Foods nice, but has gone up recently in price and reason I used to was it was well priced compared to the other cafe in the village but now are both about the same and can get more for money elsewhere.

We were looking for breakfast after staying overnight st Premier Inn Rainhill as The Ship Inn does not serve breakfast. We only wanted toast and coffee but we had delicious hot buttered toast and great coffee, all from a kitchen where you could see your food being cooked fresh. The orders were taken and we were served quickly. The doorstep wholemeal slices with melting butter were just want we wanted and I'm sure the cooked breakfast would have been just as tasty. Simply put a great place for breakfast or brunch.

Went here for breakfast after taking my mum to the hospital staff were very friendly food was great I would highly recommend and if I’m back in that area again this would be my 1st choice of places to eat

This is a small but cosy little cafe, with a great breakfast menu. Friendly and helpful staff with decent coffee. I recommend the homemade cake and biscuits.

Went here for the first time this week. Great full English with tea and toast. Very well priced and the staff were brill. Will be back very soon. Also a good menu .

Been for breakfast before, which was really nice, spotted the club sandwich menu and had to come back, was not disappointed. The Buffalo Express, it was wonderful, really enjoyed. Will definitely go back.

This is a really nice cafe to have a quick snack. The Girls are very Friendly and the coffeeand teacakes are so nice. Nothing is too much trouble.

Nice food and nice tea. Really good service. Sadly we arrived as a mob near the very end of their lunchtime opening. Staff were polite and very helpful, but the menu was restricted and mainly sold out. That’s no criticism on the cafe and the staff were able to provide us with tea and toasted sandwiches and plenty of cakes. Parking in the town centre is difficult.

Called into the cafe for 2 breakfasts the service was excellent and friendly and the wait wasn’t long as the food was freshly cooked, I waited outside and a member of staff came out with my order. The food was cooked to perfection and wash down with a fresh brew .. highly recommend

I visit the cafe on a regular basis for club sandwiches to take out, always perfect and delicious. The staff are all brilliant, efficient and friendly and are a good laugh too. Great place to eat in too, or outside in warmer weather. Very popular little cafe in our area which shows the staff are welcoming and food is good. Well earned five stars, they work hard! I've used this place a few times whilst waiting for a train, it's ideal. The food and drink are always great. On this occasion I bought a sausage toastie, and both the bread and sausages were thick, tasty, and really filling. And not overpriced. You always get a friendly 'hello' and 'bye', good personal service, and the staff are very pleasant. Tables are wiped down after every customer, there's a comfortable atmosphere, and everyone feels welcome there.... unlike other cafés in the village.

Visited on a trip to see friends, very small place, but did a good sausage and bacon bap, and a tasty toasted tea cake. Small place, bit of outdoor seating- weather permitting! Very handy for the station.

Good breakfast here, bacon sandwich and full breakfast are good. If your having a full breakfast, pay the extra pound so you get two of everything, compared to one of everything breakfast, which is a nice but small.

Regularly drop in with daughter for a fry-up (for the daughter), always fresh and tasty and well cooked. Cooked to order so sausages especially are delicious, long may it last.

A little jewel for the village. Breakfast was well cooked and of sufficient size to keep me happy. The Railway also provides dishes to take away. The coffee is superb.

I visited here on a freezing February morning for breakfast with a friend. This place is very close to Rainhill station as you might imagine. The only "flaw" I can find in this bijou diamond is precisely that. At a guess I would say that it actually only sits about 12 covers at any one time though passers by are able to order food to take away.The welcome we received was very pleasant, the service excellent and the food was CERTAINLY well worth the visit. I had cheese on toast with sausage cooked to perfection and my friend had a full breakfast which he didn't hesitate to tuck into. Very good value for money.

We have just moved into the area and nipped in here for some breakfast yesterday. Really enjoyed it - thick bacon, good quality sausages and all perfect cooked. Good coffee too, and all at a great price. We will certainly be back

Visited today for a breakfast having previously ordered a take out. Staff were amazing. Food was superb. Great price. Puts to shame the so called quality establishments nearby who think £10 for a breakfast is ok. Highly recommended.

We've been here for breakfast a good few times and it's always been consistent. Lovely food, very reasonable and a relaxed environment . My only observation would be that there was no high chair for our toddler .

I wouldn't usually mention a breakfast cafe as there are so many around and all much of a muchness, but this little cafe deserves a shout. Clean and tidy. Small, with 4 tables and 12 chairs but not cramped. The staff welcoming and severed us quickly. The Full English Breakfast was one of the best I've had in a while. Value for money. Will be back in the area in a few weeks and will be visiting again.

As a regular to this cafe it is on par with the likes of Toast in St Helens in my opinion? The breakfasts are very tasty and it is clear that they are cooked freshly with good quality sourced products. The staff are great and this place really is a credit to Rainhill village! The cafe is small inside but this just makes it more comfortable and cosy as the decor is pleasant!
