The best restaurants in Marbury Cheshire West and Chester North West

Stumbled upon this place on a wonderfully sunny bike ride in March. As a veggie it’s usually cake or nothing at most cafes, but this place did a proper good eggs and avocado on toast, top notch coffee and the lovely lady even wrapped my scone up so I could save it for my ride home. There is space outside - a nice little sun trap Will definitely be back again soon

Tomó mi caravana para A&E Ocio y tiempo tenía para matar. El personal nos recomendó este lugar para tomar un café. ¡Qué hallazgo! Es fantástico! Sólo tenía un bacon y huevos y un café, sandwichera, pero era precioso! Si todo el año y a probarlo. El personal es encantador y muy amable y acogedor. Incluso tome tarjetas para el plástico sólo clientes!

Friendly and caring hosts, lovely food very welcoming.

We went for a drink one time and vowed to return to try the menu. Last month it was was for a Sunday lunch. It was the better than any we’ve had anywhere else. So next time, we had the Out of Africa menu. Totally blown away. It’s more than just dining. And totally brilliant. Unique, friendly and good value. Recommended!

Came for lunch today after visiting last Thursday what a difference to our perfect first visit. Today the team members weren’t interested in the customers 3 of them stood talking at the bar everytime we want something no cutlery on table when our starters arrived so had to wait for them to bring it while food was sat In front of us. Starters were good no complaints but had to get up and ask for them to clear them as they were more interested in talking behind the bar. Mains not so good fish the batter was so dark and hard chips not hot and looked a funny colour. Ham egg and chips couldn’t eat it chips luke warm eggs over cooked ham very sweet. No check back carried out again when I got up to pay all 3 stood talking one then went to clear another young member did my bill didn’t ask was everything no good bye absolutely nothing from her left very dissatisfied after having a lovely visit last Thursday sorry won’t be returning.

It makes a real change to visit a traditional old fashioned thatched cottage pub that hasn't been taken over by a pub chain. This pub is well worth a visit if you're visiting Northwich or passing through. The food is delicious and is all home cooked dishes served by friendly staff. I would definately recommend visiting this lovely pub.

Uns gefällt das Ambiente aus den 70er Jahren. Wie eine Zeitkaplsel. Dazu die freundliche Bedienung. Gut für einen Boxenstopp.

Lovely atmosphere in a perfect location. The pub is located in the heart of the perfect Chesire villiage, opposite a Church and surrounded by old timber framed buildings. The pub also has possily the most impressive pub sign that I have ever seen. Inside you will find an "in character", rustic character that brings a smile to the face. The welcome was a warm one and the options at the bar mean't we stayed for a couple. There is an outside seating area that has wonderful views of the main street and a small car park. Be prepared to park down the hill, but its worth it!!.

Had a large doner kebab on naan bread. It was very tasty and certainly large. The guy who served me was friendly. Would recommend

Went with friends first time lovely meal.

Waited over 2 hours for the food to come not even warm and both burgers are oink inside!! Hate to chase the food up twice, they were not really bothered just said they were busy 😡
