Really impressed with all the staff. They all did their best to make our 2 night stay a good one & was always met with a smile from them all. What I did like is that this hotel is tucked away from any major roads so it’s quiet and peaceful especially in the mornings. Would highly recommend. Rooms also come with air con.

My parents stayed here recently. They throughly enjoyed their stay, it's one of the better chain on holiday inn hotels in my opinion. Location is excellent!

I cannot recommend this hotel enough, based solely on the delightful staff. Unfortunately one of our children was poorly whilst we were staying. The staff could not have been more helpful, from the lady in housekeeping asking if we needed any extras to the lovely receptionist giving us biscuits for the journey home.

Well where shall I start... This is the first time we have stayed in a Holiday Inn, Ellesmere Port. It has to begin with a big massive WOW! And a big massive THANK YOU for such a lovely weekend in this hotel. We decided to book this last minute for a 1 night stay after a shopping trip to Cheshire Oaks. We ended up booking extra nights and stayed for the weekend, I'm so glad we did! The food was absolutely amazing! Restaurant quality, couldn't fault anything, 10/10 to the Chef☆☆☆☆☆ We arrived there in the evening about 7pm. The staff are absolutely amazing. We where greeted by the early evening manager Vicky Ash, she was so polite and very welcoming. She made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. She was very informative about everything we needed to know about the hotel, as in meal times/menus the facilities available to us such as swimming pool, 24hr bar and room service! Vicky is such lovely person and so hospitable, we look forward to seeing her again on our next visit. But most of all we would really like thank Alex May and Dale Guyton, who covered the late evening shift. These guys where absolutely amazing! They where so fuuny and we had such a memorable, enjoyable weekend with them. They where both really easy going young guys; with a great sence of humour. We had an 2 night stay there! And had we not been in work the next day, i think we'd still be there now!!! These guys are an absolute credit to Holiday Inn Ellesmere Port! These guys could run this hotel hands down between the 2 of them without a doubt! Its obviouse to see why people come to stay at this hotel, and we will definitely be back! The fact local residents call in for an evening meal or drink of a weekend says it all... especially when there are plenty of other restaurants and bars in the area! We spoke with some lovely local people who where in there... they said they come here because they love the the food, drinks and people who work here! We totally agree and will definitely be back! Thanks for a great weekend guys, we will definitely see you all soon. Marie & Paul xxx

Very welcoming when we arrived, very late in the evening, the reception staff & bar staff were very attentive as were the restaurant staff in the morning. The room was very comfortable & clean. Lovely view out onto the canal from the restaurant with a couple of barges moored. Free parking right outside the hotel. Will definitely stay there again if in the area. There is also a gym & pool available to guests. Fab stay, thank you.

I met at the Holiday Inn yesterday for a meeting with work colleagues. Why 5 star? Great location - just off the M53 and by the canal side. A warm welcome and a smile from the reception team - Vicky and Nadiza. Clean and comfortable lounge. Attentive staff serving coffee. Easy parking. Definitely a pleasant place to meet. Well done Vicky.

Stayed here many times, love this hotel, my only issue would be the wifi. Connectivity in my room was not great. While my devices would connect, it could be very slow and would drop out. Other than that, the rooms are nice and the staff are great here. Would definatly recommend.

Had a wonderful and relaxing time at the Firestation Cafe today. The Owner Jake is a wonderful man and always makes you feel welcomed and relaxed. I decided to enjoy some coffee ☕️ and dinner and it was delicious 🤤…… Cooked to perfection! I ordered the Cajun Chicken which is one of my favourites on the menu.Very Tasty and Satisfying……. Thank you Jake & Lauren for the welcome today, for your hospitality😃 and the delicious food.

Pre booked for the festive meal for a party of 9 . There was 1 person in room apart from us , the table wasnt even decorated for a Christmas meal . 8 of us asked for the festive meal , only to be told there is no TURKEY . We changed it for chicken and waited . 8 roast chicken dinners came to us , and 1 freshly cooked Lasagne ALL BURNT . After complaining 3 times and refusing to pay bill we agreed to pay 50'/. Of the bill . Next day we sent a complaint to the Manager Dave Cobb who firstly wished us a lovely christmas ??? Spoke briefly about our Stern critique ??? , ( it was not a criticism it was a COMPLAINT !!! ). There was no genuine apology from him , basically he said " it's impossible to satisfy every individual pallet ". Our pallets are great , it's the chef's cooking that's not palatable . It is a shame because the Hotel is lovely .

Our favourite place to come for brunch after football. The team, as always, went above and beyond with the orders for our family (all with different dietary requirements). The boys had the classic big breakfast with local products at a great price. I tried the weekend special eggs Benedict and it was amazing. The boys filled their boots. The girls enjoyed new things. The doorstop toast alone is worth the visit. Sadly, no room for my favourite one the menu - parsnip cake, but the cake-away option meant I could enjoy it later. We brought a friend for their first visit and she was blown away.
