We were welcomed by a very cheerful team and seated in a warm, relaxed and clean room. Coffee is silky smooth and the breakfasts which I find are pretty standard was served up as a treat to the eye and food was a taste sensation. Highly recommended

Nothing other than fabulous from the food to the service provided. I have never had a bad meal here, everything is consistent and delicious.

I must say I was very disappointed after visiting this eatery..the prices were scandalous, not even any beans or tomatoes on the full breakfast.. also there was no signs that dogs could freely dine, my wife left there with bloodshot eyes an non stop scratching an sneezing all the way home..three longs hours off discomfort.. this experience cost me 40 pounds am then to add insult to injury the owner poured me a can of tango with a clear price of 75p on the can an charged me 3 pound.. daylight robbery’s putting it mildly.. don’t go

We and friends enjoyed fabulous cakes and coffee. The choice of yummy cakes was great. They do an afternoon tea which we’ll be going back for sometime in the future.

Lovely place and food good. Jane, our waitress was exceptional, very friendly and accomodating. Menu quite limited fpr a light lunch, this time, which was disappointing .

I absolutely love everything about the chocolate room. I treat myself every week to breakfast, but Friday I decided to come the pop up night. I'm telling you it didn't disappoint. The food was amazing!!

Well what can I say.... the moment we arrived we had the most warm welcome, and was just the start of a wonderful experience (Its a good job we booked as it was full and it was only 10.30am!!!). I ate the most amazing pancakes and will most definitely have them again. The smoothie, Milkshakes, eggs on toast and steak & eggs were just as well received. This may have been our first visit but it certainly won't be our last. I brought home a cherry bakewell tart which was the nicest one my husband had ever tasted.

Was visiting family in Askam and we walked to nearby Dalton to have brunch at The Chocolate Room. All that I'd heard about them was absolutely spot on. Wonderful brunch was freshly prepared, service was prompt and delightful and was just an overall wonderful experience. Wouldn't hesitate to go again. Note that if you have mobility issues, this might be difficult as there is limited seating on ground level and there is a narrow staircase to navigate.

Excellent service, choice was great and the food delicious. A very welcoming environment highly recommended to singles to cooperate and anyone else in between.

Love the eggs benedict with crispy bacon..... delicious. Coffees are really good too. Great service nothing is too much trouble

I've been meaning to do this for a while but when you have something as fantastic as this on your doorstep you forget. I vist The Chocolate Room regularly with friends, family and sometimes on my own. I have never once been disappointed. The quality of everything is excellent from breakfasts to lunches to the pop up evening menus. Food is always delicious and beautifully presented. There is consistency with the dishes (even when the owners aren't there) which is a big plus for me and why I keep returning. Take aways available, fabulous home made cakes and hand made chocolates. Everything is homemade I can highly recommend the brunches even the Quorn sausages are homemade. Great quality ingredients and the coffee is the best I've had. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Really reasonable prices will defiantly be back.

Staff were lovely, pleasant and welcoming. Cafe was busy but service was good and prompt. Still a fairly small menu but the variety caters for everyone. Nothing wrong with the food and it was good quality but the meal was not spectacular. I had eggs benedict but because the amount of hollandaise was small and the eggs overcooked so the yolks were not runny, the meal was dry. Bacon was nice, would prefer the streaky bacon to be crisper but that's my fault as I didn't ask for it. Other members of the party had sandwiches as were happy with their meals, their only comment being that the bread was cut very thick Cake, coffee and tea's were all good, expensive for the size of the portions but good. I would go back again.

Staff were really accommodating as parents couldn’t get upstairs. We ordered Mac and cheese it was gorgeous. Father ordered a club sandwich which was really good and an amazing portion.cakes were delicious , coffee was a bit strange as it was cloudy but it didn’t spoil our visit. Will certainly visit again.

8 of us (4 couples) booked to eat here, I must say I was a little bit sceptical before hand, but I shouldn’t have been as this was a superb dining experience. The cafe becomes a resturant upstairs of an evening, it’s not posh, but that’s the charm of the place. Whilst the drinks list is limited to a white, red & rose plus Corona & spirits, it was sufficient and the white on the evening we visited was a nice New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with the red a nice Rioja. The food is served by the owner, family & friends and it works, it is so friendly and hospitable.The main thing is the food & boy was this good, everything we had was excellent. I had Duck for starter, the Monkfish & Chicken for the main & Sticky Toffee pudding and they were as good as I’ve had anywhere.We had a great night for £360, that’s £45 each for great food and our drinks.It’s not posh, but is superb .... I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. We will be back.

I've not eaten in at this restaurant, only had takeaway. The sausage buns are absolutely gorgeous, homemade flat sausage in a soft fresh ciabatta. My bf gets the full breakfast bun with bacon, sausage, chorizo hash brown and a fried egg and he loves it. Everything is reasonably priced for the quality of the food. The peanut butter cookies are my favourite! I've also had the meat and potato pie on the Friday specials and I think it was honestly the nicest pie and mash I've ever had, true restaurant quality. This place is a real asset to Dalton and I'd be gutted if it ever closed!

This is the second time we've been to one of the pop up restaurants. The food really is second to none, service also great. Price more than reasonable for the quality of the food. Another excellent evening & we will definitely return.

It was a gift voucher that brought us to this hitherto unknown place in Harrow and what a pleasant surprise it was. An in usually friendly staff, choice of excellent sandwiches, warm scones ( clotted cream and jam) and absolutely delicious little cakes, 3 each! Good choice of teas and other drinks. We will be back.

Went at lunchtime. Quaint place where you can climb a winding staircase to arrive at upstairs restaurant. Small room downstairs. Coffee and hot xhocolate was excellent as was the cake menu. Very friendly welcome.

We booked as a group of 16 on Friday evening. Three courses and an amuse bouche (which in itself was starter size) for £25. The food was faultless, every course was delicious & the service was impeccable. Portions were generous.

Our friends organised a meal at the chocolate room. I always thought it was just a cafe however it becomes a pop up restaurant if there are enough people going, there were 16 in our group and I have to say it was one of the best meals I have ever had. Quality food, presented to the highest standard and at £25 for three courses it was a steal. Staff were brilliant. Basically you couldn't fault it and everyone of us there had the same view.

Had the full breakfast which was poached eggs with hollandaise sauce, bacon, home made square sausage, potato cake and toasted soda bread- a fantastic breakfast,my wife had french toast with bacon and bananas with a toffee sauce which worked brilliantly-all in all exceptional quality with great friendly service

We had a very nice lunch here on Saturday. I had the steak sandwich with onion marmalade and melted cheese, my partner had macaroni cheese with bacon and chorizo. Very good coffee as well. Will definitely return for breakfast and pop-up dinner.

The food here is great, I had the mac and cheese and my partner had avocado, poached egg and feta salad. The staff are friendly the decor is clean and modern. This is quite a new place and they are ticking all the boxes for me, good work guys. We will be back!

Only by coincidence did we turn up here. We were 3 mins too late for breakfast and turned away from another establishment. So we were looking for somewhere that serves breakfast and is on our way to Dalton Zoo in Cumbria.

We asked a friend about the chocolate room and what it was like. She said she wasn't very impressed when she went. We thought we would give it a go anyway. We arrived, walked in, sat down, waited, got up, asked for the menu, got told we take them on the way in! If this was the case why were we told to take one on the way in? Ordered the food which to be honest wasn't anything special. Had our drink, payed and left! I don't think we will be back. Never even got a hello from anyone of the staff when we arrived either but got a goodbye when we left. If you want to make it in Dalton, up your customer service. Enough said.

Delicious chocolate tortes - lovely thin crisp pastry, thin layer of caramel, smooth dark chocolate topping and a beautiful spoonful of vanilla cream. Decadent and perfect for a treat!

Again the pop up restaurant was superb.

We had a delicious Afternoon Tea at The Chocolate Room. Very tasty finger sandwiches, lovely sausage rolls, beautiful freshly made Scones and one of the nicest selection of bite-size cakes ever. Tiny Apple and Rhubarb Crumble Tarts - Macaroons - Raspberry and Cream shortcake - Toffee Apple Mousse Cake, Mini Banana Tea Loafs. Wow! Each one was a masterpiece. Lovely Pot of Tea AND great service. Will be back.

Nice pie/cake maker in centre of Dalton. Everything this home baked and freshly cooked. Pies are very tasty and so are the cakes. Deserves to do well.

What a lovely meal! From the canapes to the coffee, we couldn't fault a thing. We particularly enjoyed the Arancini with a beautiful mushroom sauce. The Surf and Turf main course was delicious with the slow cooked pork belly being the star of the show. My husband is the expert on Sticky Toffee Pudding and he reckoned this to be one of the best he has ever tasted, with a lively rich treacle toffe sauce. We finished with coffee, which was very good. A glass of wine is included in the price of £25 per head, you can then finish the bottle for a fiver, great value AND the wine was GOOD. Will definitely be booking again.

We have been going the Chocolate Room for a while now for snacks and delicious pies and pastries which are the best in the area by a country mile.

This was my first visit here and am very impressed. We received a warm welcome and decided to sit upstairs.

We found this cafe quite by chance while passing through. We spotted the outside and thought it looked really enticing, so we stopped. We both had very good tomato and basil soup, with really good bread, and shared a tasty sausage roll. We then shared a lovely fruit scone which was served with raspberry jam, yummy, and cream. I'm probably weird, but something I really liked too was that the jam and cream were served in individual dishes, not mass produced jars or packets.

After seeing lots of yummy pictures on Facebook i thought i would treat my Mum to an Afternoon Tea. We were seated nearly straight away and only waited a few moments for the delights to begin! Tea’s served with the cutest of milk bottles, Then out came the trio of sandwiches-Egg Mayo,Chicken & Mayo and Cheese with Home made Chutney-so tasty, Then voila the beautifully presented cakes & Scones were served, All so tasty and a lot of effort has gone into them! Would defo recommend it and will do it again :)

I had the eggs benedict which was amazing. The hot choc was also fabulous, tasted just like a dessert. My husband had the full roll, which included a very tasty spicy sausage, and the tastiest hash brown ever.

Called in for brunch today, it was very busy. Before we placed an order we were told the length of time we would have to wait for food, this wasn't a problem as the atmosphere was very warm and friendly. The food was well worth the wait as it was excellent. The staff were so friendly. We all had the brunch and then tea and cakes. I would highly recommend everyone to pay a visit.

This is a great little tea room/coffee shop. Food is prepared from scratch in the premises. The scones are beautiful, great pies and sausage rolls. Nice relaxed atmosphere. I do wish they would clear the weeds away from the shop front though-it's spoiling the look of the otherwise smart exterior.

I am totally in love with this place. The Chocolate Rooms has become my new local coffee shop to meet up with friends. I can't fault any of the food I have ever had there and would recommend the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. The staff are lovely and all the food is homemade. I would recommend this cafe to anyone visiting Dalton

Called in for lunch and only just got a table. - a good sign. We had a very nice meal, my eggs benedict being tasty and my wife's goat's cheese and vegetable salad got the thumbs up too. The hot chocolate wasn't, it was warm at best, but the coffee was fine. Next time we're going to try the scones as they looked good.
