Food was amazing and portion size was massive

Stopped for drinks during a day out at the Beach. Only two Ales on tap, fizzy drinks, and a G&T. Reasonable prices and the place was clean.

Had a delicious Sunday lunch here today. Ordered a large but wasn't expecting it to be so large. The dog's got a treat for the next few days!! Lovely service. It's very dog friendly. Would definitely return and recommend.

We came here for food with work on Tuesday afternoon, it had a very pleasant atmosphere and the serves was very good. Our food came and it was lovely and HUGE, the burgers looked amazing. Id recommend this pub and hopefully we will be back.

After struggling to find somewhere for breakfast in the seaburn area without booking or waiting for an hour myself and my girlfriend tried the promenade and i was happy to find they did a breakfast menu and i wasnt disappointed. The very polite young lady serving made sure we got exactly what we wanted,a huge cup of tea arrived quickly followed by a brilliant breakfast for both of us cooked to perfection. I was very impressed with both the quality of the food and the service.we will definitely be coming back soon. Well done the promenade,the lovely staff and the chef.

Had a Sunday roast and the plate had quite a lot of water on it as the vegetables hadn’t been drained enough turning everything to mush.I told the member of staff who said she would let the chef know,there was no apology and she just emptied the food off the plate which should’ve been shown to the chef.Have ate here on many occasions and food has been ok. This has put me off returning.

Took the dog in for a swift pint, very nice dog friendly pub with a lovely atmosphere. Drinks were reasonably priced and they gave a small dog menu which is lovely and cheap.

Great place I can't thank you enough. We had Dad's wake on Wednesday afternoon at the Promenade . They cornered of part of the room to accommodate us. The owner organised the food for 20 people it was really good quality and very tasty. The Bar staff were fabulous Thank you everyone at the Promenade would definitely recommend this splendid venue.

Came in Easter Sunday the staff were absolutely brilliant.What a group of hard workers they were. They are credit to the owner Well done.

First visit in years. Nice little pub. Food was going down well but we didn't have time for any. Service was good and the staff friendly. Looking forward to next visit and possibly having some food.

Ok to drop in for one while out walking but very expensive drinks. No real atmosphere but then it was during a quiet weekday. I can imagine it gets busy at night especially over the weekend.

My favourite pub Sunday lunch is lush

Popped in here for some breakfast last Saturday, was very tasty, went for the fry up of course. Latte was good. Service was very prompt. Only thing I'd change is the oiliness of the hash browns but more so for the calories than the taste :O

Nice chatty staff. Tables need a good coat of varnish. Sharps beer again Inc Doombar (yucky). But overall a nice seaside, seafront pub which I can imagine gets very busy in high season. The barman assured us that the food was excellent and even recommended the beef sandwich for me and mussels for wifey. Unfortunately we were going home next day so couldn't revisit to review food.

Brilliant place for food and drinks! I go frequently with my vegan girlfriend and occasionally my mother with her dog and it's perfect with accommodating both. The staff are always talkative and helpful too. Couldn't recommend enough. We have also had meals other days from Sunday which have been amazing too.

My girlfriend called to book Sunday dinner 28-01-24 Was asked if we had a dog ..no We get there 10 minutes before table time as asked We got put in the dog bar surrounded by wet dogs 😡 Then to top it off one of the roast dinners was wrong (it was changed) Oh and our table must have been given to someone else as we was on was put on a table reserved for Janice🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️😡

Fabulous friendly public house, with lots of kind & friendly people who made a stranger feel very welcome especially as I was there on my own. Will definitely visit again.been today the service was second to none, staff always very friendly and the food excellent. Everyone is very nice and friendly, especially as I'm a stranger who lives over 100 miles away. It's so nice to be with lovely people, I will be back in 2 weeks.

Lovely dog friendly pub with the most amazing comfort food. Got the pie and chips, both homemade, and massive portion for only £10.50. The gravy boat could have fed a whole family's sunday lunch. Amazing value for money. Will be back

My first visit to Seaburn with 2 friends and so pleased we found The Promenade for lunch. Food was delicious and generous portions. Steak & Ale Pie was amazing! Very good value for money too. Lovely atmosphere with music and friendly efficient staff. We will definitely return. 👍

Been couple of times, good value for money

Today ive been met with the ignorance of people. Apparently after well over an hour and talking with a local , I was talking too loudly. NOW ,, 1st im scottish so maybe trying to talk and be understood by the locals was an issue, 2nd i was happily talking to a local with the cutest little pug dog who did not have an issue at all with my volume or what we were chatting about, and 3rd, today was the 1st day i had went outside without my hat since ive had breast cancer and had the confidence to walk about seaburn and visit the local place with feeling stared at or uncomfortable. But it took me to go into the promenade pub on the front of seaburn for the locals to make me feel unwelcome . Apparently i was talking to loud?? Although id been there for at least an hour or so, and if i was loud it was maybe because i was feeling so confident about my situation, but yet told by an older man i was too loud. Now if that was the case why was i not asked to leave by the staff ??, no it was because his wife had cancer. So sorry i was not aware that me talking about my situation was causing him concern. If he had made it known i would have talked about something else. I certainly was not being loud. So now i will never go in here again as the local people think its ok to make people feel uncomfortable. The staff are great its the locals who sit at the bar and make you feel like you should not be there.

Picked a bad day I'm sure, but waited almost an hour for the food to arrive and then, cooked well but basic ingredients ( all day breakfast) gets 3 stars for being very dog friendly.

Friendly staff and most important to us a dog friendly pub, I think it was unfortunate that we picked a day where they were extremely busy which meant it took a while for our food to come out, we finished our coffees approx 20 mins before our breakfast and bacon bap arrived, we did hear a member of staff offering free coffees to a couple of the tables near by so can only assume they'd been waiting much longer as we were not offered the kind gesture. The breakfast was of a good size and the bacon bap tasty enough.

Best Sunday dinner ever had. Great service and friendly staff. Highly recommended

This pub is great if you taking your dog to the beach to. You can have a drink and some delicious food and so can your dog. They have a menu for dog. It's such brilliant idea. Love it. The staff are lovely, helpful and friendly.

Went in for a drink when it wasn't packed to the doors and was a pleasure to sit in pleasant surroundings without toomuch noise. Will be back again next time I am in the area.

First visit to Seaburn and had lunch here. It was yummy

Staff could've been a bit better prepared, hadn't switched the menus to the Sunday ones, so we spent ages deciding what to have, then had to pick again when ordering. Also we had booked a table but when we arrived they hadn't written it down. Really nice Sunday lunch though, and the chips that came with the roast sandwich were amazing 👏

Dog friendly pub on the sea front at Seaburn, maybe to dog friendly too be honest. As long as the owners keep there dogs chilled all is good, but you do get the odd one that doesn't. Staff all great, great selection of drinks and from what I see the meals portions are huge. Not the cheapest place down the sea front but location means a premium on the pricing.

Visited for a drink and a meal with husband. Quite busy for a Thursday night. Service at bar was good did not have to wait long for meal. I got roast beef sandwich with chips and gravy lots of chips very filling and pleased with my meal. Husband ordered steak and ale pie chips and pies again plenty chips husband disappointed with steak and ale pie which looked more like a Pastie than a pie. Would still go back and perhaps try something different on menu

Great atmosphere, the dog loved it including the free biscuits - lucky pooch. The food was generous and tasty and the staff were really friendly. First time there and will definitely go back and directly opposite the beach so the dog can get a good walk.

I love this place and foods really nice, I was told by staff the bottom on right as you enter is place where dogs are allowed, so we went to top on left side under window as I'm badly allergic to dog hair, unfortunately as we ordered food a couple came with 2 dogs and sat next to us, another couple followed their dog not on a lead who wandered all round our feet, and then another couple came and sat their dog on the table next to us, which made the other dogs on floor start to jump on seats lick tables and glasses etc. This put my husband and myself off our food and drink. We left earlier than planned and looked at the dog friendly part where there was only one dog and lots of empty seats. If you are telling people it's dog friendly and only one side has dogs stick to this I will not be coming back and I won't recommend this place to anyone

Lovely food and lots of it. Friendly staff and dog friendly, the have doggy snacks in big jars (free) and even have free sausages for them. They don't mind if your dog sits on the seats as long as you have a blanket for them. Just across from beach too, what else could one require! Definitely recommend.

Nice piece for food and drink, they play the football there as well. They also sell dog dinners so it was nice to take the family and dogs out for a meal

Excellent food and friendly staff.

The Promenade as its name implies, overlooks the sea and has outdoor seating so that customers can enjoy the views. It is a very sports orientated pub and has no fewer than 7 screens. When we visited we had the choice of 2 football matches to watch. The pub itself is clean and well cared for, although the furnishings were a bit dated. There was a typical pub menu and reasonably priced but we waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive. The scampi and chips are definitely recommended, but the chicken salad wasn't so good. There was too much salad and the chicken was lukewarm and not very tasty. The pub was dog friendly so I would visit it again but it wouldn't be my first choice otherwise.

Really good 'home cooked' style food (proper chips!!!). Good selection of drinks. They show the footy and provide free hot snacks when a game is on. Staff are spot on. Lovely outdoor seating area to the front and back and the crowd that gets in are always friendly. Excellent pub.

It's got the feel of a cosy local pub, but isn't full of old fellas in cloth caps. There was a small outdoor space, and the staff seemed really good.

Beef and ale pie was not the best,over cooked pie crust plus cheap peas and one dollop of cheap mash no presentation just chucked on the plate

Had a great time at Promenade. The service was fantastic with very lively and happy staff. Great ambiance to make a lot of friends and to enjoy your drinks. Food too is tasty and overall feels good on your purse too. All the very best and will visit again for sure.

Loved the Yorkshire puddings and roasty's on the bar, nice touch!
