Great pub for a post walk lunch. We had the lunch deal which was very reasonably priced and tasty. The service was friendly and quick.

An enjoyable experience. It dispels the pub food 'bag to plate' approach, the food was well cocked and served. A place i will visit again.

Staying in the area and called in for lunch, we had the 2 course cosy lunch, very good value for money. Portions were good and food was very tasty. Great service and friendly staff, will defo return if in the area.

Nice village pub. Plenty on the menu to choose from. We had the chicken BLT and fish finger sandwich and thick cut chips and a couple of drinks. Prompt service and friendly manner from staff. Food was hot and tasty. What's not to like?! 👍

Stayed over in a motor home as meeting friends. Lovely flat carpark in a beautiful village. Very friendly staff and lovely homemade food. My cheese and onion pie was delicious. Plus there was a small plates menu which was a good option 2 courses £15

Beautiful country pub! Was recommended to me and my Husband while out walking near by. Never been to the area before but will definitely be coming back. Polite lovely staff, great location. Gorgeous food! I had the homemade burger with skinny fries, best burger I've had in a while! Seasoned Beautifully (I'm a very fussy eater usually so if I say it was nice then it's worth a try haha) my Hubby had the lamb and said it was delicious. We were lucky enough to visit while the sun was shining so we sat in the gardens around the back. We were little worried that we may not of been as welcome as we were as we are not locals but the worries disappeared as soon as we entered:) Thank you very much, a lovely end to a lovely date with my Hubby (Which we don't do often) Definitely worth a visit.

Nice little pub in the middle of nowhere

First time here. Four of us for lunch and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent (3x lamb rump and 1x beef & ale pie). The bonus was a 30% discount in Feb ‘25 that we were unaware of until we arrived. Great stuff. Plenty of parking too.

It was ok. No pub games and rather full of tables. Staff rather miserable and unenthusiastic. Edit under new management, still no pub games, but staff are much better, food is better but menu is limited.

Brilliant, went after a walk nearby, accommodated us at short notice, 6 adults, two 5 year olds, two toddlers and 2 dogs 😁. Food excellent and the young front of house staff were friendly, polite and attentive. Thank you. Will certainly return.

Visited at lunchtime when it was quiet so not a lot of atmosphere but roaring fire great - cold outside. Had the lunch menu which was great value and really good food.

The quintessential english pub.....with fish finger sandwiches on white bread amongst other tasty treats. Log fire, Interesting and mouth-watering menus, good beers, great service ....I could go on. Highly recommended.

We attended for my brother's birthday meal, there were 10 of us 2 children and 8 adults ages range from 4years old to 81 years old. The service was prompt and efficient. Kyle did a fantastic job of ensuring we had our meals and had the table cleared All in all we had a great experience and will end coming back Thankyou!

We stopped over for lunch after a lovely walk in Marbury Country Park. Great food, cosy room with a fireplace, perfect for a chilly day. Plenty of parking spaces too.

Limited choice of GF food. Very disappointed. Been before and it was pretty good. Not this time.

Great value for money on lunch deal

4 of us went for dinner there, Log fire burning away, nice and warm. We all ate our 3 course meals and commented to each other how lovely it was.

Having celebrated Grandma's 90th birthday here. We can't express how brilliant the staff, food and organisation was at the Spinner. Nothing was too much for them. They served 18 of us with hot food, cold drinks and a few glasses of fizz all with a smile. Well done!

We've been visiting here every couple of months or so for a couple of years, usually on a weekend and with the dog. Never had a bad meal here! Their garlic mushrooms are particularly spectacular, but so are their mixed roasts, Moroccan chicken flatbreads and everything else we've tried.... Always a warm welcome and I'm told the beer selection is good too (I'm a Guinness girl).

First time here and it was a pleasure, from walking through the door and being greeted at the bar, through to the table service and wonderful tasty food. Great sitting by the wood fire on a cold Autumn evening. Would definitely recommend a visit to this charming, well staffed, proper village Pub. Thank you

Booked for 6 adults for family meal 3pm Sunday. Very slow with food and not that busy. 4 had Sunday roasts which were unusual in the fact that the meat was not in slices as we usually expect, but chicken portions, lamb leg chop and piece of steak for beef. I had sea bass which was extremely salty but we were all hungry so didn’t complain. I did tell the server who collected the plates about the fish and she just laughed! Puds were expensive but enjoyable. Dining room was quite chilly. Don’t think we will go again.

Food was amazing, a mistake by the chef ment my dinner was delivered a little later than expected, then I found a stone in a carrot. We were the last to dine in the restaurant and felt it, after our plates landed we didn't see another waiter. We had to go to the bar to get anyone's attention to pay. Shame, it's a lovely place, garden is great too.

10.09.2024. Had a truly wonderful time here last night catching up with my cousin after over 40 years. Great food, outstanding service and a lovely country pub atmosphere. Easy parking. 🐕 welcome.

Not bad, food nice, a little slow on the service.

We had a lovely stop over in the car park. The staff were excellent very friendly. Very dog friendly. We both had rib eye but mine was not very nice but the land lady was very apologetic and never changed us of my stake. Could not fault them at all we will definitely go back.

Lots of food choices including small portions, all lovely and fresh. Generous portions-the fish finger sandwich with salad was massive and delicious. Good selection of puds too. Lemon posit was excellent. Roomy restaurant, outside space, bar area for those with a dog. Staff lovely and professional too. Set in glorious Cheshire countryside.

I didn't order food as i stopped for a drink while walking with my friend, the draft drinks are all superb, and the staff are so friendly. All in all i felt extremely welcome and satisfied

A lovely independent pub with great outdoor seating. We entered to order drinks and grab a menu and the staff were so kind and attentive, bringing everything to our tables. Lovely food - highly recommend the fish & chips and pie of the day. Perfect place for some food or a drink after visiting Marbury Country Park.

Great little village pub. The beer garden is amazing. Great for children, lots of room to play also good for dogs. The staff are so friendly and make you feel welcome and looked after.

Simon and his team put on our wedding reception for us. Food and drink was fantastic and the service was exceptional - they couldn’t do enough to make sure everything ran smoothly, and we and all our guests had an absolutely brilliant time. Food lovely, staff lovely, glasses of wine extortionate sadly. Near enough £10 a glass. So be aware when ordering, it will rack up your bill significantly.

Great. Just stopped off randomly. Service was great. Food lovely. Kids enjoyed their own. Not cheap like a hungry horse, but well worth the money in my honest opinion. Loved the lamb with the smokey mash.

Been going for years but now poor food,starters,main and desert all not as good as used to be Disappointed ☹

We made a booking for Easter Sunday and were received well offered drinks and settled in to the menu. I chose the lamb roast dinner and my wife had the veggie nut roast. The food was served quickly and presented well. All around the flavour was great and the ingredients fresh. However, the one gripe both of us had was the portion was really small! Comparing to a standard any old Sunday roast posted on recent reviews for The Spinner & Bergamot, our plates were half the portion. Both of us left happy with the quality but resorted to a bag of crisps later in the evening!

Average Sunday roast. Yorkshire pudding was like soft cardboard. Kids burger is very small. Young staff that don’t know the menu and nothing about wine. Ate in restaurant that’s large space that lacks any cosy feel.

I visited the Spinner + Bergamot recently with friends for dinner and drinks. All the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful when I explained my dietary requirements. Our food arrived in good time and every meal was delicious, we opted for puddings too and they were equally as yummy. The outdoor area looked huge and very inviting for in the warmer months of the year. We all enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of the pub and i will definitely be returning with my children as it looked to be a very family friendly pub.

Unfortunately the food was cold. Im not sure if it was because thr roast platter was served on a wooden slab or what but the portion was also small for 2 people. Wouldn't recommend

Here for a birthday party. Great place food very nice. Staff very nice and friendly. On the down side nit very comfortable the seats and chairs are way past it need to be changed or refurbished... went home with a sore back..

Took the family (4 of us) for a Christmas meal a few days ago. We didn't expect fine dining, but at the same time we weren't expecting the atrocious food that was served up. The prawn cocktail starter contained about 3 prawns, a couple of wilted lettuce leaves and hardly any sauce, but the worst was yet to come; the main meal consisted of Turkey (3 slices of dry meat), pigs in blankets (one single piece of burnt sausage), sprouts (2 sprouts each), cauliflower cheese (one floret of cauliflower with no cheese sauce), stuffing (a single ball, overcooked and rock hard) and gravy which was as thin as water. I wouldn't normally write a bad review but this should have been a special occasion and needless to say we won't be visiting again anytime soon.

We came here for Christmas Eve dinner and it was a pleasant experience. The food was quite nice, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was good. I would say that the main dining room could do with a little more light, however, the experience and value for money overall was really good.

Staff rushed to give us drinks. Nearly an hour later we had to ask for someone to take our food order which finally arrived about 45 mins later. Food wasn't the best & the prices were on the high side. Doesn't justify the 10% service charge they put on top too. Wouldn't recommend or go back, there are a lot better places out there.

The good was delicious and the staff very friendly. However, I had a half portion and kids portion for my 3 year old grandson and it was just under £30. A bit much for a pop in to get him something to eat.

Very welcoming, staff friendly, helpful, food lovely, and cooked well. I can recommend the fish and chips with minted mushy peas, no soggy batter! Will be back this time with our dog as they have a dog friendly section.

Really good service, excellent choice of food. We were presented with a comimentary glass of prosecco when they found out it was our wedding anniversary. Would certainly recommend. A word of warning , the sweets are delicious but are killers.
