Small cafe on the riverside walk at Conder Green. The menu is not huge, but it is different, with exceptionally good food … the Summer Salad is to die for. The staff are lovely, really friendly. Even the toilets are good! Well worth a visit.
On-campus restaurant/takeaway. Great choice of dishes - good value deals or full menu choice.
The dishes we had were really tasty and portions were good. Many dishes not normally seen at an 'english' Chinese place.
The place is no-frills with shared tables. You order at the counter and collect your food when called.
It's not fancy, but a good place to eat if you're on campus.
I'd taken a wrong turn on the Way of the Roses and passed a sign for this place, so went for second breakfast and a decent cup of tea.
It was tasty and well presented, reasonable but not large. It was a friendly reception. More like a place I'd go for a leisurely breakfast with friends - hungry cyclists is probably not their target market.
Had a fantastic lunch here. The menu is interesting but not too big to be overwhelming. Really great choice of vegetarian options, each of us had a different veggie dish and every meal was tasty, well balanced, full of flavour and obviously not out of a packet. Portions were a good size, big enough to be generous and value for money but not so big as to be heavy. The service was friendly but not in your face and we felt like valued customers. There is a lot of choice in Lancaster for lunch but this is certainly one of the best we have tried. The Assembly Rooms suffers a bit from being just out of the passing trade of the town centre but this cafe is a hidden gem so don't miss out!
This little family owned coffee shop has a lovely cosy atmosphere and friendly staff. There are a great range of drinks on offer at reasonable prices. They also do a great breakfast menu and some lovely "light bite" type lunches- soups, sandwiches, baked potatoes etc. Always finish off with one of their delicious home baked cakes or a Wallings ice cream!!
Qué agradable sorpresa, estaba conduciendo y nunca había llamado, pero hoy lo hice y me sorprendió lo bien que estaba todo.
El personal es muy amable y muy buena comida casera fresca.
What a fantastic little cafe, a welcome addition to the Assembly Rooms Emporium, which occupies a lovely 18th century Grade II listed heritage building. Such a nice menu. All home made food. I had a lovely steaming bowl of Turkish bean soup, a tasty, freshly-made sandwich, and a pot of tea. I could not resist the cabinet full of gorgeous cakes, scones and tray bakes. The Lavender Cake was delicious. Very friendly service. I hope to return. (You can takeaway/ take home, and also pre-order sweet treats for special occasions).
The food at JG Burrito bar is delicious.
As well as my savoury burrito I also had a chocolate burrito which was amazing. I'll only have one next time though as they are really filling.
We had to wait a little while for the food but it was freshly cooked so we didn't mind.
They had a lovely Alice in Wonderland tea party inspired room in the back.
The staff are really helpful and friendly.
