Great take away. I've been using the fortune for years. Never had a bad meal. Good sized portions and always cooked fresh and served piping hot. Perfect 👌

My first time here after somebody recommended it. I was passing so i decided to give it a try. I ordered the crispy chicken with chilli. It was quite a long wait considering it wasn't that busy. However the food was really tasty. Big portion with plenty of chilli sauce. Lots of garlic and onions. Very nice. Every Chinese chippy does their own version on this meal. And this is probably the nicest one I've had in years to be honest. If i could make one recommendation though. It would be to serve the chilli sauce separate. So that you can poor it on when you get home. I live at the other end of town. And it took me 10 minutes to get home. And by the time i got home the chicken wasn't crispy anymore. I still enjoyed it but i would prefer the chicken to still be crispy. After all its called crispy chicken. For that reason only i probably wouldn't order this particular meal again from here. 9/10..

Alright place sadly we love their scallops but we have been poorly from undercooked food here twice so it has now put us off. The staff are lovely but sadly the feeling when you walk in isn't a normal chippy so it let's it self down from word go. I hope they improve in time

Fresh chips for locals, reheated ones for visitors. Couldn't order the large selection we wanted because of refusal to take anything but cash.

1st time going there, only had a portion of chips. You know a good chippy by the chips, and these were really nice and even at the large portion it was a generous amount. Definitely give the others off the menu a go next time.

I ordered a soup, to find out its open in the bag, and the soup has made all the other food wet. Unacceptable.

Love this place. Very large portions at very affordable prices. The food is of exceptional quality and always cooked to order. I always use this place and won't go else for my fish and chips.

Have not been here for a while and popped in on my way home. I forgot how good this place is. Fish was huge and my special chow mein was amazing with plenty of meat and prawns. Will be back soon.

Absolutely fantastic food only been using the Fortune since lockdown and probably the best and tastiest value for money in Ellesmere port area! 👍👍The Chicken fried rice is unbelievable such a big portion would feed 3 no probs as does the sweet and sour chicken and the bbq ribs will keep returning forever more! It used to be really good but has gone downhill a bit. The chips are very pale and under cooked. The chicken fried rice was over cooked. The service was slow - waited 25 minutes from ordering to get our takeaway. I feel we need a new Chinese takeaway as I'm really not happy with the quality of the food today.
