Went in for lunch today to support Jayden and Scott from Tapa who have just taken over. It didn’t disappoint. The food and coffee were both delicious, homemade soup piping hot and tuna toastie totally delicious with a kick. Good. Luck on your new venture, the village is so lucky to have this brilliant little cafe.

Fantastic evening here at Kira! Food was delicious and loved all the unique flavour combinations of the taste of Kira experience! Would highly recommend you book a table here and enjoy the great atmosphere and service! It’s good to get out in the week and support these amazing places on our doorstep! Thank you Kira for a great night out 😀

Not exactly on a major thoroughfare so you wouldn’t necessarily come across this little gem in Bollington. Were only serving takeaways when we visited, but will definitely be back when the government’s restrictions allow. They also sell food ingredients for far eastern cuisine here which, having been recommended by a friend, originally prompted our visit.

I have visited this café on a number of occasions & always had great food / service. However, I visited last Saturday morning & left feeling extremely disappointed. During this visit the food was lovely, but the quality of a certain staff member left a lot to be desired. The member of staff struggled to follow instructions. On two occasions I asked for certain things regarding our food order & on two occasions she either ignored or forgot both things. We also purchased some of the Victoria sponge cake to takeaway. When we went to eat the cake once we got home, we found the cake to extremely dry & there was also baking paper in the middle of the sponge. It is a massive disappointment to be writing this review as this was one of my favourite little cafes.

A good location next to the main roads and 30 mins from Manchester. The premier inns are pretty standard you know what you're getting. The staff in the Beefeater next door were great. Brilliant customer service 👏

The garlic bread was ok. The two mains were inedible and not eaten. We think the cream used on the risotto and carbonara was off. Absolutely tasteless and minging. Probably the worst meal we have had in a restaurant. Not a good way to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Seriously wish we had gone elsewhere!!! Never again.

An absolutely appalling Sunday lunch. Staff in hotel reception were too busy chatting to direct us to the restaurant. On entering the restaurant there was no one to book us in, A staff member at the bar continued a casual conversation without acknowledging us. 5 minutes later took us to a table. The vegetarian item was different to the advertised item with our Wowcher deal menu. We ordered and after waiting some time but the starters didn't arrive, instead our main course arrived, we had not had our starter! An afternoon tea also arrived, but was not our order! The main course went back to the kitchen and given the assurance that we would have a completely fresh meal cooked. The server gave the excuse that the 'chef' had his mind on the wedding reception they were also catering for. Our starters were eaten and upon taking away the dirty plates we were asked if we would like to see the dessert menu! (We had not had our main courses). Our main courses arrived but bypassed us to head to a different table, eventually arriving at our table. It was as predicted, very much on the cool side. The image we had seen on Hollin Hall's website was nothing like the meal we were served. The Yorkshire Pudding was small, completely unrisen and undercooked. No stuffing was served with the chicken. The vegetables chopped into small rubbery chunks of carrots, parsnips and onion were rubbery and overcooked. All the food was lukewarm. No checkback was made during the meal. As the plates were cleared we were asked if the meal was OK, but had to be honest and report it was the worst Sunday lunch we had ever eaten. The server apologised saying they were short staffed as they had a wedding on! As we got up to leave no one came to offer the bill or take our voucher, so we had to leave it on their reception desk. No one bid us goodbye or thanked us for our custom. We felt very undervalued. I suggest on such occasions they should not even attempt to serve what they advertise as a Sunday Lunch when they are catering for weddings. Without a doubt we will NOT be returning for any reason. Avoid at all costs.
