The best restaurants in Rossmore Cheshire West and Chester North West

Working away from home and found this little gem, no bells or whistles, good honest home cooked breakfast, food was delicious & no grease, I had the small breakfast and my partner had the medium breakfast, we both had a lovely cup of tea and toast with it. The lady was super friendly. We both had an orange juice and it only came to £11. Everything was clean and delicious, shame we don’t live closer. Can’t recommend this little cafe more for a proper breakfast. Thank you 🙏🏼

First time here and will definitely be going back 3 of us had scampi and hubby had chicken tagliatelle All the food was freshly cooked and very nice Cheesecake and apple tart were amazing

I went in for a drink and a chillout after doing some shopping there was a guy working with 2 young ladies and he had a face on him like a smacked ar*e, very arrogant and I tell you what! If I was the manager there I’d be doing everything to try and get him out. I was there for roughly an hour, the 2 girls (didn’t catch names) were working their socks off whilst he was moping round in what it looked like - a sulk, he kept disappearing into what I’d say ‘the staff area’ he’d come out of it when it was quiet for about 5 minutes then go back in for another 20 minutes. Throughout the time I spent there it got quite busy at times and he still did absolutely nothing. As a customer it felt like he had a negative effect as he was in such a mood. This isn’t the first time I’ve been and he’s been there doing absolutely nothing, being arrogant and leaving everyone else to do the work and it got quite concerning. Other than that my stay was amazing!

Excellent priced sandwiches and still piping hot when we got them back to the office. Definitely worth a try.

Excellent food as always I cannot fault the quality at all

The play area is super shabby, had to watch my daughter closely as there is stuff falling off the wall and exposed screw heads etc (on the tractor thing) She had a nice time on it to begin with though. Food was pretty bad, I had eggshells in my egg which was gross, but otherwise very average microwave pub food. Daughter's sunshine rice had weird sloppy orange stuff in it, possibly very overcooked sweet potato? We then went back to the play area which is very clearly signposted under 5s, a load of older kids came in and knocked my 2yo over throwing the soft play shapes around. I asked a member of staff if they enforced the age limit and he said "usually but it's quiet" 😂 what's the point in having a toddler area if it's not safe for toddlers to play in? I think the staff member was probably scared to ask the parents to get them out. Anyway we just left. Wouldn't go back.

very late and drinks cold and badly spilt. the driver had their car broke down, really they should have sent another driver and redo the order. absolutely terrible service!

Had a dinner bed and breakfast package. Unlike many holiday inn restaurants we had to choose from a different restrictive menu. Disappointing as the choices were clearly the cheapest items off the full menu. We waited about 40 minutes for our main course, the restaurant was virtually empty and no one received better service. The food was nice and hot my chicken burger was good, but I suspect the chicken had been over cooked and the burnt bit removed! Had breakfast in there the next morning it was a typical buffet and not very appetising.

We tried this place on a couple of occasions after being recommended by few people n honestly don't know why, I've eaten ftom many Chinese chippies over the years n for the record can cook most meals on menu, had both English and Chinese food from here and this place is the worse I have experienced, chips are awful, fried rice is vile, and food quality overall is shocking, my grandchildren didn't even eat the food total waste of money, I understand food and have a good pallet, defineatly needs much improvement, sorry guys just being honest, and without honest reviews then nothing can change, hope they can improve in the future x
