All round pleasurable experience today. Sunday lunch was excellent. Fresh, hot, plentiful food with thoughtful little added extras. Served by friendly, efficient volunteers. We will be back!

Great little micropub with a great selection of real ales. Friendly staff, lots of locals and us. Definitely worth a visit

Had delicious main and dessert from the specials menu. Usually eat out at local French bistro but tried here as it’s closer to home. The food was exceptional and very affordable and won out over our usual choice. Great ambience, friendly staff, good wine and beer. We would definitely recommend and will be back very soon.

We had a lovely mid week dinner. Using up Tesco vouchers! Eve & Anna were very attentive without being overbearing. Knowledgeable & focused on diners throughout. The food was really good, tasty, hot brought out promptly. A very positive experience

Called for a Sunday roast with the dog. Nice seating area in the bar with a fire. Quick service and friendly staff. Good food, large portions and fair price. Cash or card. Perfect Sunday . Thankyou

Great all day breakfast and hot chocolate royale with cream and marshmallows and a flake. Amazing view over the estuary. Dog sausages a must if you are visiting with your 4 legged companion

I would just like to say that the two staff members this morning where very helpful the service was great. I spit my drink outside and they were so quick to help clean it up and re make my drink for me. Good service isn't recognised enough. Thanks again 🙏

Christmas Dinner was a real disappointment considering what it cost. Frozen veggie pie ,some sort of smashed boiled potatoes and 3 chunks of carrot...serving staff were very good....but the food ....was not cooked by a decent chef/cook...presentation wasn't good...portion size was an issue...went last year was better then...but won't bother this year 2025. 😔

Very disappointed with the trip. A woman called Tracy ruined it for me with her behaviour towards her colleagues. She was having a go at one guy, who was working hard and the way he was dealing with us was great. I don't know if it was because he is black. But her behaviour is unacceptable. I have been on this train before and its not the first time she has done it. She shouldn't even be working on the train behaving like that.
