The best restaurants in Westoe South Tyneside North East

What a beautiful meal. Would definitely go back . Not the most inviting frontage but forget that and focus on the good. Succulent lamb . Chicken tandooried to sublime taste. Reasonably priced . Wow

I am tempted not to publish this because the meal was so good and the waiting staff so supportive. Real value for money. Great Food and a reasonable price. A great little treat and it supports the kids. What is not to love. A brilliant meal one of the best I have had with very attentive staff. Brilliant. Well done.

This is normally one of my favourite curry houses in South Shields but last night was such a disappointment. The curries ordered were nice however we waited over 50 minutes for our main courses. Nobody updated us till the last minute. One server was lovely and let us know just before it came out. We had barely sat down and they wanted our drinks order, and didn't give us long to look at the menus before they were asking for our order. Which was annoying since the food took so long. I had to ask for water twice before it came as well. The manager seemed very odd and was just standing around watching and staring. The staff were all congregated around the bar and they kept looking over at our table and talking which made us feel quite uncomfortable. The general atmosphere was very strange and there wasn't the usual buzz that there is in the other shields curry houses.

Lovely evening on a Friday, with live music, added a message saying we were celebrating an engagement and a birthday and the staff made sure to congratulate us and brought out complimentary cake

Took my granddaughter tonight. Staff were fantastic including the new member. Food was amazing.Definitely be back. Lovely experience.

Just been for afternoon tea for our Mother's day gift really enjoyed it staff were lovely also boxed up cakes we couldn't eat

First time, my wife had used this takeaway got a delivery, bang on time, the meal was first class, spare ribs chowmein,curry ,absolutely brilliant, that good 👍 got another takeaway, next night value for money, good service, driver cheerful, recommend this takeaway to anyone 👍

Takes a lifetime to deliver. 2 hrs ffs. Food is lovely but I’m not happy with delivery time at all. Specially as the shop is top of my street. Probably 3 minutes approximately 🤷‍♀️

Incorrect hours posted. Multiple families showed up same time as us to find it locked shut.

Highly recommend this place. Lovely meals and nothing was a problem for the staff today. Will definitely be back.

Good atmosphere and good service

I was really impressed with this hotel. I was here for a business dinner and all was really good. The room was very elegant, food delicious and service very good too. I was all round impressed and I look forward to dining here on another occasion.

Love this place. We were a group of about 25. Food was delicious, however they did struggle with such a large group with the food service. A couple of the group got their food when most of us were finished eating. But we understood and we still had a lovely time. Would like to give a shout out to Will behind the bar, so friendly and every time I went to the bar he acknowledged me straight away. Chatted while serving and went above and beyond. Also a shout out to Ruby who was also friendly and helpful, and made us feel so welcome. Will definitely be back.

My husband had fond memories of playing pinball in the old Cyprus back in the 80s so was interested in going into the new Cyprus for nostalgias sake. It has certainly changed. Bright lights, loud music, very full even on a Thursday night. Games of bingo and blind cards, full bar. Sometimes good memories should stay that way, it’s a different and popular pub now.
