Terrible Experience i had here. Visiting Liverpool always as someone living in Germany. I always loved coming here because the name is German and it gives me a happy feeling. But crazy enough the guard (a lady) picked on me from head to toe, and told me I couldn't get in. My jaws and excitement dropped.i asked her why and she said she wouldn't tell me why. I insisted she must tell me why, she said because I am alone. Immediate came a white young teenage girl and she let her in alone. I asked why is that girl half my age going in and not me, she said I am not welcome I should go to the next bar. Wow! I was very disappointed,so I asked the customers at the door to please asked this lady if it's because I am black so I should know black single customers cannot go in but white ones could, she told a customer because i look drunk but the customer and his girlfriend said no I don't look drunk. She then called her colleague guards who said yes I couldn't go in because I am alone . What nonsense. I am a hard-working 40 year old gorgeous woman who goes out seldom on my business trips and you treat people like trash because i cherish your place and want to go in? All other bars and clubs in Mathews street treated me equal to others, led me in only this? I pity the owner if he encourages this people to behave like these. Never ever will I even look at that place again. Disgusting racist people.Impoliteness to people because of their race is unacceptable. Discriminative and weird Guards here.
It was my daughter's moving-in day at university, after a day of driving unpacking, and getting settled in. We went for something to eat in quite late on. We had cod & chips with two lovely mugs of hot tea .
The staff were great, friendly welcoming place and we will be back as it was such a nice place with lovely people and great food.
We stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel for three nights and eat in the restaurant on two nights. Unfortunately, the first night was not very good. My wife is Gluten Free and the choice on the menu was very limited. In the end a meal had to be adapted and she finished up with salmon on a bed of salad. To say that the salad was just thrown together would be an understatement. Then for dessert, the only choice was a fruit scone and, believe it or not, they did not have any. My meal, and those of our friends were OK but you can't mess up fish and chips. However, for a hotel of this standard, we certainly did not think this acceptable. My wife made her feeling felt to the restaurant manager. He said that they were having a management meeting the next day and that he would raise the issue. He must have done because, the next time we went in for dinner, any choice my wife would make would be adapted to suit her diet. Well done but, surely, there should not have been the necessity to have to have a confrontation over a diet which is not a fad.
This was recommended and we were so grateful! Having had a cup of tea in an afternoon, we went back for breakfast the next day. Not only was the coffee and tea good, the young staff were amazing. They were smiley, friendly and helpful. A young man carried my tray to my table without me even asking!! Whilst we were probably around 50 years older than the other customers, we didn’t feel intimidated or odd. A wonderful place to visit!!

Lots of time to kill before catching our flight for a week's holiday in Salou ,my twin brother Stephen and I decided to drop into Caffe Ritazza and what a nice start to our holiday.
A big outlet, neat and tidy, lots of seating, glass counters showcase the goodies on offer and staff here are superb .
We got a coffee each, served steaming hot, we chilled out and looked forward to our upcoming holiday.
Coffee served in here was spot on ,tasty and consistent till the last sup ,really enjoyed our visit here before we moved on.
Easy to locate departure side,John Lennon Airport.
Ordered the 48 piece sushi platter - was super fresh and portion size was excellent. Never thought I’d see the day where I’d be collecting sushi from Breck Road! Hope this place stays :-)
