Picked the only day with wind and rain and it was actually really nice that the café was warm when it opened. Nice ambience. Really friendly staff. We had breakfast baps, a little dry perhaps but the mushrooms were tasty. Sensible prices. Dog friendly.

We came for the pottery wheel class and it was great fun. Great having one one one help from Sarah as we had never done it before and we ended up both being able to make something to take home in the future :)

Popped in after a long walk down Formby beach. Staff were very warm and welcoming, great selection of ales and the place was full of well behaved dogos...had a great time! Hopefully will have the time to pop in again next time I go down to Formby 🙂

The food was delicious, and my server was adorable. The hostess had an attitude, but it kind of fit the gangster ambiance, lol. The pictures on the wall are fun to look at. I ordered the Ruben, and it was literally the best I've ever had. We also ordered a chicken salad, and it was great also.

Style over substance. We went for my wife's birthday and the welcome was really nice, albeit her complementary prossecco turned up ten minutes before everyone else's drinks. The mains were very much a mixed bag. Cod loin was good but the lamb rump was full of sinue and gristle. My daughter couldn't cut hers with a steak knife and mine despite being very pink was tough. Both were sent back and when they returned they were clearly the same pieces of meat, over cooked, still full of gristle, and mine was monumentally over salted. As a piece of good will we were offered free desserts which was a nice gesture, but my wife's ice cream arrived a good 10 minutes before the rest of the desserts, the chocolate fondant was a very nice cake, but no fondant and the sticky toffee sundae had filling ripper rather than honeycomb and the sponge was very dry. As a positive at least we didn't get the mandatory optional service charge added to our bill. Go to Sorrento's if you are in the village.

Had fish here quite alot over the years and always loved it. Visited yesterday on my way home from work and bought 3 fish and honestly the fish was awful. The fish was extremely dry and tough. £26 was honestly a waste of money. I doubt I'd ever order from there again.

Having walked nearly 10 miles along the beach, the dunes and through the pinewoods, Kitty’s Tea Rooms were a very welcome sight! I only wanted a cup of tea but couldn’t resist the coffee walnut cake (YUM) and a very tasty Club Sandwich. Very friendly staff, and a great atmosphere. Perfect.

Me and my friends visited pressed today, the food was amazing! This is the second time I have been back for the cajun pasta and I will definitely be going back again! Staff are friendly and there is a lovely atmosphere. 10/10 for service and food! Compliments to the chef also 👏🏻.

We visited on Thursday 27th March 6.15pm , 7 of us . The food was exceptional & the service even better , our waitress (Olivia ) is such an asset & a credit to Emily’s , she couldn’t do enough for us , starters where all really nice especially the chicken satay croquettes , the peanut sauce was delicious ! Our mains followed and they were equally well received with the Steak & chicken supreme standouts . Nothing could have been better a really lovely night . Highly recommended .

Food was actually alright but would never return the man who works there is rude and needs learn keep his opinions to himself absolutely ridiculing me for being a young mum. Won’t be back and I’d suggest other people don’t either
