The best restaurants in Stanwix Rural Carlisle North West

Six of us had our annual golf and Christmas lunch. First class service from the staff and the two chefs provided an excellent three course festive menu. Fantastic high quality food.

We learnt of Big Pizza Pies via facebook, and my partner and I have been fans ever since. Beautiful hand made pizzas cooked in front of you in a wood fire, they are to die for! While I'm a simple margherita fan, my partner loves the different specials they have on every week, especially the cumberland sausage ones.

Lovely refurbished restaurant after floods. Most enjoyable crayfish tail and smoked salmon salad. Table overlooked pond with moorhens. Very friendly staff and varied menu including light bites to full lunch. Worth a visit.

Excellent food 1st class the home cooked ham is delicous and the pancakes are to die for lovely decor and nice atmosphere owner Martin is lovely very involved in customer service and customer care and is very customer orientated definitely a place to go will certainly be a regular visitor

Brilliant place. Staff very professional and friendly and efficient. Food was first class. Wonderful surroundings.

Lovely lunch here yesterday. The menu was good & the food was delicious. Our server (Emily) was friendly & everything was great. We highly recommend this place

We visited for lunch, we both had paninis which were ok. We ordered a cappuccino with soya milk, unfortunately they didn’t have any oat milk. It was weak and tasteless. We had 2 different home made tray bakes, they looked very appetising but unfortunately both were tasteless.

Me and my wife went there on Sunday the 15th of October with our 2 dog. lovely welcome from the staff .we decided to order food and that when it went down hill we order the steak pie and chips with veg it was absolutely disgusting we had to feed the food to the dogs when they weren’t looking i was a bit braver and eat a bit more than my wife . It is the 19th of October and I’ve had just got over the bad stomach , (I won’t be rude )I’ve not been work until today because I’ve been so ill and I recommend that no one should eat there and this place should be reported. And it was a walk in The google account was in my sons name !

I stayed in room 156 (Premier Plus) for one night and the first hour and a half was spent trying to get wifi to work. There isn't a phone in the room, so three trips to reception was needed to get information across and it isn't close by. The reception staff failed to give me my wifi code when I booked in. I was given a number to call on the second visit to sort out myself. I then (on the third occasion) told the staff that the company no longer provided technical support for Premier Inn! After then informing the staff of this they said there was nothing they could do. Amazing service (not so much). The room itself is quite nice and has the use of a coffee machine. Having stayed in basic rooms here this is a step up, however, this is what every room should be like to attract more custom. Overall I can see why Premier Inns are struggling. At dinner staff were getting people's orders wrong. This just needs an injection of cash and some effective customer service training.

This is the second time i had poor food from this cafe it seems to be hit and miss. My first experience a cold fish goujon sandwich, my second a jacket potato with 2 ounce of cheese the description was 3 cheeses. Very poor and at over £8 it felt like I'd been totally ripped off. I wint be eating here again

KFC Closed as had no Hot water So had to have a Burger King Worst Burger King Iv had in my life Ordered 3 kids meal no boxes and no toys Missed the following Loaded chips with bacon and cheese 9 Chicken Nuggets Given a small drink instead of a regular Given small chips instead of regular No sauce on the chicken burger just lettuce Give it a miss Would I eat there again NO Try avoid if you can

I drink Costa as it is my coffee of choice, and i tend to have at least one latte daily, usually two. Having been at this drive through on Friday 23rd April and today on the 27th April, the one thing I find incredibly irritating is the staff reluctance to use thermometers when steaming the milk, net effect on Friday was coffee that was the temperature of molten lava, it was undrinkable until my wife and I had covered 60 miles . . and i dread to think of the 3rd degree burns that would have happened if it was dropped. This morning I receive exactly the same, a skinny latte that instantly burns your lips and remained undrinkable until 30 minutes later. Please reiterate or provide training to staff, I don't buy a coffee because I want to have a drink in 30 minutes to an hour.
