What a beautiful meal. Would definitely go back . Not the most inviting frontage but forget that and focus on the good. Succulent lamb . Chicken tandooried to sublime taste. Reasonably priced . Wow

Absolutely horrendous experience. The service was awful, and the food quality was beyond disappointing. My partner and I didn’t feel like cooking, so we decided to try a Chinese takeaway in South Shields for the first time. After checking reviews, this place seemed to have better ratings than the others, so we gave it a shot—what a mistake. I ordered beef fried rice, and the beef was absolutely disgusting. It was so tough and chewy that I had to keep chewing endlessly just to get through it. I can’t even imagine how long they must have kept it frozen for it to turn out like that. It was, without a doubt, one of the worst meals I have ever had. This experience was so bad that my partner and I still talk about how awful it was. We’ve had some bad dining experiences before, but this one was by far the worst. Honestly, after this, I don’t think I’ll be able to even consider trying another Chinese takeaway for a long time—that’s how much this place traumatized me. Never in my life tasted the worst food ever. The beef was low quality or may be badly cooked. My bf and I were sick after having that take out. Literally what happened to the food quality and taste to chinese takeaway now. The best chinese takeout I had is in Kenton. This is literally most disgusting and worst ever. I wouldn’t pay a penny for their service as well. On top of that, the lady who seemed to be the owner was incredibly rude and impatient. If a customer asks a question, isn’t it basic courtesy to respond politely instead of acting dismissive? The attitude was just as terrible as the food. Overall, this was the most disgusting and unpleasant experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Took my granddaughter tonight. Staff were fantastic including the new member. Food was amazing.Definitely be back. Lovely experience.

Takes a lifetime to deliver. 2 hrs ffs. Food is lovely but I’m not happy with delivery time at all. Specially as the shop is top of my street. Probably 3 minutes approximately 🤷‍♀️

Just been for afternoon tea for our Mother's day gift really enjoyed it staff were lovely also boxed up cakes we couldn't eat

I am tempted not to publish this because the meal was so good and the waiting staff so supportive. Real value for money. Great Food and a reasonable price. A great little treat and it supports the kids. What is not to love. A brilliant meal one of the best I have had with very attentive staff. Brilliant. Well done.

This was a very mixed experience. I absolutely loved the staff the bar staff were friendly chatty and knowledgeable. So very welcoming, helpful and attentive. I would say it's a very local pub and not a one for tourists unless you are an history fan in that case its amazing, it's so old, classic and a fascinating history with many local historical artifacts. If you are a gentleman or group of gentlemen you will love it and for the gentlemen guest and would five star recommend. Unfortunately some of the gentlemen visitors made me as a lady guest feel very uncomfortable and unwanted and unwilling to return. I ordered some real ale and heard one of the gentlemen customers say women should stick to Women's places and women's drinks. Then listen to a diatribe to his friends how women can't do Men's jobs, as we aren't as strong and good enough and we should know our place. Which made me feel uncomfortable. If you are a gentleman you will love it. Ladies I would stay away. It's sad because it's a fascinating place.

Came to the county today, staff were chatty and friendly, food was amazing and on time, staff came and checked to see if everything was alright which is very nice to see

Went for a Carers Association Xmas party. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pointing me in the right direction for the party. Nothing too much trouble and very kind. Food was excellent, loved the stone baked pizzas would highly recommend. Party was so much fun, DJ was a giggle and did requests. Definitely would recommend. The toilets were clean and well maintained. Would feel comfortable going in alone xo

Great pub friendly staff, sports on large TV's around the pub.

Just had beef and black pepper with gyozas and it was excellent, some good things new to the menu, highly recommended

4 of us went for Sunday Dinner which was very good. Everything was cooked well and the portions were good. Very good service.
