This establishment seems to have changed its name so it possibley has a new proprietor also, however this is no detriment. It’s a nice clean cafe with friendly and helpful staff. We only had coffee which was good, but there was also a good selection of cakes, sausage rolls etc.All in all a nice experience.

As a coach driver whi goes all over the country i go to many establishments and always try and give an honest review for my passengers and readers Met up with my family for this day out after bringing 56 ramblers to the area First impressions Very clean and welcoming place and extra tables outside which is always good when weather nice! Slight problem with wheelchair and luckily was my 3 yr old sons so only small wouldn't reccomend a wheelchair as had to adjust tables to make viable and not interfere with other customers also tables very light and with my autistic non verbal son was a bit difficult to keep them in one place but in all fairness that's on me as a parent The cafe was very clean and the food was made fresh we had 2 x full breakfast2 x beans on toast for kids 2 lattes and 2 carton drinks originally came to 44 30 didn't think this was right which was corrected as was overcharged 6 quid so just check your bill as they do have a new system in was no issue 😋 Toilet very small and again no good for my son with a wheel chair so in all honesty for disabilities if your scooter or wheelchair bound I'd give it a miss as is only a small cafe Staff Professional polite and really welcoming Would call again however bit of feedback maybe child prices would be good for beans on toast although did get a big portion 1.75 for a carton drink normally pound is a bit steep again maybe a meal deal for children

Fantastic chocolate, really truly amazing. This is our third visit to Grange and we always look forward to buying these special delicious handmade chocolates, which we eat whilst we are here, and then we go on our last day to take buy some to take home, and buy lots for our friends and family. This is seriously good chocolate with some amazing combinatiobs and variations. Xxx

Well we have waited over a year to visit and it was certainly worth it . Great food, super friendly staff and a great outdoor eating space. Will definitely be back.

This lovely restaurant is situated a little out of the way of the main area of the town - we saw it by accident as we were returning to our hotel. Managed to book a table online and it was quite busy when we arrived. Greeted by a very pleasant member of staff, we chose from a very diverse menu and the food was delicious. It was on the expensive side but the food and service made it worthwhile.

We stopped here on a very warm day for a drink and a bite to eat as we saw it was dog friendly. We couldn't sit on the balcony/patio area as previous dog owners had failed to clean up after their dog had a 💩. We didn't mind as the indoor area was cool with a lovely breeze. We ordered a sausage bap and a tuna toastie with a flat white and a fanta. The lady serving was very pleasant and efficient. Other people came in after us with a dog and were miffed they couldn't sit outside. I think she was fair in saying she had made the decision after the 💩 incident and had to treat everyone the same. They were rather rude and walked out after sitting in another side room that was 'too hot'. The toastie arrived and I was a bit disappointed. Hardly toasted and very runny tuna mayo with nothing accompanying it for £7. The bread was your average sliced bread too. The sausage bap was £8. It had 3 sausages and my husband really enjoyed it. Rather expensive but you're paying for the view/location. I would return but I would not order the tuna toastie again. Poor value for money.

Returned to Grange over Sands today and was looking forward to our lunch at Hazelmere Cafe where we've experienced enjoyable food in the past. We know prices are a little more here but have been happy to pay for quality homemade food and good service. However whilst the service was still good we didn't feel the food lived up to expectations. The cheese and onion pie was sadly not on the menu and have been replaced with a cheese pasty which lacked taste and was decidedly average. The salad garnish and homemade chutney were acceptable but not memorable. We left somewhat disappointed and not sure we would eat there again on future visits 😐

Called in the evening and enjoyed fish and chips, friendly staff advised on gluten free options of which battered jumbo sausage and gravy were delicious. If you're staying in Grange over Sands or passing through to the Lake District, definitely worth stopping by for food. Highly recommended.

Right from arrival it was fabulous. The young lady on reception on the 7th and 8th May was extremely friendly, professional, chatty and knowledgeable. The room was good. Personally I would like a larger bed but we slept well which is all that matters. It was clean and had everything you needed. We looked at the evening menu and decided it wasn't for us. But then we saw the bar menu and there were some interesting choices. The food I ordered was extremely tasty and I am.a very fussy chef in our own guest house. I was impressed. The only thing I did not like was the 10% automatic service charge. I never like them. Is it for carrying a plate from the kitchen to the dining room? I would have given a larger tip than 10% were it not for this. Anyway, lots of parking, lovely hotel, excellent staff, decent enough breakfast. I would definitely go back.
