The best restaurants in Sefton North West

Very sorry to be writing this review. Past experience of Cranberries was always good but not today. Will not say anything about food that was fine but the staff were not. The waitress who. ‘Served’ us seem to find my sister and I an Intrusion to her conversation with another girl. Our food was virtually thrown onto our table and she never even looked at me as I payed again in her haste to get back to another conversation. She never asked if we had enjoyed lunch, thanked us for coming or wished us a pleasant day.in fact she was just plain rude. I will never be returning to Cranberries ever again, we found the experience quite unpleasant.

As regular customers we decided we would not be disappointed to celebrate our 46 years of married together for a delicious lunchtime meal. Many thanks to the owners for the kind gesture which arrived as a surprise during our meal. 👍😋

Called into The Kitchen by chance and was greeted with a lovely welcome and smile by Aga. It's so nice to visit such a pleasant cafe with such amazing staff Our Milkshake was amazing !!!!

Fantastic Sunday lunch everything was delicious especially the beef. If you’ve never been before you won’t be disappointed ! Was so surprised at the bill amazing value food was just over £53 for five people ! Only one had roast and the rest had burgers, pies and scampi all were delicious especially the separate jugs of gravy which were very tasty. Thanks to all the staff for excellent and attentive service. Will definitely take family there again.

As a regular customer- not such a good lunch experience this time. Revised menu offers less choice. After a 30 minute wait food arrived greasy & luke warm. Staff were unsympathetic & unapologetic. Dukes have now lot a regular customer.

Vastly improved since the last time I was there, good for watching music, pity about few of the clientele that spoil it for the rest. Update: it's such a a pity that a few rule the place, spoils it for everyone else.

Tried Sixty Kitchen for the first time last night after hearing the girl in work going on about how good the food is. Where do I start, the ribs OMG the amount of meat on them is huge and it just falls off the bone so soft and succulent, tase is amazing! Them char sumai’s ( probably my fave thing in our order) I’ve never tasted anything like them, the flavour and texture were insane and they should be on every menu. We then had the crispy chilli chicken and beef curry with special fried rice, again all beautifully cooked and seasoned, nicer than most restaurants I’ve ate in. Finally the sixty chips, these were huge more like wedges so soft and fluffy inside and crispy on the outside with a nice seasoning. From ordering to pick up the service was excellent. Portions are generous, so much so my husband had the leftovers for lunch the next day. We live in Widnes so it took us 30 minutes to drive back and everything was still hot enough to eat when we got home. Can’t wait for the Allerton Road one to open as we will be regulars now. Keep up the great work!

Gone right downhill. Its just average takeaway food. Madras and buna ssuce just watery and bland. Small amounts of meats king prawns are not king. Pickle tray poor and nan dry Quite expensive 2 pop pickle tray 2 meals £41 God whats happened to the place

Had a g8t nite watching a brilliant band called KANE.

First time trying this restaurant, we were warmly greeted, the gentlemen serving us was very polite and accommodating . Lunch hours run until 5pm so you wouldn't feel rushed if you went in for a late lunch. We shared a meatball starter which we both loved, tasty but not too rich, and had pizza mains which again were very nice. Will definitely be back to try some more options on the menu!

Excellent food served by friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money. Have now dined here 3 times and have never been dissatisfied with either food or service.

Great cafe. Had Mediterranean breakfast and was immense. Friendly service and reasonable prices. Kids meals are generous and good value
