Mahoe Blue Liverpool We visited this superb establishment, midweek (Wednesday 11 Sept’ 24’) I was celebrating my birthday in Liverpool & we fancied some Jamaican Cuisine & found this gem in Liverpool. The host Andrea (proprietor) was warm & welcoming & we felt at home immediately. She explained the history behind her establishment & this reflected in their decadent decor; “Their Journey” which was inspired by her Grandmother. We ordered an array of choices via menu; Curry Goat; Rice & Peas; Plantain; Jerk Chicken; Festivals; Homemade coleslaw; Rum Punch & Guinness Punch. What can I say but the food was authentic & tasted absolutely, magnificent. The rice was served in Calabash Bowls (natural coconut bowls) We shall surely be returning to this fabulous establishment; Mohoe Blue, (aptly named after The Blue Mahoe (Hibiscus Elatus) which is the national tree of Jamaica. If you are looking for an authentic Jamaican eatery in Liverpool, look no further than Mahoe Blue. (Husband & Wife duo) I can assure, you will not be disappointed.

I booked our table online, in the comments I noted it was a birthday, didn't need to though because it wasn't even acknowledged. We got to our table ordered drinks no alcohol is served and soft drink arrived in cans at £1.75 each, milkshake quite a wait for. we were offered glasses with the cans! The server we had I think was new at the job, which is fine but we gave her our orders at least twice. We asked for the starters first for us all to share, nachos, onions rings 2 cheese garlic bread came first and 2 wings, bbq and hot came 10 minutes later. 3/4 of the way through the starters the mains started to come out another server joined us and started clearing the side plates, but we hadn't finished. The mains started with 1 burger arriving no chips then we were asked again how many chips we wanted an what type, 5 minutes later one burger ate the rest of the mains came with the wrong chips on each order. Swapped them round with each other it was fine but one person in our group ate his burger on his own then ended up having his chips with the chicken wings from the starters all abit carnage really. Bob burger nice quite filling. Chicken burger lovely really juicy and the slaw had a bit of a kick to it. Fish burger was more like fish fingers than a piece of fish but still nice. Overall food not bad service a bit crazy.

The eatery has recently been totally refurbed inside and out and is now ten times better in looks. More reasons to visit: A more varied menu of affordable hot food and "exotic" butties and a great vegetarian selection. Check out the gigantic scones. Tea for two and one of those scones to share is around £9. Location: nice facing Canning Dock, Mann Island and the Three Graces. Service: Fast, helpful and cheerful. Facilities: (Loo's) plenty and well maintained and clean. Ambience: After the maritime themed refit with ropes and booths it offers a more cosy experience.

This is the slowest service of any Starbucks I’ve ever visited. It’s routine to wait 7-10 minutes after ordering till coffee. The staff are pleasant, but there’s no sense of urgency, rather a lackadaisical attitude and socialising with each other seems more important than serving customers. I’m in here twice a week at this time and I usually wait ten minutes. Really not good enough

I was happy with my food order , from this chip shop. Seems a new person has took over. Premises is very clean too. Food was lovely, was really nice. I would definitely recommend to other people.

Absolutamente espantoso.

Ordered signature vanilla ice cream and was sent soft scoop from aldi, possibly tesco? Ice blasts literally just ice, phone number unavailable so can even ring, won't be using again, try yums on Kensington much better

When we last stayed in the hotel this area of the ground floor was a not very appealing coffee shop. It has now been upgraded into a pleasantly decorated bar with well spaced seating. We very much enjoyed our visit for a glass of wine before dinner one evening.

My girlfriend asked for a medium strawberry acai with lemonade but no ice and the drink cost £5.60 already for this price you could expect them to fill the cup, instead served a small cup half full, i asked if they could fill it up with lemonade as every other starbucks has done. I had to ask for a refund as i wasnt paying £5.60 for a half drink, we sat down to enjoy some time together and we overheard us them attempt to whisper about me asking for a refund by one staff member to the other and i found this to rude, when all i asked was a simple request. Any other starbucks or even staff have been much more accommodating. Wont be returning and ask people to go to the other starbucks in town centre.

Stopped in for a drink today after touring the Red Brick Market. The staff on shift were amazing. They didn't have any drinks for kids really so they made 2 blackcurrant juice using the mixers. No charge! They said it's just water really, how amazing is that? My daughter wanted a birthday cocktail (age 8) I asked for a mocktail and they said we don't have them, but I'll knock something up. It was lovely as well! The bar was clean and the atmosphere was good. It was £12 for a Guinness, a half Stella, the mocktail and a coke. Brilliant. I'd visit again in the future.
