very late and drinks cold and badly spilt. the driver had their car broke down, really they should have sent another driver and redo the order. absolutely terrible service!

Standard Costa fare, I had a nice latte. Staff were fine but for some odd reason the espresso machines here are incredibly noisy. I was with someone and we sat about as far from the coffee machine as possible and at times could not hear our conversation. There is a suspended ceiling over the kitchen and over the cafe area. Removing the ceiling over the machines so there is somewhere for the noise to dissipate upwards might help, and extensive use of acoustic tiling and some screening would be much better and probably make massive improvements to the cafe.

Very noisy, no soundproofing measures in place.

Fridge broken so no food!! Always seems to happen.

From ordering food to receiving a cold sausage bap and latte was 15 minutes in the drive thru, with 3 cars in the queue. Pathetic.

Always get my vanilla late in the morning from there and it's always perfect. I sometimes need to shout to the ordering machine as they can't hear me but it's probably just me

Never been to a Costa with such poor customer service and rude staff Left waiting at the counter for 5 mins totally ignore by a young girl who has no customer service skills at all.take a look at there reviews there are a few on there about the staff. There's plenty of other places for a coffee where the staff are polite and smile

I arrived at Costa at 16:58. Doors locked. Why? You close at 17:00 not before.

It's a Costa. Generally, I find they just don't get the flat white right. Other than that, same as any other Costa.

Food is too sweet. Understaffed overworked. Unclear tables are beginning to stack cause staff only have one pair of hands. How they stayed as polite and welcoming as they did is a mystery to me. They should value these members of staff, not take them for granted.

shameless, they just leave out items from your order and don’t give you them, no wonder they’re on minimum wage… then when you go to contact just eat for a refund they ask for photographic proof of the item not arriving… how tf am i meant to show you a image of what didn’t arrive? ridiculous

This Costa has had no fridge now for months and recently keeps having IT issues meaning the staff can't serve you. This store is not up to the normal Costa coffee standards.

Never had a smile from the people working there. Last 3 times we have been fridge never worked. 1st time only had small cups, 2nd and 3rd time we ordered frappes, ordered medium which was the largest but we got given small cups (we order a lot from elsewhere so we know the size). We were charged for a medium to add insult to injury. Also last time to top it off no cream.

Service inside is horrifically slow, they clearly favour the drive thru. Take out drinks were cold within 5 mins & they got the snacks wrong but only realised when I got home.

Called in as needed somewhere to work and take in a decent coffee. Friendly helpful staff got me online and refreshed on a cold early morning. Clean tables and nicely laid out for all customer types. Decent WiFi too. Will be a regular stop off going forward ☕

Clean store, few times recently they have been no sandwiches available. They're reduced the number of comfy seats, so seating is less inviting. Coffee remains at same standard.

Food was late and freezing cold!!

Ordered cheese and tomato toastie, less than average - not a real tomato in sight! Service was shocking, I asked if the chai latte I ordered came with cinnamon, and I was very abruptly told, NO, we haven't done that for years! Well, that was me told! Really unnecessary, a simple explanation would have been enough. I visited midmorning, and in my opinion, it was quiet with maybe 3 other customers seated. Possibly, the bitter taste of customer service has something to do with that. I won't be back to that store!

Send time in the last couple of weeks I have ordered and it has taken a ridiculous amount of time to come both times this time it took 2 hours for 3 hot drinks and toasties and they have turned up cold

Coffee was actually hot for a change today

The hot chocolate wasn't hot when it arrived. Admittedly, I went away from my local area to order as my local shop didn't have the chocolate ganache cake. It also turned out that Ellesmere Port didn't have it either, after accepting my order they substituted it with possibly the worst thing on the menu, a salted caramel brownie.

Lovely clean place with very nice staff, however very rarely has sandwiches as the fridges are always broken. Would buy if available.

Ordered x2 bacon baps, coffee and a croissant. Special notes wrote "Do not subsititue any item without calling customer". I got luke warm coffee, Cold croissant and x2 saussage baps. Seriously what do you have to do to get what you odered delivered within time and hot.

Food and drinks was amazing , delivery was amazing , 😂 I love the note they left in with it to explain they didn’t have any large cups so they sent 2 small lattes instead 🤣🥰 most places don’t Evan explain or take the time to let you know

1 x missing drink, wrongly labelled drinks (labelled cappucino but wasnt a cappucinonit was a hot chocolate) Cold food, toasties with cheese the cheese on top was very hard, it had to be picked off

Wrong item delivered wanted pain a raisen and got a croissant so disappointed

We went inside, service was slow even though it was quite. Ordered 3 ice coffees not one with enough ice. Thanks for 3 lukewarm ice coffees.

Staff didn't acknowledge us, saying, "Hi, I will be with you in a moment," doesn't interrupt your workflow and makes customers feel valued. Coffee wasn't great either weak even with an extra shot. Other than that OK.

Lovely coffee, always a service with a smile, only thing that stopped me giving 5 stars was that outside the venue were 3 or 4 tables that were in the sun but hadn't been cleaned which made the place look a bit untidy.

Me and my family go here regularly (especially my grandad). All the staff are amazing. They are all so friendly and clearly work as a team. Quick to help you and very personable. Love the remodel even though we didn't like having to go somewhere else whilst it was being done 😂. Well done team, costa should really take note of this store.

Good service! Correctly use eco friendly material to protect the coffee in transit so it doesn't spill. Excellent solution, it's just a bit of what looks like circular baking paper with a heat shield foil face down on the coffee and paper the other side, novel, works really well! They didn't have any Victoria Sponge Muffins at time of arrival but instead supplied a Blueberry muffin AND a bonus Lemon Muffin for free! Can't complain there at all at free food 👍. Will use again though regardless. Good service goes a really long way so much appreciated 😊.

Always happy to come to this Costa. We are always greeted with friendly faces and the Staff member Sarah always tries to make our orders extra special.

The silver cover that is meant to be on take out cups to save spillages was not put on my hot drink, the driver was very quick and looked like he was about to smash into my neighbours parked car in the driveway, so obviously my hot drink spilt out onto my food.

Wouldn't bother with this place at all. The Drive Thru lane is rarely open, the service is slow and drinks are sub par. I would suggest going thirsty than visiting here.

they sent a replacement item without asking & still charged me for the item i ordered when the replacement was cheaper. the lid wasnt on my drink properly either so it arrived spilled in the bag. a bad time had by all.

Asked for 2 terrys chocolate orange hot chocolates. And two tolberone lattes with extras. Literally sent just 4 plain lattes. Receipt was correct so someone clearly couldn’t be bothered.

My food order was totally wrong.

Coffee good but 2 of the 3 baps ordered are substituted and won't be eaten as they didn't want these ones. And I'm now going to have to argue with Just Eat to get a refund which is a complete headache. Even more so, as the restaurant could have called me to ask if i wanted a substitution or a refund.

The food was amazing thank you Costa and the delivery time wasn't that bad only 15 mins late that I can deal with however I wasn't at all happy with the delivery driver who not only banged on my door so hard it woke my 11 month old up and put her into tears meaning I was struggling to eat cuz I had to see to her but they ALSO after banging on the door just left my food outside the door on the floor I wasn't happy at all I opened the door to collect and they never Evan looked back didn't care if I received it or not

Great place usually as I go here frequently. Recently it’s been shut more than open. As a person that don’t drive it’s disheartening that you walk there and can take 25 mins to find out you can’t be served as only drive thru open. Disappointed lately with this store.

All good, as you would expect from Costa. Staff nice, clean cafe and coffee was at their highest standards

Some of the staff constantly try to give you less shots than ordered purely because they can’t be arsed. When it’s highlighted you will be met with argument and bad attitude and they will try to tell you a large cappuccino has 3 shots or a medium had 2 etc. they also will give you whatever milk is left in the jug because the sink is so far away and After 15 minutes standing in a clue because they have got every drink wrong before yours! This is every time they have the “reserve” staff on.. Some of the staff are the best around and deserve better colleagues

Slow service when there was no one in the shop and the drive thru was closed... I was given someone else's coffee and there was rubbish on the floor while one of the staff stood playing on her phone. Worst Costa I've ever been in

Drinks were good, it was quiet when we were here and about half the tables needed clearing and condiment station was a bit of a mess. We were here for nearly an hour and tables remained uncleared all that time.

Served by some lovely members of staff and especially by a gentleman called Tom . Tom was super lovely and went above and beyond to make me and my friends happy . Absolute credit to the company. Super clean inside and amazing service. Will definitely be coming back again :)

I've been visiting Costa's allover the UK weekly, for 15 years and this was the worst Costa experience I've had. After waiting almost 15 minutes and still not been served, we walked out. There were only two people in front of us in the queue. We now use Costa as a last resort and support local, small coffee business first.

Don’t bother. It’s never open when it says it is. Been every Friday for last three weeks at 7.45 and it’s closed although the lights are on and staff inside.

Nice Costa Coffee on the edge of Ellesmere Port and close to M53 junction 8. The options are sit in, takeaway or drive thru. Lovely place to sit and relax. I sat in reading my paper and enjoyed a cheese and tomato toastie with a cappuccino. There's indoor and outside seating. Plenty of free parking and there's a petrol station near it.
