A birthday treat tonight with my hubbies and daughter and flipping heck it was good food. The buns were beautiful and the burgers just delishous. Absolutely great value for money. The icecream was amazing. Tge staff just the best. No crumbs in this house. Thank you see you again very soon

We went here for a family meal and will definitely be returning. Beautiful old building, very friendly and helpful staff and the food was amazing. The only negative was that there was so much choice I really struggled to decide what to have 😀. Highly recommend. There is also a lovely outdoor area if the weather is nice.

What can I say, you ain't getting a better night out in the town of Dalton-in-furness than the golden ball. Huge selection of drinks, live bands, karaoke, pool table, darts. Staff are miles ahead of the other establishments around the small town. So don't hesitate. Just get there. No stars on food, they don't serve it. But they do have Pringles. Even bbq ones.

Lovely setting and very airy, comfortable seating and tables. The menu choice was varied but I felt a little over priced for what it was. Don’t get me wrong the quality of food and service was excellent. However, as a business traveller my clients stipulate a price cap on subsistence rates. I struggled to have a starter or dessert, main course and one drink within a fairly generous allowance. The food is great but this is not an ‘upmarket’ restaurant. Maybe need to review pricing against local area, venue and typical guests. But no complaints about quality of food, service or setting.

We went as a Birthday meal. The Main Courses were dreadful. We ordered the Chicken Dijon and Beef Lasagna. The chicken was chewy and the the sauce was completely bland. The chips and side vegetables were equally bland. As was the Lasagna. The worse meals we ever had and we returned them because they were so bad. The Village Inn was once a place of the highest standards and quality food. I regret that it no longer is. Very disappointing and truly sad to see.
