4 of us went for Sunday Dinner which was very good. Everything was cooked well and the portions were good. Very good service.

Having visited here many times we were so looking forward to nice food and a catch up with friends together. However, that wasn't to be. There was a singer performing and not only was she a poor singer but she was so loud, to the point of shouting. I have no issue with a singer in a restaurant but we couldn't hear each other speak which spoilt the whole purpose of visiting. We had the same main course each of seafood pasta but both woke up with an upset stomach today. Overall really disappointing 😞

First visit to this restaurant for me, there was a two course special with good choice and great value for money £18.95. We ordered from the main menu two of us chose prawn and lobster pasta, my other two friends had surf and turf risotto / chicken with haggis. Cocktails are on offer at £13 for two, i chose the Aperol which was lovely. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food, cocktails and dessert. Staff are extremely welcoming, friendly and attentive. First visit won’t be the last.

We went here tonight for my Fiancé's birthday today. Well all I can say is WOW! Lovely place, amazing food, lovely atmosphere and definately go back. I had Caprese salad to start followed by King prawn & lobster linguine pasta. Delicious. Fiancé had Trio of cheeses followed by main of Haggis and cheddar stuffed chicken. He said is was all delicious too. Look forward to next time when hopefully we can manage dessert as portion were very good. Only down side is the lack of alcohol free drinks. Only choice was Peroni zero and Heineken zero. Neither of which I drink so coke it was.

We chose to book Wyvestowes for a family meal after our quiet wedding ceremony. I can honestly say we had the loveliest day. From originally booking and speaking to George we knew we were in good hands. The staff, the food and the service were all amazing. Nothing is too much trouble for this lovely, happy friendly team who all created such a buzzing atmosphere. I think it says a lot about a restaurant when staff all seem to be very happy in their workplace. Such a lovely place to eat or just chill out with a drink on the terrace. 😊

Fine overpriced dining, had mixed cheese starter which was very small and consisted of three tiny pieces of mozarella, humus and chilli jam. The starter was lovely but tiny. Had the main which was salmon pasta which again was nice but not a great amount of salmon and lots of pasta which was slightly undercooked

An excellent Sunday roast preceded by delicious mussels as starter and followed by roly poly pudding. Outstanding value for money served with real care.

Great wee place and first pub I made my regular when first moved down from Leith some 11 years ago. Has real cosy feel to the place with great staff and has mix of local regulars and visitors. Next to ancient Parish church of St Nicholas which is worth a visit. Parking is not a problem providing there isn't a wedding or funeral next door to the pub. Fine for wheelchair users and help is at hand if needed. Often families go there for meals with very good chef and the days when good to be outside it has adequate space. There is often a fire outside to keep patrons warm if pub inside is busy. Definitely worth the visit.
