Went last night ten out ten for service and food george

A great place for a family dinner. We dined in the conservatory and the kids took advantage of the play area in the garden. Food was good and the service was great. We also had our two labradors with us.

Sat outside to eat. Meal was excellent, the grandchildren ate all of their food which was a change. Very nice man served behind the counter taking orders and was helpful with picky eaters. Big play area for children but could do with big children swings. Overall would go there again.

From entering the premises and getting shown to our seat the service was great ,the food being a Sunday we got the platter for 2 and so much meat had to ask for a doggy bag to take home for the dog . 5 star service would visit again soon

Went out for lunch was ok nothing special

Lovely place, nice people, ok beer, bad food. Just ordered the steak and ale pie with mash, kids had fish and chips and wife had a chicken burger. Standard pub fare just done badly. Pie was poor quality meat and the mash was dry as could be. A bucket of gravy couldn’t moisten it. Terrible. Served with undercooked broccoli a really disappointment. Kids ate their fish and chips but little bit sick after. Wife’s chicken burger was as dry as the mash. Just a shame, lovely place but needs to sack the chef and start again. To be honest tried a few pubs in Chester and had the same experience. Only the fish pool has been of any quality but that was booked up.

Casual call in on way home, called in by chance 4 a meal, looked very busy when looking at car park spaces, went in didn't look like many tables for 2 people, but fair play they said if we didn't mind sitting on a six seated table we were welcome. Meal was great 👍🏻 found out after enquiring my old schoolmate from the early 70's son was running it. will be back 😉

Great food although we got cod instead of the ordered scampi, but it tasted good. Service was a tad slow even though it wasn't busy and the ladies toilet had an issue, so there was a que to use.

Enjoyed an excellent meal with two friends on Friday 26th July. I liked the light. airy atmosphere in the restaurant. Tables nicely spaced feeling very comfortable. Waitress very attentive and looked after us well

Lovely place food was decent we had the Sunday roast platter it was abit shy on the pigs in blankets ans parsnips litterly got 2 and foe some strange reason we couldn't sit on the tables outside on the grass for food we had to sit on the patio which wasent very big and the tables also were smaller so that was abit silly really the menu is quite pricey but overall I would say go try it out

Food is fantastic, good range of drinks, but the service is really slow. I don’t want fast food, but we were here 3 hours for one course. I don’t want you to think this is a bad place and I wouldn’t return, I just wish the service was a little quicker. It’s well worth a visit as like I said the food is fantastic, just make sure you allow enough time

I'm not usually one to complain but in this instance it's completely justifiable. Possibly the worst food in a long time. I ordered the Three cheese and onion pie which was luke warm and tasteless at best along with appalling chips and what there was of them. My partner's order of "Roast ciabatta of the day" came on brown bed which was as equally as poor........ since when did ciabatta become a choice of white or brown bread ?? Isn't it strange when you put an order in and you just know it's going to come back wrong !! We'll certainly be giving that place a wide berth in the future.

Great food and the staff were lovely if not very very busy. Waited over 45 minutes to order; we were given a discount as an apology. It was Sunday lunch tho, so I guess you have to accept that there could be a long wait. Nevertheless I would recommend and will go again.

Good food, interesting menu, lovely pub and ambience, quite busy which is always a good sign, friendly and efficient service. Recommended.

Had the Sunday Roast Share platter holy moly what a meal!! Served quick, piping hot and delicious. Mountains of food to share and each mouthful a delight, stuffed ourselves to bursting and even though we couldnt possibly fit another bite, still wanted to finish as it tasted so good!

I felt insulted my the Management because they refused to sell a beer to accompany our meal to my 17 year old sons. It is is both legal and totally normal to allow the sale of alcohol for consumption by over 16s, to accompany a meal. The manager acknowledged this but said that she was using her own discretion to refuse service. The restaurant was not busy. We had driven up from Sussex for the previous 5 hours. We had not consumed any alcohol prior to visiting the Stamford Bridge. I have been going to the Stamford Bridge for 30+ years. There was no good reason to use their discretion to refuse service. They handled this poorly and made me feel insulted.

Pleasantly surprised by the Stamford Bridge Inn. Service was excellent and food fair value.

We had the Chicken wrapped in Serrano Ham. It was ok but the potatoes should have been sautéed and they were just new potatoes cut in half with a bit of wilted spinach on the top. Not presented very well and overall the food was not hot enough.

Food was nice, but would of been much better if It was hot.

First time coming here, as a date night before our baby arrives! Had such a lovely meal, staff were fantastic, food was beautiful, fully enjoyed it, the whole way home we both kept saying what beautiful homemade food we had, and how nice it was to be able to sit in a calm environment after a meal, 100% will be back when we've had our baby!

Loved going here today. Amazing food. Bar staff was amazing only been there a couple of weeks.

Friendly service however very slow, waited 45 minutes for main meals to arrive. Lunch time menu portions very small. Gluton free allegens not taken very seriously. 2h 50 minute visit from entering to leaving.

The staff were so accommodating and the team seemed to work really well together so our drinks and food orders were taken promptly, our food was all served together at the same time, and our plates cleared, at the right moments. No one seemed frazzled or stressed, they were all polite and those who served us had impeccable manners when interacting with my guests. The food was excellent and fresh. We all enjoyed selecting off the menu and felt there was good selection. The setting is lovely and there was plenty of space between tables which added to the experience making it feel relaxed and welcoming, and our dining comfort enhanced. My previous experience of Sunday lunchtimes beforehand in many other venues were: cramped, over busy, hectic, stressy staff, food delays, slow drinks service, not very good value for money... but this visit was the exact opposite. I will be returning for sure! My one criticism is that if you're Vegan there's not a huge selection, and soy milk was the only plant milk, but what I was served was delicious!

Lunchtime for a haddock ciabata sandwich. Very nice, lovely hot fish well drained crunchy batter. The beer excellent. Would recommend and use again if in the area. Staff friendly and very helpful.

Totally recommend this place. Planning next visit already. Exceptionally nice serviettes! Whilst other places are handing out tissue thin 6square inch excuses for a serviette, The Stamford Bridge delights with an almost linenesq quality number! Much appreciated! 😊

Staff were friendly but management a bit mean. Didn't think it right to mix the dregs of from a nearly empty liquor bottle with a newly opened one. Food was okay but don't think we'll be returning.

Never fails just one or is my favourite places to eat and my daughters and partners

Loved it! Food was wonderful. Didn't have a starter. Mains were very tasty, well presented, plentiful and good value. Desserts were just as good but we had the coffee and dessert which were large and more than I expected. Will definitely go back soon! Loved it

Visited for the first time at the beginning of December. Good menu selection. Friendly staff. I opted for the black pudding bon bon to start, they where a bit dry and bland. For my main I had the 3 cheese pie which was very nice. So basically typical pub food with a posher twist which I think made the prices higher?

Went for Xmas eve. Had the Xmas dinner. Got to say, it was a lot better than a lot of the more expensive pubs we go to for a sunday roast. Top marks guys.

Another great visit,food excellent as was the service,only slight problem was no Christmas deal menu on Sunday so you have to order the dinner separately which costs more .Busy place , carpark was full at 17.30 ,there is an overflow carpark at the end of the normal one.Seated straight away,service was excellent,food was excellent, average price for a restaurant , we all had the Sunday roast and could not fault it

Great menu really enjoyed the game casserole. Great selection of drinks. Friendly staff and not rushed to order our meals. Highly recommended and we will certainly return. We were pleasantly surprised with our bill which included our drinks tab.

One of our favourite places to eat as a family! A great choice of menu for adults and children, lovely staff and pub, the outside play area is fantastic too. Recently visited at my son's request for his 6th birthday and the staff were brilliant with him and brought his special dessert out and sang happy birthday.

Called in for something to eat while out Xmas shopping 🛍️ lovely place to eat it’s very popular and dog friendly which is why we went! My dog is part of my family and is important (she is like an assistance dog.)

Firstly, the service was excellent. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and friendly. We were a party of 12 with mixed age groups for lunch on 02.12.23. Most meals were lovely and soup of the day was spot on. Two dishes were a little below par. The belly pork sharing platter option was not great. My chicken, leek.and cheddar cheese pie was tasty but unfortunately lacked chicken with 3 average pieces identifiable, which was a shame. We would return on the balance that most dishes were of good quality. I am not sure how the lack of chicken can be addressed per pie but the chef must see what goes into each dish and be satisfied with the portion quantity re ingredients if made fresh on the premises? Thank you. Edit after comment from.pub. Appreciate the feedback but would be interesting to know if the pies were made on the premises as this point was not addressed within Holly's response. That would certainly assist with the chicken quota.

Called in without a reservation on a Friday afternoon,place was very busy but we were found a table ,we did eventually get a member of staffs attention and placed our order. The meals were served in good time and the three of us all agreed that the food was excellent..the atmosphere was vibrant and friendly. We can definitely recommend the Stamford Bridge.

Excellent food but not cheap. Friendly, efficient servers. Although there were a couple of fires lit it felt pretty chilly inside. Go there when you're feeling hungry, good portions. Thank you

I had the vegan sausage and barlotti bean casserole..... The best vegetarian meal I've had out in years... Which is a huge compliment to the chef 👏😋tasty, delicious, presentation 👌and filling, wouldnt change anything with it. Definitely be back to have it again. My friend had the pork and leek sausage and mash, presentation was 👌he said it was delicious and tasty. My husband and wife of my friend had the steak and ale pie, unfortunately they were very disappointed with it, my husband had 3 small pieces of meat and my friend had 2, the rest of the pie was filled out with veg and the gravy in the pie was runny. They said it was tasty enough. More meat and no chopped veg with a thicker gravy is needed for it to be classed as beef and ale pie. Service was excellent, wine delicious.

Regularly visit the Stamford Bridge, usually as a party of six. Quite often have six different meals and have never had to complain about any. The staff are very friendly and the service is excellent.

Me and my family (6 Adults) were on holiday at Delamere Forest and we came here for a meal for our last night of our holiday. It was absolutely beautiful and it was fantastic value for money! Couldn't recommend enough! 👌👍

We’ve been to the Stamford Bridge many times and always had a good meal; however today the meal was exceptional! We were a party of 5, each having different dishes. All our dishes were fantastic. The Christmas lunch was not only a reasonable price but also more importantly, it was one of the best Christmas lunches we’ve had. Thank you team Stamford Bridge xx😋🧡

We booked for an early 12:30 lunch every course we chose had something they had run out of. Two of the group had the meat pie which was tasteless and spoilt a celebration. One of the group decided to have sticky toffee pudding from the main menu, not the fixed menu, but when is arrived it was sticky toffee sundaa from the fixed menu. The whole meal took 3 and a half hours with 30 minute gaps between every course The bar man was particularly helpful thank you, to him. We did complain. They did deduct two meals and two desserts from the Bill. But really no recompense for spoiling a celebration meal After going here for years we will not be returning The soup was delicious. The seafood platter was very good but difficult to enjoy when two the party had such an awful time

Visited with my mum on Friday afternoon, was greeted straight away by a lovely manager who showed us to our table. The service was fantastic and quick. The food arrived quickly and tasted lovely, couldn’t fault it. The manager was keen to make conversation and took great interest in the customers. We will definitely be visiting again!!

Food fantastic, after being unsure as there are only a couple of vegan options, the whipped feta style sandwich was gorgeous. The staff were very friendly and helpful, helping to adjust a child's meal to suit my son. Playground is great and a nice end to the meal for my little one to play. Have always had good food and great service and will be back.

An excellent pub/ restaurant... great food and drink, all at fair prices. Clean and airy. Super staff and a very large car park. Highly recommended.

Went for my Julies mam's 70th birthday 🥳🎂 party 🥳🎉 must say that the meal i had was absolutely gorgeous my steak 🥩 was done to my liking and every body else enjoyed there skan so all good 👍 the staff where friendly also
