Went here for the first time today . Lovely interiors . Very cosy . Ample dinner menu or afternoon teas . Lots of homemade cakes to choose from . The nice atmosphere and the delightful crockery and cutlery make it a lovely dining experience

Great food & experience as always

Had cake and coffee special choose homemade scones with jam and clotted cream was really nice, good service and cosy armchairs, my friends dog had cheese dog biscuits, all food looks lovely friendly staff, look forward to going back.

Fabulous breakfasts. So good my husband wanted to lick the plate clean. Very tasty. We love the surroundings. Lovely staff and the homemade biscuits with our coffees were delicious and a lovely touch.

Good food, nice varied drinks, good service and a good welcoming atmosphere. Why not visit?

Such a special place. Top quality food, truly delicious. But also a family run restaurant and so friendly. Totally recommend.

We stayed at Arthur’s Bar for one night on 10/08. Initially it seemed very pleasant. Check in staff were polite and helpful. When we were showed our room, first impression was that it was small but adequate for our needs and it was clean. We were then informed that breakfast was cancelled the following morning, which was very inconvenient as there was nowhere else nearby. Upon returning to our room after spending evening with friends, we realised that you could not see the television from the bed as it was located in an alcove in far right of the room. The bed itself was extremely uncomfortable. It seemed that it was decades old and the springs really dug into you. It took a long time to get off to sleep and every time you shifted position, you were woken by springs digging into new parts of your body. What really capped the experience off, was the sound of raucous laughter and loud, full volume chatter at 7.30 on a Sunday morning We assumed that it was ignorant guests. I was really surprised to discover that it was cleaning staff, 2 women showing each other TikTok videos with absolutely no regard or consideration for the guests. So after a terrible nights sleep due to the mattress, being woken early by inconsiderate staff, no breakfast and a 5 hour drive back home ahead of us, we were extremely angry and disappointed. By rights we should be due a refund but we just wanted to get out of there. Southport itself is a beautiful place. Arthur’s Bar is a stain on the character of this charming, Victorian seaside town. If you ever decide to visit Southport, do yourself a favour and stay well away from Arthur’s Bar.

I made an order through the app and straight away called to ask for the gluten free dough as it says online this has to be a personal request and cannot be done through the app, My call was then answered by a very unenthusiastic girl on the phone who said “ no we can’t” “we only do small gluten free pizzas”, This doesn’t seem fair to me that you have to be punished for certain dietary requirements! What was stopping them just rolling 2 lots of small gluten free dough together to maker a larger one?

Went today, 27.10.24. Booked table for 10.30am to be returned by 12.15pm as it was busy which is always a good sign. Food delicious and we were well looked after by Amber. Women’s toilets very clean. Would return. Thank you for looking after us.

At short notice, they supplied everything from the water urn to 2 members of staff for a family event. We ordered the silver buffet. All of the food was fresh, well presented and tasty. After a discussion with the servers, the food which we didn't eat was donated and did not go to waste. Very professional, discreet and good value for money. Would strongly recommend.

After a long afternoon walk we decided to find a kebab house for a well deserved bite to eat. We could not have struck it luckier! Our donner kebabs were delicious. Generous portions of donner meat and salad, just the right amount of chilli sauce. The staff were very polite and welcoming. Genuine service with a smile. Definitely worth a visit if you are ever in Standish

Fantastic..... we ordered our Cheese Wedding Cake from Gill,it was gorgeous everyone thought it was wonderful, crackers provided of various varieties were just gorgeous. The cheese was displayed beautifully on a board with fersh fruit ,and the 2 little wooden mice for keepsake were the cutest thing. Thank you for help making our day special 💕
