Been meaning to give the Courtyard a try and did it for brunch today. We were not disappointed. Lovely staff, efficient service and really good food. Had the small breakfast and probably the best one I’ve had in a long time. Will definitely be back.

Friendly great service lovely surroundings great food we were warned of a delay but order taken and drinks arrived worth waiting to freshly cooked food. was busy Saturday lunch staff polite and friendly. Great place highly recommended

I ordered the vegetarian breakfast which came within minutes and I loved how they put their own stamp on a full english with halloumi and sweetcorn fritters. Staff are lovely and always stop for a chat. Good food, quick service.

Really lovely breakfasts. One with pillowy pancakes and the other a porridge with banana and honey. Finished off with toast. Delicious coffee too.

Called in last Saturday for breakfast after being recommended by a friend. Seated fairly quickly and advised there’s a bit of a wait! After a while we were given menus then after another while we were asked to order. Eventually drinks arrived and not long after the food. Can’t complain about the food it was really good and the premises were absolutely spotless. Service a little slow but was advised about this on arrival, however majority of places at least provide a drink while you wait so hopefully that can be improved on. Definitely worth a visit for the food though and will definitely return in the future.

Best cafe I have ever found, both near and far. Excellent food with the most lovely, friendly and welcoming staff and lovely homely surroundings. Since we found this little gem we visit at least once a week at least, also been several times with friends. Lovely extensive new menu has just been implemented and the Sunday lunch just has to be tasted, never had better. There is also a liquour license should you wish to have a little tipple.

Lovely fresh food, always clean and the staff can’t do enough for you. Love that it’s on the doorstep too. They are always busy and sometimes there’s a wait because of it but they keep you up to date with where the foods up to. Eggs Royale is delicious as are the pancakes. Have been time and again, it’s a little gem of St Helens.

We love eating in this gorgeous, not so little, coffee shop. It serves up excellent food, caters for most tastes and there is a new menu coming next week. The place is bright & clean and the staff are cheery & happy to serve you, nothing is too much trouble. See you soon xx

Outstanding food, Caesar salad is a fave, we go regularly for breakfast. Just love the coffee. Amazing staff where nothing is too much trouble. The cafe is decorated really nicely and always easy to park. Just off the East Lancs so accessible and reasonably priced, can even have a cheeky beer, if the wife lets me! Our go to place to eat! The Courtyard is the best brunch in St Helens without a doubt. Food and drinks are consistently gorgeous! Never had a bad experience. The staff are pleasant and attentive. A gem in St Helens x

Lovely little spot with nice staff and great food. Party ordered, small breakfast, eggs Benedict and Royale. The poached eggs were perfect. I really liked the size of the butter portion no little packets a nice slab of butter. Service was really quick, particular mention to the young lad, he was so nice and friendly. My daughter has been a few times already and I’ll definitely be back.

Absolutely love this place. Never had a bad meal. Service is always with a smile and the coffee’s are the best. To me this is the best coffee shop in St Helens.

First time visit today with one of my friends having a catch-up. I had the hummus, pepper and onion sandwich for a complete change and so pleased that I did, really enjoyed it, lemon drizzle cake with vanilla ice cream for afters delicious. The cafe staff were fantastic, very welcoming and polite. My friend and I did not feel in anyway rushed. The cafe was clean and tidy. Great idea having the ice-cream and milkshake hut in the courtyard.

Lovely lunch as usual, staff are always so friendly and willing to help, nothing is too much trouble. This is a friendly cafe to visit and it helps it’s on the doorstep.

We love visiting The Courtyard for our breakfast treat. Everything is cooked lovely & they accommodate food preferences as well. Lovely breakfast at a competitive price. The bread they use for toast. deserves a special mention it’s fab! Although I haven’t tried other food on offer, it always looks nice. All in all it never disappoints. Would definitely recommend. 👍🏻☺️
