What a lovely nice friendly pub I was in one day when Lisa Graham was working what a very good barmaid always has a smile on her face even when under pressure Stonegate should be grateful that you got such a talented barmaid 10 out of 10 from me

Do not visit this place for food or coffee through the day time. Inexperienced and rude staff clearly out of their depth when the small pub is full. Empty plates scattered everywhere, sticky tables, cold coffee, long wait times for food. Nicer places in yarm to visit. You'll pay a bit more but will have a much better experience. Avoid.

Ordered a pizza through uber eats waited 2 hours did not arrive rang to see where it was to the phone being answered by a rude lad, he told me he had actually binned my food and tried to call me didn’t revive any sort of call then when I asked for a refund told me he’s going to decline it and put the phone down on me. disgrace

Such tasty food! Will 100% be back to try the bottomless curry on Wednesday/Sunday!!!

Went for a couple drinks. Ordered a sex on the beach made by Dan and they were fantastic. service from Kiera was also incredible. would definitely recommend

This place used to be great but I think it’s changed hands. No more iconic pie dinners. Food not great. Not bad but pretty tasteless. Came a long way for the Barnicles experience but left sad and disappointed.

Just been in and the service was terrible. I ordered a 12 inch meat feast and they gave me a 10inch garlic bread. Terrible service. Avoid at all at all costs

Gorgeous refurbishment, food was really tasty & staff all friendly and professional. Bonus points some areas of the pub are dog friendly!

I have to say, people are too quick to say bad things about all their experiences! Seriously people. I don't know if you are so piss poor that you can't afford to eat out? Or that you just love to complain? Read all of my other reviews and you will see I speak the truth!!! The beverages were chilled to perfection! If I were to score this experience it would most definitely be a 10/10! So people, don't be put off by negativity! Please try this place, its awesome! Food, fresh. Staff, attentive. Surroundings, warm and confortable, overall......absolutely taste sensational fantasticly delicious! Cant wait to return!

This Caffè Nero has gone way down in terms of welcoming and a clean place to have a coffee The tables always dirty but also in need of a re decoration and new tables and furniture Last time I was there I spotted fruit flies which is not good The step outside is a health hazard and why people still go here I just don’t know Close it down

Great pub. No mobiles allowed. Thank goodness. Nice to see Human beings having conversations like they used to do!! The only ones complaining about this are the ones who can’t even put down their Black Mirrors for a few minutes. Why come to a Social Environment when all you do is sit there staring down at your devices and looking / talking to NO ONE!! Stay Home.. Stare Down and go No where!! You will save money on your half a shandy!!!The rest of us will laugh and chat!! Thank you!!!

Took ages to get any service at all despite only a handful of customers. I specifically asked for no tomatoes due to an allergy and the salad came full of tomatoes. Food was OK. Other customers in their included an out of control dog which no one seemed bothered about

Took a friend her to celebrate a milestone birthday. I have no grumble with staff or the service, staff were all lovely and our server was very attentive and friendly. Personally, I think the hotel is looking a little tired so not as luxurious as I’d hoped and for £28 per person the afternoon tea was not that exciting. 5 fingers of different flavoured sandwiches, standard fillings and a selection of tiny cakes and savouries that didn’t blow me away. We had a lovely afternoon and were well looked after but I’ve had nicer afternoon teas for a fraction of the price in slightly less “premium” locations.
