Delhi 6 Lounge in South Tyneside

Incorrect hours posted. Multiple families showed up same time as us to find it locked shut.

We booked tables for 14 for a special family occasion. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. They allowed us to go in the afternoon and decorate where we were sitting. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were friendly and very attentive even though it was a busy night. Would highly recommend.

Curry didn’t have any flavour and chips were dry

The food ordered was very disappointing as it dint at all taste anywhere close to what it should be. Ordered Butter Chicken but dint find it good at all

Christmas time, what the main man done for those in need prompted me to try it out yesterday 15/3/25 Table of 4 downstairs right infront of the open fire for my partners 34th birthday. What can I say simply outstanding from start to finish everything was bursting with flavour We ordered 2 none menu items being chicken rogans 1 veg jalfrezi, mushroom pilau rice 1 veg pilau rice poppadoms pickel tray garlic coriander naan peshwari naan 2 servings of well done chips and an onion baji. There wasn't a single thing to complain about from service to the food. The facebook algorithm has worked in my favour for a change I've found a real northeast gem in delhi 6 lounge and I will certainly be back. I hope you and your team all the success in the future

Ordered takeaway today. The chips were like a potato cut into four and had no flavour. Would be better as a door wedge! Both dishes were absolutely awful. They lacked flavour and spice. This food can not be classed as Indian as it is the polar opposite and no where near the standard for Indian food. It is a disgrace to our Indian culture. Save yourself the disappointment and do not order from here!!!

One item (chicken chat) missing from order and chicken bhuna curry was very oily, so I was disappointed with my overall experience of this restaurant.

Atmosphere is lovely and very friendly.. I recommend booking as its very popular. There's a downstairs for drinks..snacks. upstairs to restaurant. Decor is inviting and warming.. music just right.. you are greeted immediately with a smile.. I love the friendliness of all staff. And they go that extra to make your time there special.. Food is served hot. And as a party, all guests served together. Which I love. Good size portions. Very tasty. If you like things spicy ask. If you like it mild same. I find they cater for your needs with everything. Children especially. They are patient and look after everyone.. this is my first choice in meals out..

Food quality was great. Very tasty - first time takeaway as usually sit in at Delhi 6. It was very busy with deliveries going out due to the weather creating a demand. The staff were doing their best and the manager kept us informed during the wait.

Well we started off brilliantly, wrong location! Haha Finally arrived and the place was buzzing with friends, families and couples. Easily sat down, and out came the popular poppadoms and pickle trays. Our mains arrived hot and with no problem. Will defo be back again and try other menu options.

Just ordered from deli 6 and very disappointed,we waited 2 hours for delivery only to even more disappointed in the meal,the curry was drowned in oil and the chips had to be from yesterday they were hard and inedible.the whole lot has gone in bin,gutted I've paid 26 pounds for absolute rubbish.

Masala Chips were just like boiled seasoned potatoes, Kurma Sauce had a slight kick to it, Onion Bhaji and Punjabi Samosa were inedible. Only saving grace was the lamb balti which was tasty and tender. in all disappointed and probably won't order again from here.

Chicken Tikka masala didn’t taste like its usual. quite bitter and can’t quite work out what was wrong with it but definitely wasn’t right!

Me and my wife went last night and were blown away by both the food and the service. The restaurant is lovely and has a very warm atmosphere. A lot of credit has to go to the serving staff who were very attentive and nice. Thank you Delhi 6!

Delicious food. Really hot on arrival

You won't be disappointed making this your choice for a fantastic curry we visited on a Saturday evening having booked a table for my birthday. Met at the door by friendly staff who showed us to our table after ordering a round of drinks which were reasonably priced. we ordered the poppadoms and chutneys while we browsed the menus. The dips were delicious and plenty of poppadoms to go round. We opted for onion bhaji starters, which were huge and if I'm honest too much before ordering a main meal. They were fantastic and full of flavour. For mains I opted for the railway station lamb which was beautiful and full of spice the lamb just dropped to bits we ordered sides of chips and pilau the only disappointment was the chips weren't your normal run of the mill chips your normally served but to be fair we hardly touched them because of the portion sizes. We were all completely stuffed afterwards, and couldn't face a dessert so opted for the bill which if you message the lounge on facebook will give you a 20% off code to use so it's a good saving. All in all with 2 rounds of drinks poppadoms starters and mains £30 a person was great value especially with the extra 20% off. A brilliant restaurant would highly recommend will definitely be back to try another fantastic dish from the menu cheers.

Last 2 takeaways have been shocking, food missing and cold gave them benefit of the doubt the first time but not the 3rd won't order from them again.

poppadoms did not get delivered with order, rang Delhi 6, they asked if I wanted them delivered or the money reinburst I said I wanted them delivered however they said it would take 45 minutes so I said OK just reinburse the money but still waiting for the money to be returned to my account. I understand they were very busy anditsonly £4 but itsthe principal

The food wasn’t like usual. The angry bird was very hot (not like usual) and the smoked aubergine wasn’t tasty. I’ve ordered at 20h10. Estimated delivery time was between 21h05 and 21h25. The delivery time was so late at 22h10. Some family members have already slept. Others ate another thing in between… Terrible experience this time.

food is fantastic just wish they would get more delivery drivers as have had to come and collect the last 3 or 4 times and on a Saturday night that's not a good thing love your food but quite often if I can't get it delivered I have to find somewhere that will deliver for me even when it's not as good as delhi 6 lounge westoe
