Excellent ice cream 🍨, loads of flavours, might make suggestion maybe do a dog ice cream 🍦

Looked at pictures and menue. Drove here, only to find it's closed. Looks like it's been closed for years

Great tasty food and good value for money. I'm a regular visitor. The atmosphere is cosy and the service is excellent. Love the fact that dogs are made to feel extremely welcome with beds to help them settle after a long walk.

We've just enjoyed the most delicious Sunday lunch at the Miners. We had booked a table, and were warmly greeted by the staff. The Sunday Roast was served as a carvery. The choice of meats was Ham, Beef or Turkey or all 3 if you wanted. The choice of vegetables was wonderful, all fresh proper veg and beautifully cooked. The choices included mushy peas and mashed potatoes, as well as the usual roasties, carrots, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower etc. Not forgetting Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, cranberry, horseradish and delicious gravy. We couldn't manage a pudding! The price was £14 for an adult. Fantastic price! Highly recommended. We will be back very soon.

We had a lovely dinner out here recently and we both really enjoyed it. The old pub has a really good vibe to it, friendly staff and they serve really nice pizzas especially. There seems to be other stuff going on during the day, such as pottery, a shop and cafe.. worth a visit..

Just got these and the fish was dry and hard, the batter was like cardboard and the chips were rubbish. All covered in black bits like the fryers had never been cleaned. Then to top it off I was ill within the hour.

Open again and worth a pop in as has been closed for an age . Situated in the quiet village is spark bridge loads of off road parking

Called in with the family on a whim. I had heard that a new chef was in and had heard good reports regarding quality etc. I know the pub well and it certainly is well looked after, the fire a massive bonus, service was warm and friendly, menus pointed out to us. There was quite a range of dishes and I settled on lasagne, mum and dad had the sea bass and hubby had the venison. The food was amazing, presentation immaculate. We couldn't manage a dessert but enjoyed a gin or 2 after. Well worth a visit.

“Let’s stop for ice cream” we said. “It’ll be a treat for the kids” we said. It wasn’t. Honestly we nearly lost the will to live. Not the fault of the people serving but the convoluted menu of ice cream sundaes and milkshakes which each took about a week to make. We only wanted ice cream and were waiting around 45 minutes which honestly just wasn’t worth it. It wasn’t just us as several groups abandoned the queue while we were waiting. Need a fast-track queue for customers wanting ice cream only. Won’t be returning.

Outstanding food & service, loved the whole atmosphere, delicious Sunday roast, food was amazing & plentiful, really made to feel welcome, busy but very efficient service, staff very polite & nothing too much trouble 😋

Friends highly recommended this newish place we went and if these friends recommend another restaurant we will beat a path to that door too. The food was excellent staff also price reasonable. If you want to go definitely book.
