Visit here every few weeks. Daughter loves the ones ice cream rolls. I love the coffee and great selection of cakes

I recently visited The Old Forge in Washington Village for lunch with my mam, and it was a lovely experience overall. The food was really good, the staff were friendly, and the cozy open fire added such a nice touch to the warm and inviting atmosphere. The only thing that let it down slightly was the disappointing cheesecake, but everything else was brilliant. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a great place to eat with a welcoming vibe!

The pasta dishes are really good.

I had a full English Breakfast here and it was fantastic, I've been full all day long. Lovely place and soo friendly. Left a £5 tip.

1 hour wait, but understandable on New Years Eve. Service in shop was very polite. Food was gorgeous. Highly recommend, I will definitely be a regular.

Family of 6 of us visited for brunch - myself and my husband with my grandparents, uncle and aunt. My Gran had booked a table ahead as she knew that this place gets busy (although it wasn't too bad at the time we arrived). Ordering food and drinks was easy enough and prices very reasonable. Good choice of food which was really tasty when it arrived. Very friendly staff.

Worst meal we ve had for years. 3 starters were ok, but all deep fried so hard to get wrong! The surf and turf steak was tough and the prawns over cooked. My friend had what should have been the creamy version of rigatoni carbonara but this had no cream and was very oily. My other friend had chicken with pancetta and this was swimming in oil! Needless to say we ate very little so were hungry and thought a desert would be a safe bet. It wasn’t! The mango cheesecake was in a large dish. The mango coulis was thick and hard and underneath this was cheese with a very hard biscuit base. Didn’t taste anything like a cheesecake I ve ever had before. The tiramisu was swimming in liquid (and this wasn’t alcohol). Inedible. When presented with the bill we asked for a discount but the waitress said she had already asked the boss and he had refused!

Took my elderly mother for her lunch. She has reduced mobility, but the lovely lady helped her into the restaurant. We both had seafood tortellini which was really tasty, with homemade Tiramasu to follow, which was delicious. The owner was so friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be back.

Requested no veg inChicken curry and came with onions in. Salt and chilli wings were bland and tasteless. Extremely disappointed after being told this is the best in washington.

We've just been served by Gayle and all I can say is they're amazing. They were happy, engaging and an all round lovely person. The coffee we were served was perfect and made in a prompt fashion. We'll definitely be back to this shop and would love to chat to Gayle again.

Love the brown toast for breakfast with a cuppa. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Had a really good Christmas lunch here, everything cooked perfectly and service was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
