We were told this pub was the roughest in Lancaster. So of course it was a 'must try' for us. Let me tell you, this pub is a bit dated, but it's a great little pub. The landlady was very chatty and made us feel extremely welcome. The locals were friendly and it had a nice atmosphere. So don't judge this pub based on others views, we really liked it and will definitely back on our next visit.

On-campus restaurant/takeaway. Great choice of dishes - good value deals or full menu choice. The dishes we had were really tasty and portions were good. Many dishes not normally seen at an 'english' Chinese place. The place is no-frills with shared tables. You order at the counter and collect your food when called. It's not fancy, but a good place to eat if you're on campus.

Not too pricey, huge delicious portions, popular with the locals. A true hidden gem! Definitely recommend a visit.

Fantastic hidden gem, breakfast is served until 11.45am, the food is delicious, highly recommend, great for walkers, dog walkers, local people, coming off the motorway for a break, for cyclists it's right near the main route of the way of the roses, Pendle witches trail, lands end of John o gaunt.

Absolutely delicious - every bite was a sheer delight! So much care taken in the combination of flavours and presentation. Homemade too with warm and friendly service. We thoroughly enjoyed our Mother’s Day.treat! Thank you.

The food at JG Burrito bar is delicious. As well as my savoury burrito I also had a chocolate burrito which was amazing. I'll only have one next time though as they are really filling. We had to wait a little while for the food but it was freshly cooked so we didn't mind. They had a lovely Alice in Wonderland tea party inspired room in the back. The staff are really helpful and friendly.

What a fantastic little cafe, a welcome addition to the Assembly Rooms Emporium, which occupies a lovely 18th century Grade II listed heritage building. Such a nice menu. All home made food. I had a lovely steaming bowl of Turkish bean soup, a tasty, freshly-made sandwich, and a pot of tea. I could not resist the cabinet full of gorgeous cakes, scones and tray bakes. The Lavender Cake was delicious. Very friendly service. I hope to return. (You can takeaway/ take home, and also pre-order sweet treats for special occasions).

Qué agradable sorpresa, estaba conduciendo y nunca había llamado, pero hoy lo hice y me sorprendió lo bien que estaba todo. El personal es muy amable y muy buena comida casera fresca.

Had a fantastic lunch here. The menu is interesting but not too big to be overwhelming. Really great choice of vegetarian options, each of us had a different veggie dish and every meal was tasty, well balanced, full of flavour and obviously not out of a packet. Portions were a good size, big enough to be generous and value for money but not so big as to be heavy. The service was friendly but not in your face and we felt like valued customers. There is a lot of choice in Lancaster for lunch but this is certainly one of the best we have tried. The Assembly Rooms suffers a bit from being just out of the passing trade of the town centre but this cafe is a hidden gem so don't miss out!

This little family owned coffee shop has a lovely cosy atmosphere and friendly staff. There are a great range of drinks on offer at reasonable prices. They also do a great breakfast menu and some lovely "light bite" type lunches- soups, sandwiches, baked potatoes etc. Always finish off with one of their delicious home baked cakes or a Wallings ice cream!!
