The Ivy Tree in Stockton-on-Tees

First visit here and definitely won’t be the last! Service was great, food was fantastic!! The beer garden areas looks great too with outdoor TV’s, plenty of seating, heaters, etc

We have had breakfast here previously and it was good. Unfortunately we recently visited for Sunday Breakfast, there was only 2 other people in the room we were in, not sure about the other rooms, so it was not busy. The breakfast arrived within about 10 minutes of us arriving and would have been good except the bacon, black pudding and mushrooms were dried out as if they had been under a grill keeping warm for a long time. We were not in any great hurry and would have preferred the breakfast to be cooked fresh and not kept warm under some form of heated lamp - eggs and sausages were fine.

This newly refurbished and delightful pub/hotel turned to be an excellent choice as I was happily surprised to find roast lamb on the Sunday Lunch menu as many places don’t offer this meat as an option. A good choice accompanied by a superb selection of vegetables, delicious gravy and a crisp and tasty Yorkshire pudding. Without doubt this was one of the most enjoyable and tasty Sunday lunches I have been served.

I stayed here for work for 2 night , all staff really friendly. Young lad behind the bar think he was called finn was amazing and a credit to the team he really looked after us, good rooms, really clean spotless infact, had breakfast and wow very tasty thanks chef, Danni the girl who was working on the morning serving breakfast really did go above and beyond and nothing was too much trouble. I will definitely be staying here again when in the area.

We went for a big family get together and everything was perfect. We preordered our food due to size of the group and the chef made sure we all received our food at the same time. Fresh and hot food tasted amazing. Friendly staff and very helpful. Always accommodating.

Took my friend for a meal after having been a couple of times previously. Pretty disappointing on this occasion. Ordered a chicken burger and after a fair wait, was brought a cheeseburger. Had to wait about 20 minutes (while my friend ate on her own) for the right meal to be brought out which was pretty poor - thin, stringy, tasteless piece of chicken, no pickle and scattering of chips. Definitely not worth £16. Would have had a more enjoyable meal at a fast food restaurant. Advised the waitress who cleared the plates that it wasn’t up to the usual standard and she said she’d let the chef know. Bill came with with no further comment. We were given two small diet cokes while waiting for my correct order but this didn’t make up for the poor experience and food, unfortunately this has put me off returning.

Booked for my Birthday, didn't know it's was 2 for £20 but that worked well for the little ones, to be told no pizzas left. Shame, ordered but food was a long time waiting which we didnt mind albeit Wednesday evening. Upon leaving I complimented the chef as the food was nice but wow how ignorant and rude, ignored me twice which really did p@#s me off. If this is the staff your recruiting good look.

Had breakfast here today after having a fabulous Sunday lunch a few weeks ago. The breakfast did not disappoint either. Beautiful. Thanks to the chef x

My Wife & I visited the Ivy Tree on St Patrick's day this year, the Guinness was Superb and we both had a Sunday Lunch which was gorgeous, my Wife had Beef, I had Pork Loin with Black Pudding & we also shared a cauliflower cheese, Everything tasted delicious. A few points worth noting were that it is by no means the cheapest Sunday lunch you can purchase in the Stockton area & it could have been served slightly hotter but overall it was excellent.

What transformation. This pub has been totally renovated and we booked it for a family Sunday lunch. Delicious food served in lovely surroundings with a log fire.

Nice atmosphere,excellent refurbishment.ordered special,two gourmet burgers for £20.Best burger I have had in a pub,meaty and well seasoned.looking forward to coming back next week for the Xmas fayre.
