Costa Coffee in Sunderland

I was served by Callum today, he is always so friendly and his Cappuccino was lovely. The cafe was busy as usual but the staff are always great. I have been coming here since it opened and really like it. Thanks

We've just been served by Gayle and all I can say is they're amazing. They were happy, engaging and an all round lovely person. The coffee we were served was perfect and made in a prompt fashion. We'll definitely be back to this shop and would love to chat to Gayle again.

Nice cozy place to sit and have a coffee & cake, prices however are expensive on most things! Staff are polite.

Went with my Daughter and S/I/L they had food all 3 of us had coffee, you choose from an electric menu and wait for it to be prepared, self collection from counter, quite busy manly under 30s

Cappuccino Luke warm and tables not cleared despite being empty. Yes it was busy but empty cups and plates on my table from previous customers and still there when I left 40 minutes later. Maybe understaffed and underpaid like many places these days!

Food is way overpriced for what it is. Always liked their coffee, better than their competitors.

Wasn't particularly busy, but the order was rushed, 2 ladies more engrossed in conversation with each other. Items missing from order (was a hot chocolate) A side order of a croissant asked for it to be warmed didn't happen. I will not be going back.

Good quality food and drinks. Very friendly and efficient staff. Just wished it was bigger as it gets very busy (sometimes even at off-peak times) and getting seated can be a problem. Nice and comfortable.

Very nice environment in which to enjoy an hour and a cup of coffee.

I go here to relax and chill out 2 or 3 times a week. I like to have some time out for myself after a busy morning shopping. Staff are lovely. You see a lot of people like me doing the same just taking time out of their busy lives for themselves. I would recommend it to everyone.

Well laid out and friendly staff but they should do more to enforce social distancing. The woman behind me in the queue was breathing down my neck and should have been warned

I'm sorry about this but this is the first Costa that I have gone to in the North East that has not come up to the excellent standard that I am used to. The two girls that were serving didn't seem to really know what they were doing the one that was taking the order did not allow the previous customer to me to finish telling her order then she did not offer to take the food to the customers table because this particular customer had ordered quite a lot of items. I felt very sorry for the customer and I was embarrassed for her two. The two staff that were on English was there second language. Now I know an employer has to be seen to be employing all races BUT this should not be at the customers demise. Employ people because they can do the job not because they have to employ a certain amount of other races

As all ways good coffee relaxing time was had by all!

Ive said this umpteen times about costas crockery, please change it to something like starbucks as tea in particular goes cold very quickly.

It was awful 😁, I don't know why I keep going. Drinking their cappuccino & eating that granola bar tut tut. I must have a word with myself.

What a lovely friendly lady who served me and my wife here. Very chatty and smiley. Makes a huge difference, we were served quickly and efficiently and she helped me use my loyalty card. We will come back again and probably have a potter around Next which is the usual drill.

Can't beat Costa for nice coffee and bacon nutty before 11.ooam.
