Booked a table for 15 and emailed Paul prior to arrange. Paul could not do enough to help us and responded promptly. When we turned up we had a great table with amazing view, the service I had from Paul was replicated with all the staff that night especially the guy in the shirt who was looking after our table and was fantastic. Sorry missed your name. Even accommodated for our 20 month old, going above and beyond to welcome our son. Menu was great and varied, food was really well cooked and tasty. Had a great night and will be back soon, if you do have a group it’s best to email as they will look after you.

Decided to go here for a hot chocolate as we’d heard good things and it was pouring with rain, plus it was meant to be a holiday treat, but we were so disappointed. £10.90 for two regular hot chocolates!! We had high expectations given the menu and price but the drinks were quite small and the cups were dirty. They came with a dry finger cake and “fresh fruit” which meant three slices of under ripe strawberry (it’s October!). The hot chocolate is extremely strong and sickly. We didn’t stay long as it wasn’t particularly warm, and then the person behind the counter let their dog off the lead and let it roam free. It settled on one of the customer chairs licking one of the tables. Honestly I couldn’t wait to get back out into the rain! Wouldn’t go back.

We turned up today after struggling to find somewhere to eat that catered for vegans. This place was fantastic, the food was freshly cooked, fresh ingredients and delicious. We had 1 chicken Japanese curry, 1 tofu and vegetable Japanese curry and 1 chicken udon noodle soup. The broth in the soup was the best I’ve ever tasted. I’d highly recommend this place.

The best cocktail bar in the area by far, the skilled and friendly staff are happy to create any of your favorites even if it's not on the menu. We live locally and recommend this place to anyone visiting Bowness, the drinks really are a step above any other cocktail bars in the area.

I can recommend Andreea Sweets enough, I have been there for the forest cake who is absolutely delicious. For my birthday and my husband one we order birthday cakes from her and both they have been perfect on design and taste . If u want to enjoy the taste of something sweet and home made try it , you definitely not gone regret the choice you made .

I loved this colourful little café, but unfortunately I had to mark them down as I think something must have been burnt shortly before we arrived, and my eyes are so sensitive that within a few minutes my eyes were stinging and streaming. I had a fabulous hot chocolate, and my son really enjoyed his burger. I would have liked to have stayed longer but my eyes were so sore (and it was too cold to sit outside) that I just wanted to leave. Staff were fantastic, and I feel terrible that I couldn’t give them the 5 stars that they deserve.

Delicious gelato. Rich, creamy, not too sweet or cloying. Excellent range of flavours including some with a unique British twist. Really enjoyed that.

I go there in my first time trip in last week. I spend 2 hours and take some beer with my partner. We really enjoy the time. I'll come here again.

What a gem!! Me & my partner grabbed 2 turkey bacon sub rolls from here for lunch, they were £4.50 each and they were awesome! You never get value for money like that these days, it was fresh, warm and massive, a 10/10 sandwich. Even better after a big walk in the fells. Will return often i’m sure! Friendly warm service too. Fantastic atmosphere in the bistro at Storrs Hall last night. We had booked dinner to celebrate my birthday with my family and it was fantastic! The menu in the Bistro was excellent and great selection of starters,mains and desserts.Great recommendation from our lovely waitress and really felt very welcoming. Food and attention to detail was shared with my inlaws and husband and surprise extra pudding with sweets,chocolates was a delightful end to our evening.

Well worth driving an hour and a half for our second visit to Blackwell. A unique and fascinating house. Our thanks to volunteer guide David for an unhurried tour and detailed insight into Blackwell's history. The cafe staff were superb as was the food and the Duty Manager was extremely enthusiastic and clearly smitten with the house herself. Her introduction to Blackwell on our arrival was most informative and we were amazed to see her gladly involved in carrying out a full range of tasks ranging from waitressing in the cafe to even cleaning the toilets as we were the last to leave - good management by example and at its very best. Allow good time to appreciate the Blackwell's design and high level of presentation as well as its beautiful setting. We could have spent a full day there.

We didn't have a booking but they managed to fit us in and were so pleased. The menu was excellent with wide variety of choices. The starters were particularly hard to choose from , so I had 2 starters . ! Food was excellent - really good especially for the price . Good wine selection too

Cosy, atmospheric restaurant which we look forward to trying again on our next visit to Bowness. Staff are lovely and provide efficient, friendly service. Food and wine reasonably priced. We felt the meals were well presented and tasty - there was an issue with one of our mains but the owner was very receptive to our comments and arranged a small adjustment to our bill. A nice place, we would definitely recommend.

Loved it, the food and wine was amazing. I had the Muscles Marinara to start and it was really good. Hopefully I will be returning many times. Thank you for a lovely evening.
