The Cock and Pheasant in Cheshire East

We booked a 50th party at the Cock & Pheasant a few months ago and the service we have received right from our initial enquiry has been excellent. The communication from the start to arriving on the day of the party was great. It was made very clear to us what we needed to do with regard to ordering the buffet and when we had to confirm our menu order etc. The buffet was amazing & lots of people commented on how nice it was. Big thanks to the whole team, we had a really great night. In particular, our thanks goes to Miguel, Laila, Tyler & Ella-May who all looked after us really well on the night & made sure things went smoothly.

Excellent meal, been twice in 3 days as the food was so good. Large portions, something for everyone. Nice varied menu especially for gluten free. Love the idea of mini desert with coffee too! Special thanks to the servers (Miguel, Laila and Tyler) who couldn't do enough for us!

Very friendly, efficient staff. Food very tasty with good choices for those with coeliac (and other problems...). Plenty on the plates too. Would recommend for other visitors to the area, like ourselves. 👌 Dog friendly as well.

Really friendly service, and the food was far better than I expected. The falafel starter was excellent. Well presented and very tasty. Good drinks menu, but the alcohol free drinks are quite expensive. Will be back!

Lovely pub great food and helpful staff

We enjoyed a great meal served by Miguel and his team who were very welcoming and attentive. The two of us chose a main from the menu, Buttermilk Chicken burger with skin on fries and the Bacon Chop, pineapple, egg and triple cooked chips. Both meals were great portion size, presented well, cooked perfectly and tasted amazing!! An added bonus was the interactive quiz that followed. Fantastic Wednesday night out.

Bit of a disappointment this time round. We visit The Cock and Pheasant twice a year when we stay at our camping site. It is not the most local eating place but we have always looked forward to and enjoyed our visits. We ordered food and it arrived very quickly. I could not fault the meals at all. The disappointment was that no-one checked on us whilst we were eating. We were the only couple in the dining room. Both my husband and I would have liked to order another drink. No-one came until we had finished our meal. Then we decided to order some ice-cream. We waited fifteen minutes for it to arrive and then gave up and went to pay. I know they are busy but customer service comes first. We may not visit again in September and try somewhere nearer to our camp site.

Very disappointed with the service from the staff tonight they were rude and disrespectful we booked for a 19th birthday meal and refused our id saying it was FAKE and then took the id and scrutinise it for 20 minutes that was humiliating for us all. We will never return due to the rudeness of the staff we went to the ryles arms that actually appreciate there customers

Lovely rustic pub and such a friendly vibe from all staff and happy to have a laugh and joke with you. Pint of Estrella was perfectly poured and cocktail was super. Would be great if they had a larger selection. Tried hoisin and duck pizza and though it was lovely, was slightly overpriced and garlic bread should be a larger portion. Tirmaisu was beautiful as well. Overall a lovely experience and felt very welcomed. Kudos to the staff 👏

My wife and I called in after visiting our son for a spot of lunch. As we entered from the car park the smell from the toilet was pungent and unpleasant. Whilst nearly every table was laid out for dining we were found a table next to the window at the front available for walk ins. The waitress was pleasant and offered helpful suggestions as we weren’t sure what we wanted. I chose the Beef Brisket sandwich and my wife ordered the Eton Mess. I also ordered a Mocha to drink. The Mocha was lukewarm when it arrived and had to be drank immediately. In fairness the waitress did ask if we wanted everything brought together. I couldn’t make my mind up if the bread used in the beef brisket sandwich had been lightly toasted. It was served with an egg cup size receptacle of gravy and a larger portion of clearly frozen skin on fries. The Eton Mess was acceptable and enjoyed by my wife. Everything else I ate that day, was hand prepared and fresh. Which is why I cannot understand what happened some nine hours of visiting the Cock and Pheasant: relentless diarrhoea and vomiting for more than 24 hours, I am only just now able to pen this review. I cannot say with any certainty what the cause was. The reason for two stars apart from my suspicion is that the pub was dirty and I would not return.

After a trip to the local area, we stopped off for lunch at this pub. The welcome we received was lovely and friendly, and the food was amazing. The man behind the bar was super helpful. Will definitely return when back in the area.

Come regularly. The atmosphere is so cosy we can’t help but come back. The new menu is AMAZING with a wide array of vegetarian dishes added, perfect for myself!

Lovely falafel and trio of Sunday roasts

Standard meals fantastic. But also ordered a vegan meal as 1 guest was lactose intolerant and the meal was changed in the kitchen without the server knowing and the meal that came was covered in cheese. When this was raised with the staff the meal was taken away and another one was brought without any cheese on it. The meal that was brought to the table was not ever on the menu so this was also not eaten, as we couldn’t verify the ingredients.

very average sunday lunch and i doubt very much this was prepared fresh from scratch. little point in complaining at the time as i had decided i will not be returning as i have experienced a lot better than this elsewhere.

One of our favourite restaurants the Carl and his team are charming and we've been going there for years. The food is always freshly cooked and served pipping hot

Excellent Sunday lunch today. Served by Tyler who was lovely. The food was the best roast we’ve had in a long time - best in town I’d say. The lamb was cooked to perfection (we got the last 3) & chocolate orange dome dessert was fantastic. Great food, beautifully presented & top quality- thank you. The ‘roast’ photo is before the fresh veg arrived, the stuffing, pigs in blankets, cauli cheese & lashings of tasty gravy.

Enjoyed our first visit to Cock and Pheasant today. The carpark has two entrances and plenty of spaces. Wide range of food on the menu with vegan and vegetarian options. Lunchtime meal options and snacks also available. Staff were attentive and very helpful regarding our allergy enquiries. Our meals were hot, well cooked and well presented. Very cosy and well furnished with a friendly atmosphere. Dogs were made welcome.

Miguel was extremely tentative and ensured my allergies were noted. The food was first class Only downside was we sat on a table in conservatory with my ESA dog and the cold draught from smokers everyone they opened door to garden.

Our group of 30 men from a local golf club enjoyed excellent food and well organised service. Very good varied menu and the food was hot tasty and plentiful.

31 senior golfers had their Christmas lunch here, the food, Service, Staff were all excellent. I would recommend any selection from their menu, everyone couldn't praise the pub enough.

We had the festive menu, and everyone in our group of 6 enjoyed the food. Amelia who looked after us was lovely aware of food intolerances and made sure I understood what I could eat. Happy go again

Came for a Xmas lunch with girl friends & had a fabulous time. Atmosphere nice & festive, my main course was the sea bass which was absolutely delicious! Amelia, our waitress, was helpful, smiley & attentive. Also liked the opportunity to add a donation to our bill to feed a homeless person at Xmas.

Booked reception following family service at nearby St Oswalds. The staff, Miquel, Tyler and Laila made sure everything was perfect and went above and beyond to look after all the guests. We visited for my dad’s birthday with a large group. The food was tasty and ambience perfect as they gave us room in a snug. What makes the Cock and Pheasant really excellent are the friendly, attentive staff. They couldn’t do enough for us. 5 stars.

Haven't been for food here before and was pleased to add another family option to our going out list in Boll. Was a quiet Monday night but very friendly and welcoming. Waiter was really attentive, especially to my daughter's allergy needs. Food was really good. Will def go again

I brought my girlfriend for her birthday meal. When I called to book a table I spoke to the manager Miguel who was extremely helpful and accommodating. I asked if it would be possible to have flowers waiting on the table when we arrived. He got me a beautiful bunch out of his own money in a vase and everything. He also suggested I change the time of my reservation to coincide with a live artist who did a shout out to my girlfriend wishing her a happy birthday. The restaurant itself has a great, old English style atmosphere. The food was amazing (we got mains and a dessert plus a few drinks) and a wide selection of drinks available. It's disabled access, friendly staff, great location. We had a great time

Great meal here with friendly staff providing excellent service. Desserts are a standout. Def recommend and we'll be back again.

Had lunch with my friend, Tyler the waiter was very friendly couldn't do enough for us, my friend is allergic to oranges he went above and beyond to ensure none of the food had orange in or been near oranges, food was lovely.

Selected this pub in the area we were visiting to have a relaxed meal after a very momentous and eventful day. Tyler was the perfect host, very professional, efficient and pleasant. He seemed to be entirely on our wavelength at all times and very discretely did all he could to make our stay pleasant and at the same time intimate and relaxing. Food was excellent as well and we can certainly fully commend the hospitality. We fully recommend this venue and ..:?see for yourself. Was looking for some food in the late evening and rang the pub. They were extremely accommodating and managed to get our order of starters, mains and deserts in before the kitchen closed, while giving us table service for our drinks. Incredibly friendly and helpful - a lovely visit.

Lovely Sunday roast, staff was welcoming and polite especially Anna and Miguel. Perfect spot for a chill and wine.

I noticed on the map that the delivery driver did a few deliveries before ours so the food was cold on arrival.

We noticed this Pub on our journey heading to our hotel feeling hungry the name stood out so we pulled in to the back car park with lots of space an outdoor area for thous who smoke or a sunny position to sit. We were welcomed with a smile from Miguel and Tyler offering us a place to sit within. We explained we would like to see the menu to eat so Tyler offered us a table by the window in the restaurant. A lovely vibe to the pub and beautiful fire surround. Tyler told us of the special available and then took our order to eat. My husband and I chose the special chicken and leek pie with vegables. Oh my god beautiful dish large portion with mash and spring onions roasted carrots cabbage and broccoli. We enjoyed very much all washed down with a pint of Ginuess. We highly recommend this pub the service the food. I don't often write on trip advisor whilst away but credit were it's due. Glad we found this gem of a pub. If we pass through this way again then we will differently pop in. Thankyou Tyler and Miguel.

Stopped off for lunch on visit to Bollington. Really nice pub with lively food.

Although the restaurant was extremely busy we had a fantastic visit. The food was amazing and Miguel & Laila who served us were really helpful, friendly and attentive.

Absolutely gorgeous meal. Miguel and Tyla made our visit so welcoming, they couldn't do enough for us. Friendly and warm atmosphere and lovely pub. I had the sirloin steak and tried spring onion mash instead of the chips (which was no trouble to change) as I'd never tried it before and it was delicious!. My partner had the hunters chicken which he really enjoyed, with a well kept cask ale. Would definitely recommend this place, and hope to call in again.

We always enjoy going to vintage inns and have visited many but this one is very disappointing not clean or welcoming no service whatsoever even though there was only one other customer dinning and two having drinks. We paid and used our share holder discount and then spoke to the waitress to no avail. Perhaps you should send them all to the Talbot in Biddulph everyone there is wonderful.

Great service with quality food, Having suffered from ibs for years i tend to find it difficult to find things can eat but no such issues here as they are more than happy to adapt the dish either where possible removing the onion or garlic in my case or simple suggesting an alternate that would work or could be made to work. Great atmosphere in this recently extended pub/restaurant which i will be visiting again the the not to distant.

All delivered hot and well packaged. Very tasty. Only reason it wasn’t a 5 star review, the very small mash portion and small pot of gravy. Will order again.

Not been here for a while. Had the chicken, bacon & avocado salad which was perfect and plenty of it too. The steak sandwich was also very good. Nice wine and wainwright beer. Lovely service by Jack. All together a lovely experience. We will most definitely be back very soon. Thank you

As a biker I cannot give it five stars as I remember the place as it was - however the place, staff and buffet was excellent- and could not do enough. This was a private booking and was great. Good luck as a Gin Distillery and shop.

Great food, in a lovely location with plenty of parking. Includes an outdoor play park for small children You can sit outside and order via the QR code without the need to create an account.

We had a family meal here. Was our first time in here but from the time we sat down to the time we left we were very welcomed and the food were excellent. We had Hannah and she was brilliant and very attentive

Three of us had roast lamb, it was very tough and couldn't eat most it , I sent it back as it was too pink / bloody and it was still uneatable when they brought it back . The kids food wasn't very good either On the plus side service was great and atmosphere was good, id go back but only for a drink . The food needs a lot of improving.
