A lovely tea room, so warm and welcoming in a pretty village setting. The staff were very friendly and we were served quickly. I was very impressed with the service and nothing was too much trouble. Vegan options are readily available. The scone I had was, by far, the best I have ever eaten and the latte was fabulous. I would highly recommend a visit, and will most definitely be returning.

My friend just treated me to afternoon tea here. Mine was vegan, and it was lovely. Sandwiches had 2 vegan cheeses on, there was salad, crisps, scone with jam and cheese, and a gorgeous lemon cake which was so light. We had a very generous pot of tea, I had oat milk, also a glass of prosecco. The service was quick and friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely. Highly recommended.

Booked an afternoon tea for my mum's birthday after reading the good reviews. It didn't disappoint in fact this is the best afternoon tea I have ever had. The sandwiches are made to order and the cakes and scones are baked fresh daily and you get to choose which cake you would like. I will be back again and will definately recommend to others. Thank you ladies for making my mum's birthday a special day.

Fabulous afternoon tea for Valentine’s day with Mum and Hubby. He is coeliac and needs a gluten free diet and it is hard to find places that understand fully- the gluten free afternoon tea was amazing choice of sandwich, scone with clotted cream and jam and a very generous slice of gf carrot cake washed down with a pot of tea. Mum and I were equally spoilt with a choice of sandwiches and cake. We decided on salmon and cucumber sandwiches fresh and delicious served with salad and crisps. The choice of cakes was impressive and delicious and fresh. We couldnt manage it all so they kindly offered to make a doggy bag which we took home. All served on vintage china of course. The staff are all welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble thank you for a lovely time.

This was a location for a light-lunch on our trek north to Keswick for a holiday in the Western Lakes. Knowing that my Partner likes a good strong cup of tea and a cake, my quest was to find a café that was not too far-off the main route, but well-away from the motorway service stations. Timing was important, with the journey expected to take somewhere in the region of 6 hours. Ideally the stop needed to leave about 1.5 hours of driving to our destination. I had contacted the tea room and advised that our arrival would be sometime between 12:45 and 13:30, and we arrived at 13:15, three hours and 45 minutes after departure. The tea room presented well, with tasteful decor, and everything looked clean. Menus were quickly provided and I ordered a pot of strong tea. For our snack lunch my partner ordered a bacon, brie and cranberry sandwich which was not strictly on the menu (there was the same filling in a ciabatta but the very pleasant manageress was happy to accommodate the variation). I ordered a chicken, bacon and mayonnaise ciabatta. The tea arrived in a really large teapot and it was certainly strong; indeed perfectly strong (we can’t be doing with weak tea). Over the course of the lunch we each drank three good-sized cups and there was still some left. The food soon arrived and the presentation was really good with a really pleasant side salad. The bread for my Partner’s sandwich was fresh the filling was beautifully cooked. My food was equally good with a lovely fresh toasted ciabatta and tender chicken and good thick bacon. We couldn’t have wanted more. Sadly, my Partner could manage a slice of one of the many attractive cakes on offer, having ordered thick sliced bread for her sandwich, over the thin sliced alternative. Service was excellent and it was a joy to have visited. The bill? £15.90, a bargain. Our onward journey took just over 2 hours.

I’d had my heart set on the Vintage Tea Room for my Baby Shower from the start, as I always thought it looked so beautiful every time I walked past and it didn't disappoint. It was like something from Alice in Wonderland when I walked in, the decor is just gorgeous, we had lots of space but it was still a cosy environment. I hired out the room and it was wonderful having it to ourselves, the owner was attentive but left us to enjoy the shower and was happy for my sisters to decorate and bring extras. The afternoon tea was in a buffet style which I’d never had before and I felt worked well as we could then just take whatever was left over at the end and accommodated for various allergies. The sandwiches were really tasty and the cakes provided were beautiful. All very good quality food. It was everything I’d hoped for and would strongly recommend the Tea Rooms for any event, can’t wait to find an excuse to go back!

Had my first post lockdown visit to this little gem today and it was no surprise that it was, as always, worth the half hour drive. I had vegetable soup with a feta and chutney wrap which was generously filled and delicious. My friend had the pea and ham soup with the salmon and cucumber sandwich. Having both had our fill, but knowing that the cakes in here are to die for, we asked for some to take home. I took two slices of the Victoria sponge because it’s gorgeous every time and my friend took a piece of 4 different cakes because she couldn’t make her mind up. Given that she is a cookery teacher, this is praise indeed. If you haven’t been before, you should definitely try it! You won’t be disappointed.

We wanted to find somewhere local in order to have a small celebration for a special lady on her birthday who couldn't be with us, my nan.We definitely found the perfect spot in Churchtown just off the main route, set back off the road with indoor and outdoor dining (good weather permitting). There is on street parking and local bus service nearby. Our intention was to try their afternoon tea, and oh what a treat.Their cakes had potential to rival Mums and that takes some doing. The place is clean, presentable, cosy and has a lovely feel that you get from being a local independent. Home made sandwich, scone with jam and clotted cream, cake and a drink, all for £9.95. The staff were friendly and attentive. Origionally from the Southwest, i’m partial to a decent home made scone with plenty of jam and clotted cream (no other cream will do!!). These were worth it. Almost as good as those in the Southwest!! Look forward to returning for another catch up.

Quaint little tea room. The last two occasions I have visited, I have noticed different staff working in there, and they have seemed a little flustered trying to cater with the numbers. I'm not sure whether this tea room has changed hands. The previous staff were always very polite and chatty, but the atmosphere has definitely changed. That aside, the food was good and nicely presented. I just had to wait a long time to be served. Then I had to ask for dessert, then the bill.

In July I was given a voucher for afternoon tea for two as a birthday present. Today we went at lunch time and I used the voucher to buy us both soup and sandwich followed by a pot of tea and a coffee. The place was busy with some reserved tables but we were offered a table. There is plenty of choice of sandwich fillings - the chicken and bacon bound with mayo was exceptional and the cheese filled ones were full of very tasty cheese. Both filings were generous. The soup was delicious and home made. This venue deserves to do well; the food is very reasonably priced and the establishment is very clean. A lovely venue to bear in mind on a gloomy winter day as it is cosy and friendly. Kim has got it just right. Our lunch there made a very pleasant change from a pub lunch. It was very relaxing.

We had soup, toasted sandwich and a latte to finish. Wanted one of the many delicious cakes but didn't have room so we asked for a carry out of victoria sponge and chocolate cake. Not only were we more than full but quids in on the meal from the previous day which quite frankly was no way near as tasty and a lot more expensive. Think we'll just go to Kim's every day next time we visit.

My friend took me for lunch at Kim's tea and coffee shop last Friday. What a find! The decor was charming and the service excellent. I ordered a vegetable soup and sandwich. Everything was homemade and tasted delicious. The prices were also very reasonable. I will definitely be coming back for more!

We went to Southport on a new year's break. We found the Wellington by accident while looking for somewhere to watch the world darts on TV. It really is a gem of a local pub and the staff were so accommodating to us. Plenty of good beer including craft ale hand pulls at extremely reasonable prices. Thanks guys, highly recommended.

I'm sat here right now eating the best belly buster breakfast Ive had in a very long time. Fast friendly service. Had to wait a few mins for a table but well worth it

Just had an excellent bacon, sausage and cheese toastie (with chilli sauce); and a goats cheese, pesto, tomato and rocket focaccia. Best quality in Ainsdale! And loads of goodies on the shelves.

Went for brunch. Took a while to decide what to choose as there are so many things to choose from. I had the corned beef hash with spicy beans,.. my mother had a mushroom omelette. Both were piping hot an delicious. Will definitely call in again before I leave the area.

Ordered a breakfast wrap & it was delicious the wrap was big enough to hold entire filling in place.. no dripping or unfolding which would cause a messy eat. Fast delivery & food hot on arrival will absolutely order from flight 22 again well done guys & thank you :)
