Sotos Greek Taverna & Crispy Cod in Liverpool

It was my daughter's moving-in day at university, after a day of driving unpacking, and getting settled in. We went for something to eat in quite late on. We had cod & chips with two lovely mugs of hot tea . The staff were great, friendly welcoming place and we will be back as it was such a nice place with lovely people and great food.

Fish and Chips tasted excellent. Cooked to order. Fish batter light and crispy and fish very fresh. Went back next night half hour before they were closing. Owner agreed to let us sit in even though they were closing soon. Beef Chow Mein delicious and Fish and Chips as excellent as night before. Friendly, helpful staff. Would definitely go back if in the area.

Really tasty fish, batter very light and crispy. Very friendly staff. Complimentary mushy peas and curry, very much appreciated.

Love this place we have been going there over 5 years the food is great and the staff could not be more helpful we would recommend to all

Just had the best fish and chips from Crispy Cod. The chips were golden and the fish beautifully white and done in a lovely thin Crispy batter, just as the name sugggests.

Thought I’d try the fish and chips. Big mistake. Have given it 1 as chips were decent. More batter than fish, greasy soggy and wish I hadn’t bothered. Better fish in a fish finger and about same quantity.

Enjoyable had a nice evening .service was good bit pricey but the same with most tavernas people n Liverpool

Went in for fish and chips to take away. Got home unwrapped and was very disappointed when I saw the 2 large fish we'd paid £3.60 each for were actually very small thin slithers. If they were large I'd wouldn't want to see the the small. Won't be returning, very expensive and a lot smaller than expected does not live up to their name.

El personal no estaba muy amable y el gerente parecía gritarles. su personal está contento de que mantendrán contentos a sus clientesCocine los alimentos correctamente y use ingredientes frescos. A nadie le importa esperar unos minutos para obtener papas fritas frescas y pescado fresco.Sigue estas reglas y volverás a poner tus alimentos en buen camino y regresaré con todos tus otros clientes, sigue como estás y terminarás cerrado

Servicio impactante.La comida estaba mal, cuando llamamos eran extremadamente groseros. Cuando dijimos que nos quejaríamos, él nos dijo lo buenas que eran sus críticas y se reiría. Desde mirar aquí no son tan geniales. Afortunadamente solo - nos han devuelto el dinero y fuimos a un lugar mejor, Yannis en Lord Street, el mejor pescado y patatas fritas de la ciudad.Evite si desea mantener bajos sus niveles de estrés.

Would not go back ... EVER. Chicken must have been days old and staff are rude. It appears that the business is poorly run, with the chef arguing with the female on the till.

Usamos este preparado sobre cada mes durante los últimos 2 años, mientras visitaba a mi hija en uni a la vuelta de la esquina y las cosas son normalmente muy buena pero esta vez todos estábamos bastante enfermo después del pescado y patatas fritas. Que es una lástima, ya que este es el momento 1 calle algo ha sido buenointentaremos de nuevo antes de tratar de encontrar otro lugar espero que volveremos a su antigua gloria

Visited this Restaurant for lunch whilst out shopping with my Mum in Liverpool. We received an extremely warm welcome, their menu is extensive with something for everyone's palette. Food was absolutely delicious and such fantastic value for money. Would highly recommend.

Loved this place so clean great value for a lovely meal ,had fresh barbecued chicken rice and salad it was lovely ,staff were great meal was quality first time and will eat here again

Personal muy agradable que era champán y amable, y todo el establecimiento a la zona de baño estaba impecable,la comida estaba bien caliente y era abundante en porciones, por no mencionar sabroso. El personal era siempre a mano para beber, etc., extravolveré.

Me and my partner ordered a meal of Groupon when we got there the restaurant was closed so we had to sit in the chippy side of the business the owners where really bad maned .when we got are food it did not look or taste of what it should of .they asked if we wanted fried rice or boiled rice to go with or supposed Greek meal .we left without finishing are meal and the owners didn't even bother asking whether there was a problem with the food .but they probably new it was bad anyway

Went with a Groupon voucher, Firstly for the price we paid very good value, but the fish was thin & small so it is hard to give an honest review as there was not much to taste. The chips were good & the tea was hot.

I went there with a Groupon voucher for Fish and Chips for 4 including a drink. Initially greeted by the most dour faced server ever. Who said we could only get a tea or coffee. Then only a glass of juice then finally relented to a can of juice each. The "fish" was in fact half a piece of fish. The food was very greasy. Looking at the prices we only saved about £2 with this deal. I would not recommend this establishment

My sisters and I usually eat here each Saturday lunchtimes as we love the fish and chips.

Visited here with a groupon voucher for chips fish and drink was presented with a child size fish and tea or coffee. Though server seemed friendly she put my change from the extra fish I ordered on the counter not in my hand which I find rude. Though tasty at the end I found a cod worm n though not hArmful it put me right off

Can not fault this restaurant, huge selection for the all you can eat buffet and staff positively encourage to go up for more.

I love fish and chips and crave and want to try it wherever I see the sign. The best fish and chips is still the one in Littlehampton and London on the day my brother carry the torch by Hackney just wish could remember the names as several years ago. No fish and chips have ever been the same but the one in Albert Docks came close.

We had a great little meal here pizza salad and a cheeky glass of wine Good value for money with friendly staff It has a take out service to also service Chinese food

We bought a groupon voucher, and I think it cost £4. the £4 bought a small (the size of 2 sausages) piece of fish , a handful of chops and the worst coffee/coffee substitute I have ever tasted. Go elsewhere it couldnt be worse

Although we were the only customers at 6pm on a Saturday night, it was still a good atmosphere. The waitress, who was the owner's wife, was very pleasant and friendly. The food was excellent and obviously freshly cooked, and the service was quick. We chose Greek food but there was a big selection of Chinese,English,Italian and Greek food available, well worth a visit

My partner and I was out shopping when we came across this restaurant.we decided, as it was early afternoon, we d have fish and chips. The fish was a decent size and was fresh and the batter was lovely and crispy. The chips, I have to say were absolutely gorgeous, proper home made chips. Not greasy or skinny, just 'proper' chips! The waitress was lovely and very helpful. Next time we re gonna try the Chinese buffet, all you can eatfor 6.95!!a proper bargain!

Both the Greek food and the fish & chips are excellent. Also the staff are really friendly. Highly recommended.
