"The Spice Boys' Grand Heist: A Diya Curry House Saga" Call the cops, summon the curry constabulary, alert the naan navy. The Spice Boys are back in town, and this time, they've hit Diya with the force of a thousand chilli's. That's right, Bryan "Madras Eyes" Malone, Slater "The Poppadom Kid", and The Joey (no one knows his surname, like Cher but spicier) executed a flawless gastronomic heist. Garlic naans, Peshawari naans, onion bhaji's, pilau rice and chips... carba chameleons. Then came the heavy artillery: Chilli chicken masala, Naga chicken (the danger chicken), and of course, a tikka masala especially for The Joey, because The Joey plays by his own rules. The Spice Boys wrapped the whole job up like a samosa of destiny with three shimmering pints of Cobra, glowing like golden orbs forged in the spice mines of Bengal. And, just as the Spice Boys were about to vanish into the night like coriander scented phantoms, the waiter, in a move of legendary chaos, spilled a beer onto the carpet as if summoning a beer genie. Hey that's just the dragons way, baby. If you're looking for a place where flavour meets the danger and the rice might be your last, Diya is your scene. Just watch out for the back door, The Spice Boys have already mapped their escape route. 5/5 — Would naan and run again.

Nipped in for a drink with a friend, decided to get some food. The selection was great, food I've never seen on a pub menu before. Generous portion for a good price. Bar staff were polite and well informed. The venue itself is clean and well kept! 10/10 already planning on revisiting!

I’m sorry for the lack of stars but that is based on the lack of cleanliness (they have nice wooden tables, but they have dips in the wood were knots originally were, with bits of food in them, considering we were there 1st thing, that can only mean they weren’t cleaned from the night before). Now iv seen pictures online for BocBoc that states Big breakfast £9.95 for at least x2 sausages x2 eggs x2 bloomer toast etc etc, unfortunately that was a couple of years ago, so when l ordered it was a new menu but instead of making a breakfast bigger & better all l got for over £10.00 was a breakfast with only x1 sausage x1 egg x1 toast (cut in 1/2) etc etc so a bigger payment for at least 35% less items that the other menu had originally Then my wife had a hot chocolate that was so made in such a clumsy way, she had to drink it while leaning into the cup on the table as it had been overflowing that much it looked in a bad state The only good thing was the service from the young girls, pleasant and smiley but we were there for a relaxing breakfast, and wanted abit of glamour, if we wanted dirty tables with less for for the pitied we could have gone for a supermarket cafe breakfast

I’ve just come off the phone with the manager. Who was shockingly unhelpful, patronising and unapologetic. I had my 33 year old brothers funeral wake there and it was awful. I paid £870 for room and gold buffet. People came in to a cold dark unlit room. The memory table was not set up. The staff were miserable, unhelpful and rude. There was no music on in background. The atmosphere was terrible. The buffet was awful and was put out late after prompting. There was a lady standing guard of the buffet doling out tiny portions. I was incredibly awkward. At one point she told me off for trying to serve myself some hotpot. The sandwiches were dry and cheap. They did not lay out enough for 50 people. When I complained - I was told they would have made more if more was needed. There was a couple of pieces of tiny chopped up cheap cake. That is not what I paid for. People would not believe I paid £870 for this and more importantly my brothers wake ruined. I will never set foot in the place again.

We held my Mum's 80th birthday celebrations at the Mansion House. The venue is first class and the staff superb. They really did go the extra mile for us. We had just over fifty guests, and afternoon tea was lovely. I am from St.Helens and proud of my home town even if I don't live there, but all my family do. Please be proud of this lovely venue.
