi restaurants in hk and uk, this restaurant is in the middle of my tier list. I’m gonna start with the good things. the presentation is amazing and the service is very good. Some of the food is also good. My only complain is that the drink and food options on the all you can eat menu is very poor. They only have sushi rolls and some of the food is warm which is not good. Overall it’s pretty mid.

The presentation of this was disappointing. The tuna was not sliced nicely. It was slapped on and chunky. The wasabi got into everything as well as the mayo. Seems it was put together in a rush.

The last couple of times I ordered through Deliveroo, the food was a bit rubbish. Eating in, and ordering directly, the food is excellent.

The food is amazing! The atmosphere is very chilled. Service overall is good. Though it's normally young girls Serving, and one of them moans under her breath and signs quite a lot. I think they could do with being unskilled in service etiquette. However, it won't stop me going! Love the food

We ordered sushi and rolls many times, but here you were just disappointed. The rolls were all falling apart, I ate them with a spoon, because when you try to eat with chopsticks, they just crumbled. And there was no taste that surprised me. Because you usually have delicious rolls and sushi. Sushi with eel is terrible at all, fish bones were in every land. I was lucky to feel them in time. Just a disappointment. Well, sorry, the bones in the fish are a nightmare

We would recommend Zumuku in Cheadle Hulme. The food was yum and great service. They do a 2 course lunch/early dinner for £12.95 until 5pm (Mon-fri)We will be back soon for sure

Got two poke bowls and chilli squid. Rice didn't taste fresh, a bit stale and dry and there was barely any fish in it. The chilli squid was 80% fried bits of batter with 3 pieces of actual squid. Shame as I used to love getting these, but that was from the Didsbury branch. It's not cheap for a takeaway, so would expect better for the price.

Order took over 2.5 hours to be delivered. Was expecting 35-55 mins (Deliveroo estimate). So kids were up well past bed time, and we were all starving. Gave up in the end and drove out to get burgers. Ruined our evening, and the rest of the weekend will be ruined too, as kids will be tired. Peeped in whilst getting my burger, and didn't seem that busy. I can"t imagine what took them so long. Have eaten there a couple of times before, and the food is truly excellent, but sadly will not be using them again on principle. Just rude. Not fair on the Deliveroo drivers either, if the delivery status is to be believed.. At least 4 drivers were at the restaurant waiting for the food and then giving up. They don't get paid to wait around, only for delivery.

me and a friend booked a table for 1pm on the 19th of december, the booking was accepted online but upon arrival the restaurant was closed! the doors were locked but lights were on, nobody was inside to answer when i knocked. we were looking forward to a nice lunch out but now disappointed that nobody contacted us regarding the closure.

The only place to get delicious salmon poke bowls in my area. Apart from great salmon, I've been happy with their chicken katsu, urumaki even the fries are great! The only thing I found disappointing were the veggie gyosas. But so many other dishes to choose from.

Greeted with a smile and advised to pick any free table we wanted to sit. Saturday now has the lunch menu 12-5 that you get a starter and main for £12.95. Really good options, food was hot and fresh with it all coming out in good time. Fantastic place to eat and very good service, highly recommended!
