We were recommended by family to come for a Sunday roast. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will be coming back.

Had a meal here for my birthday, the food was delicious all made fresh. Shirley was lovely, friendly and very helpful. Excellent value for money. Very accessible, plenty of space to manoeuvre wheelchair. Very impressed will definitely be back.

Sadly not providing breakfast anymore. Not so good when you are about to drive off over 200 miles. Dinner was fine, rooms are good. Surely even a continental could be provided?

We held a Buffet lunch at Slyne Lodge to celebrate the life of our late uncle with friend and family. The room was the perfect size. The food provided was excellent and enjoyed by all. The staff were warm friendly and extremely helpful. Thank you for helping us make the day a happy and memorable occasion.

Went on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and was told by a lad that looked about 15 that they don’t take walk-ins. Wouldn’t have minded but the place was half empty and it was about 2pm. Never heard of this before, with the current economic situation I would think they would be happy for the custom. Anyway we went about 100 meters down the road to the Crosskeys and had a fabulous lunch.

Stayed over in our motorhome and had fabulous meal. Would definitely recommend and will definitely revisit

This pub has changed so much for the better, great ambience and the decor is looking very clean and fresh. The pub was busy & the staff were friendly. It was so lovely to see fresh flowers on the tables as opposed to tacky plastic ones & the Halloween decorations were very tasteful and admired.

The room smelt musty and of pets, it was chilly and the traffic noise was evident. It was clean but tired. The price was good but I wouldn't stay again given the room smell and noise. Room only no breakfast.

Had a wonderfully cooked sirloin steak, and my wife had gammon which she loved. Highly recommended and better than many of the other gastro pubs in the area. Service was also great.

We stayed here as a stop off on a walking weekend. The pub is nice enough and the staff are friendly but our room was pretty basic and not clean. Dirt and grime all over the bathroom, other people’s hair and pubes in the sink and shower, the bed sheets were stained. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Came for drinks with a friend. Staff were amazing, particularly Ethan who gave amazing service! Will definitely be coming again.

First visit for lunch. Attentive staff, thanks Harvey. Good menu for choice, reasonably priced. Chose the mixed grill, fabulous. Nicely cooked and well presented. Good choice of wines. New licensee's, last October, redecorated to a high standard.
