We came for our wedding anniversary and won’t be coming back. One star for the great service but the food was terrible: the rice was lukewarm (not microwaved enough), the sauces and meat were definitely not freshly cooked. We had high hopes but left after just one main dish, and won’t be returning.

Great food with fantastic service. Came with my girlfriend who has a severe peanut allergy, staff where accommodating and my praises go out to the chef for coming out to speak to her about what changes can be made to certain dishes and making her feel reassured. Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable dining experience that we will no doubt be returning to in the near future!

What a little gem Wasabi is. The place was packed when we got there. Luckily we had booked! On the plus side there was a separate vegan menu which was extensive. So much choice Mrs. Cheddarwasp and I ordered about six dishes to share and we were not disappointed. The food was lovely as were the staff and Wasabi will be having a visit from us again very soon. There is plenty on the menu we still have to try!! Cheers!

Really not sure why this place hasn't got a better rating! Popped in for a meal after a long drive up to Ulverston, very friendly service, nice decor, good portions and fantastic food! Some of the best Asian food I've ever tried infact! Will definitely be back, give this place a go!

A brilliant little Pan-Asian restaurant where the small plates are made for sharing. The menu covers Japanese, Chinese Thai and Korean, which sounds like a lot of cuisines to master, but we need not have worried as the kitchen produced dish after dish of exceptional food. Being first timers to the restaurant, we were advised that 3 to 4 dishes per person would be sufficient, but the portions were so huge (definitely not your average small plate !) that 3 dishes would have been more than enough. Between us we shared the Shrimp Bao, Gyozas, Crab Sushi, Spring Rolls, Sea Bass and Calamari along with a side of rice. I cannot fault any of these dishes, they were each delicious, but special mention to the soy and miso Sea Bass which was unbelievable value for less than £10. Definitely no room for desserts. They had a small cocktail menu alongside beers and wines. Service was top-notch throughout, explaining all of the dishes as and when they arrived. Would definitely recommend booking as the restaurant itself is tiny and it was jam packed throughout our recent Saturday night visit. 100% Recommend, and just wish I was a local

I cannot believe that we almost didn't eat here, due to the negative reviews. The meal we had really was outstanding, the food we ordered was so well considered and thought though, amazing fusion flavours with a twist and a local personal touch. Our very own mini Asia at the Ivy in Ulverston 😊 This restaurant is now on our favourite list of restuarants in the town, and we will definitely be back very soon. I'm confused and a little bit uncomfortable about the negative reviews to be completely frank. I would hate for this place to end up closing the same way other great places in the town have, leaving us with even less quality choices of eating places. Hence the reason for my leaving a rare review.

Firstly, I really don’t understand the bad reviews. Travelling up from home on the train needed to eat. Found these on ulverston eats. I ordered a take away I had the chicken Katsura noodles and the crab sushi. It was perfect loads of nice veg and piping hot. Wasn’t to sure what to expect from the crab sushi as never really had it but it was awesome. Roll forward to Saturday night. Turned up at the restaurant without a reservations despite looking rather busy they squeezed me in to a nice table. I ordered the salmon bao buns and the coconut curry with jasmine rice on the side. Again meals were perfect piping hot plenty of veg and chicken. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere in was lovely. Really nice place will continue to use!! Thank you

I love this kind of food but it’s very disappointing, I’m pretty sure everything is frozen and bought in then just heated up with a ready made sauce put on it ! We went when it first opened up and I can remember thinking then that the food was packaged and absolutely no Asian/Asian trained chef in the kitchen ! The ‘dragon fries’ were literally frozen fries with Tabasco sauce on! Any way we thought we’d give it another try and got a take out because fancied a noodle box and loaded fries , we assumed they would be tasty and full of flavour like canoodles in barrow , we were wrong basically plain egg noodles with no flavour then with either frozen breaded chicken on and frozen breaded prawns on (it’s really easy to breadcrumb) if your paying that price you’d expect it to be homemade ! Then a small amount of shop brought sauce again in the top! Absolutely no flavour at all my young daughter even said I could of made this and she’s right! Loaded fries again frozen food on top with sauce ! All frills comes to mind I’m sure it would be more cost effective to make everything in the kitchen instead of buying from bookers/caterite, I mean frozen fries ! When your paying restaurant prices ! And judging by the reviews I’m not the only one who thinks this !

This place is alright, if not a little underwhelming. I went for my birthday with a few friends. Though the food was tasty and good quality, it wasn't cheap I left a little hungry. Staff were generally polite and attentive, though one person seemed a bit miserable and I felt a bit hurried. I found the food and the decor a little pretentious. Sorry.

Our 2nd visit after a good experience several months ago. Sadly we were very underwhelmed this time. All dishes were bland and didn’t feel in any way authentic Asian. Such a shame as the concept is good but doesn’t deliver on taste

We have visited Wasabi a number of times since it opened and the food and staff have always been amazing. We like it so much that we organised for a group of us to attend for a valentines meal. On entering the place (which is quite small) we werent greeted by anyone (heyho its busy.. not an issue). However as we approached the bar to let them know we were here, we were approached by who I can only describe as the most miserable waitress I have ever met. Her first words were "can you move please?" Charming I know, a real warm welcome. Thankfully the blonde female member of staff was absolutly lovely, as was the gent. They made us feel very welcome and explained the dishes to a couple of my party who had never visited. These 2 were a real credit to the place. Unfortunately we had another run in with "mrs happy". One of the dinner plates was dirty (yet again, it happens, just a clean plate would have sorted it) however, the response was a tut and "Its just from the dishwasher". The food, as always, was amazing and we all enjoyed our night. I would have given the place 5* again had it not been for the miserable lass who clearly didnt get a valentines card this year (not surprised tbf) :)

These guys are trying their hand a oriental food, and doing it quite badly really. As mentioned previously, we came out our clothes and hair smelled of food and smoke from the kitchen. The food was amateur and bland, not cheap. I think the owners should stick to pub food and the meat and 2 veg or burgers. Wasabi, the thought of sushi ect comes to mind. This place could be great, only if they sort out a chef who knows Japanese flavours or even Asian flavours and doesn't try to blag, which is what's going on. Not good.

Went here with great expectation of Asian fusion …sadly we left totally disappointed. The venue is quite small, dark and smoke filled from the kitchen. Starters and mains were nothing special and didn’t taste authentic. Probably not made on the premises! The dining area was also really cold and we ate with our coats on, as the rear door was open to try and get the smoke out of the place. Service was adequate but there’s certainly no bon homie here! We didn’t hang around and went home to get in the shower and wash our clothes which were minging from the smoke in there!

Auradaze was an incredible restaurant. Darren and Laura just amazing hosts. The food was incredible and a great selection! The atmosphere was so homely. We couldn’t have asked for a better meal. Thank you very much!
