This place took our booking on line arrived last night to find it locked up, If this company open anywhere near Chester DO NOT TRusT THem !!!

I really liked the place, very nice and the service was impeccable, the dish I ate was delicious, but I was left with little taste. There was little variety of pasta, none filled, which are my favorites.

Enjoyed a stunning meal here (prawn linguine). Classic, clear flavors beautifully combined and presented in a gorgeous restaurant setting.

Lovely place to eat, food was fantastic and very reasonably priced too. Had a great family meal on Christmas Eve, we loved it.

Lovely location. Renowned as being so. Great service . Lovely varied menu . Fair price . Thoroughly enjoyable . The restaurant was full. I would definitely book in advance . I can wholeheartedly recommend Et Alia. 👍

The food, both choice and quality is outstanding. The staff are very welcoming, also very accommodating. Lastly the restaurant itself is superb, overlooking the Dee, try and get there for a sunset!

The views of the river are unreal from the balcony outside. Always a great place to have a quick drink, and the food is top notch ! A little hot inside when it’s good weather though, so I’d recommend asking to be seated downstairs. The parking isn’t great, so if you think it’s going to be busy, go early!

Excellent 18th birthday meal with my family.

I don't normally write reviews. However, this restaurant needs so much recognition. The moment you step into this beautiful restaurant it was perfect. Staff are sophisticated, knowledgeable of the dishes and look after you above and beyond. The food, I've never had perfectly cooked calamari. Food was fast, efficient, well presented, and of course delicious. I will be definitely coming here again as well as recommending this to everyone.

Great atmosphere and an amazing location enhanced my visit. Excellent, non-intrusive service of delicious food. Today was my fourth visit and the high standard has been maintained.

The best paddleboarding spot! We paddled from Eccleston to the restaurant and left the paddleboards on the lawn whilst eating dinner, very safe and secure and a gorgeous location. The staff were brilliant and very professional and didn't mind us being a tad soggy! The food was really good value and tasted amazing - we highly recommend the pizzas. Only downside was we weren't allowed to eat on their outside balcony in the sunshine, but I know this would mean a lot more pressure on the staff. Overall a lovely evening spot for paddleboarders and diners alike!

Such a shame it is closing down!

One of the top eating places in Chester. Great quality Italian cuisine, excellent service, superb location right on the Dee overlooking the city. Such a shame that it's probably going to end up in the hands of greedy developers. For me it's one of my very favourite places to eat and it'll be a crime when it's gone! A great community asset to end up in the hands of a handful of people well off enough to be able to live in luxury private accommodation. Tragic! 😥

Our new 'go to' in Chester for Italian food and now my wife's favourite place! Really enjoyed the great food, service and atmosphere, including a view of the river and garden area. Will definitely return.

We went paddleboarding and saw it was water friendly. We were in our wetsuits and was able to sit outside and have something to eat and drink. Lovely atmosphere and lovely food.

Excellent in every way! A favourite of mine for many years, it's historic too! It is a travesty and a tragedy that this amazing restaurant with unsurpassed views in Chester is being allowed to be demolished in favour of apartments! The Councillors need to be taken to task as this is totally unique in Chester and has been there since the 1850's at least. Utter shame on the Councillors responsible for this misdemeanour! Disgusted of Chester.

Excellent restaurant in a great location with brilliant staff and management. Fantastic riverside location, looking over the river towards the beautiful city of Chester. The menu is typically Italian, with a good choice of pasta, pizza, meat, seafood and fish dishes. The afternoon tea is highly recommended. Gets very busy so book to avoid disappointment.

Had a lovely meal in beautiful surroundings. Views from the restaurant across the Dee are fantastic. After the meal, we took our coffees onto the outdoor terrace and basked in the warm sunshine. A perfect birthday lunch.

It was my first visit. Delicious food, Exceptional service. You can have a drink outside and enjoy the beautiful viewes and singing birds.

Absolutely gorgeous restaurant to dine with your loved ones. Huge windows looking out to the river and beyond.. We watched the sun set and enjoyed the view on the horizon as the sky turned red. Food and service were excellent. So glad to have dined here and will be back again.

Delicious food & half price Wednesday & Thursday

A group of 11 went one Thursday lunchtime. From the road the Restaurant does not look anything special. Inside is completely spectacular. You walk in to the upper floor. As the place is on the side of a banking going down to the river Dee the lower floor opens onto gardens. There is a huge double height window allowing spectacular views over the Dee

Just had a catch up lunch with the girls. Perfect location for us, wonderful river views, excellent attentive but not fussy service, good value and very tasty well presented food. Cocktails and mocktails rounded the afternoon off perfectly but we still had food envy watching the afternoon tea come out… maybe that’s next time….

Just lovely. Food fantastic, atmosphere and service too. Would definitely recommend. One criticism I would have is that it was very hot in there (we had just walked in the cold and rain to get there though). We will be back.

Situated in a smart new building with a great view over the river. Good food but service rather slow. We had another lovely meal recently and the service was much better.

Absolutely lovely. Managed to book in straight away as we were driving from Wales. Place looks impressive from the outside. Food was absolutely spot on, service fantastic and very attentive. I asked if an item could be changed for me, which they were quite happy to oblige. Would definitely recommend.

It's a lovely place with beautiful views, the food is good too! It's a pity they've sold it to the rich to turn it into luxury apartments.

Good Italian food in a very nice setting overlooking the river. They offer a great discount if you go in the week too.

Everyone should experience this restaurant it's wonderful little gem .

A great location especially in the summer where views of the river and meadows make a great backdrop. Menu has something for everyone and nice portion sizes leave you satisfied. Wednesday is a very busy time with 50% off pizza, pasta and mains. Nice wine selection without the sting that some places charge. Staff very attentive without being overbearing. Very friendly from entering to leaving. Booking is advised especially Wednesday's

Beautiful location and environment but I found the food very salty and didn't enjoy it much.

Loved it here. Couldnt decide between pizza or pasta, so I guess that means I have to go back. And the view 😍just look at that sunset.

Lovely and clean family friendly venue with friendly staff. The pizzas were delicious with the best pizza bases in Chester! The kids enjoyed the pasta dishes and the ice cream desserts. Limited vegetarian options on the menu (hence 4 stars) but otherwise everyone enjoyed their food.

Lovely ambience and pizza was amazing. Only drawback there's not much car parking space at the site

Great food in an excellent location, slightly let down by long waiting time even when it wasn't busy. Well worth it though for the food.

Food was ok not as nice as year before but the service was shocking waited over 25 mins to be asked if we would like a drink got put in a corner away felt like it was because we weren’t from around there won’t be going again it used to be really nice I assume new owners don’t know what there doing

Lovely place to eat but unfortunately the standard of the food fell extremely short of the quality expected. Very bland from starter and main course. Maybe worth visiting only on a weds when 50% discount as price doesn’t dictate the quality. Very disappointed and would not visit again.

The restaurant is is located right on a meander of the river Dee, a very nice location. Split level dinning, with glass panels to take advantage of the views. Entrance right on the road, with limited parking. We visited on a Saturday at 12:30, at this time it wasn't too busy, and staff were polite, service good. We enjoyed a simple vegetarian pizza with salad. Good quality, with all vegetables cooked just right. Coffee good, at at right temperature

Nice little quaint place. Lovely food but took a while to come. Place seemed busy with not enough staff in my opinion. On the whole nice atmosphere, nice food. A good place to eat.
