Lovely evening on a Friday, with live music, added a message saying we were celebrating an engagement and a birthday and the staff made sure to congratulate us and brought out complimentary cake

man who served us was so lovely , was on his own on floor as someone had rang in sick , food was amazing and all in all lovely experience!

early evening dinner so not a lot of atmosphere - 12 or so tables taken with all having burgers, pizzas etc. we had prawn cocktail made with tinned prawns and pate (as they had no mozarella for the caprese) then chicken kiev, garlic was not fresh, probably out of a jar, and chips being very large were well done on the outside and soft inside, perhaps they should have been "thrice fried" to achieve a better balance. Stone Bass was very nice and meaty but overpowered by an abundance of tomato sauce and spices that meant the Bass had to be eat first and separately to fully enjoy it. very good range of wine and beer listings that included several beers not usually seen in the UK such as Mythos. Service was O.K but seemed a little inexperienced, it might be that when more tables are taken later in the evening delays could occur, unless more staff were due in. In summary O.K will go back but will look more towards the burger, pizza, pasta offerings.

The staff were amazing and attentive , food was out of this world . We have been there multiple times now and every time we are blown away by the quality of the food and welcoming staff .

Great staff and beautiful food, well worth a visit

Food, service and atmosphere can’t be faulted at all. Visited here with friends on a busy Saturday evening and everything was 1st class. Such a shame I live in Kent and will have to wait a while to return.

Food fantastic - couldn’t fault it. Music a bit loud for my liking. Staff very attentive and friendly. Slight problem with the bill. Said we had a £10 voucher but it wasn’t taken off the bill so we had to ask again.

Called in to Wyvestows for an evening meal to celebrate our wedding anniversary, what a great choice this was after a friends recommendation. We did not book a table as it was early evening and we were shown straight to a good spot. I opted for the Stone bass and the Mrs chose a chicken burger. Neither of us were disappointed and both would recommend both dishes. Decent wine choice as well as great friendly staff. We will be back

Great food and service. Loved the scotch egg starter especially! Live singing on too that made it feel like a very premium meal out with the family, but the bill wasn't particularly premium!

I came here as a last minute option for food, I arrived at 20:50 and they managed to squeeze me in, staff were very friendly and polite. The food order was taken daily quickly and the food itself was very good. The chips were 👌🏻

We had our first Sunday lunch on 9th March. Absolutely delicious. Beef was fabulous, and the stuffing was lovely too. They made a fuss of it being my birthday too, and was given the best chocolate brownie I have ever had. Will definitely be back...my new favourite place.

Popped in for a quick drink with friends on a busy Saturday night. The place was heaving. Seems a nice enough place, but the bar staff could definitely be more welcoming. A smile goes a long way. We didn't eat, so we can't comment on the food.

amazing food but service let us down a bit, nothing wrong with the waiters they were all super lovely just super understaffed! we went on a friday night and a waiter didnt come over to our area for 20 odd minutes when we needed their attention :(

Great service from start to finish. Food amazing as always. One waiter could be a little more cheery apart from that all the staff are very polite and attentive.

I rarely write reviews but this is an exception. Came in for lunch on a Friday. Team were great as the food was out of this world. The Pan Fried Salmon was unreal!

The chips let our steak meal down they were to chunky and soggy. The cheesecake was not the best either

Booked a table for 8 o’clock, not one member of staff came to greet us so had to go looking for them, we were told to wait 5 mins, then another 5, we ended up waiting 30 mins and dont think they even had a table for us, wont be going back, went to Vespa italian instead and had a lovely meal there!! Ridiculous

Only let down was warm chips and a rather noisy group of people on the next table, made it hard to have a conversation. It was my Birthday treat from my friends and we didn't think you would be this busy early in January

First time here, group of 8 for Sunday lunch and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Food and staff were great.

The food was excellent atmosphere very good service for food good the drink service was a bit slow but to be fair it was very busy we will certainly go back

Went in yesterday with a party of 13 for a meal from the Christmas menu. The table wasn't sufficient to accommodate all of us, so after a bit confusion we got another table set up. The starter was tasty what there was of it, everyone agreed the portion was a bit sparse. Got the mains and same again it was cooked ok but not the size portions other guests dining there were getting from the normal menu. The sundries were slow to come out, we had to ask a few times for the veg to come so we could enjoy our food. The main gripe was one waiter in particular by the name of Pavel. He was extremely abrupt with members of our group. It is off-putting when you go out for a meal and are trying to enjoy yourself. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Pardon the pun.

Great night. Staff were all fantastic even with a very busy restaurant. Food was delicious, huge portions. Restaurant decor was beautiful.

Went tonight for my 60th birthday. Food was delicious, service was shocking. Very disappointing. Would have liked a dessert and more drinks but took way too long. Not even busy by this time. Not the same since Vane left.

Fabulous food,only down fall lamb was a bit chewy,but we got over that,the rest including dessert was fantastic,service very attentive and beautiful surroundings,will deffs be back to try the menu mid week.

Always love a trip to Wyvestows! Visit regularly for drinks but last night had a meal with friends and the staff are always very attentive, food is lovely and ambience and decor are perfect. Live music adding to the Friday night feels and always a lovely cocktail.

Very nice place with good food however £25 for a bottle of wine cannot be justified

We always chose to eat here when dining out food is always very good although this time the lamb wasn’t as nice but we still enjoyed our food desserts are always very nice service is very quick staff very friendly all in all a lovely place to eat

An amazing restaurant. First time eating as I’ve only ever been in for the delicious cocktails. The food was outstanding and the service was second to non. It was my husbands 40th and there was a big group of us and they were so attentive.

My wife and I visited for our wedding anniversary and the food was impeccable! Quick service, attentive staff, the entire restaurant was immaculate! The only downside is parking, it’s not the easiest place to park, and it isn’t clear whether you can park at the Westoe rugby club car park (you can).

Brilliant service, incredible food! Second time here and i want to keep going back to try more of a very well composed menu! I am not from the area but i wish i had a restaurant like this near where i lived. Looking forward to my next visit already!

I would definitely go again and also recommend to others. I didn’t give full stars for the atmosphere because there was live music - a good singer - but despite that it was so loud I noted everyone was raising their voices to chat. I was meeting friends I’d not seen for a while and it was very difficult to hear the conversation. Other than that, I was impressed with the layout and the food was divine.

The food was AMAZING. We left sooner than planned. We found the live music a bit much. Would have stayed for dessert had there been a quieter atmosphere.

10th wedding anniversary, amazing meal both starter and mains, service and atmosphere also great. Live singer on in background, finished with some lovely cocktails. Can’t believe we have not been here before will definitely be back. Fantastic service from very professional and polite young lady think her name was Darcie. We came to celebrate a 21st birthday, and have been left very upset and disappointed at the service today, after waiting over half hour for our table , we then wait over 45 minutes for our starter to arrive which for for some of the party was served cold. Main course again waited ages and the whole table was severed separately. Not a very good experience at all .

Visited Wyvestows for my 40th birthday tonight with my husband and had such a lovely experience! The young staff working the floor were super friendly and attentive, the food was absolutely 10/10, trust me - we had all 3 courses 🐷 such a gorgeous setting and atmosphere, looking around the room seeing how the staff interacted with other customers it was as if we were sat in a room of family and friends. Couldn't recommend more highly, special mention to George for making our experience even more special. Will 100% be returning 💜

Just been for a 40th birthday meal with my wife. Food was exceptional as was the customer service from every single member of staff. I've worked in retail for 10 years and now work in a different customer facing role and this type of customer service is the service to be proud of! A massive thank you to everyone tonight for an amazing meal and experience and to George, thank you, you should be very proud of the staff working tonight. Disappointing meal in lovely surroundings. Would not go back

Waited 20 minutes for staff to take our order, would have been longer if I didn't get up from our table and approached a member of staff. Once order was taken, my order was missing when the food arrived, so waited another 7 minutes. Not a great experience overall. Unsure what the problems were as noticed there were plenty of staff working!

Booked a table for 8.30 to have food with a friend and some nice cocktails, staff where great! We had a lovely booth and ordered cocktails which were great. Then ordered a pizza each both tasted amazing. Will be back again soon..

Food is ok and it’s a lovely restaurant, but the service lets it down, there was 6 of us and we waited ages for food and we only had one course, they could do with more experienced staff.

Service very poor. Food was tasteless some of our food didn’t arrive even though we pre ordered. Had to ask for cutlery won’t be going back

Read the reviews. Last night it took one hour for cold starters to come, twenty minutes for mains, 25 mins for coffee tea after coffee didn't come. Seriously food is the best but service is really bad.really bad. Restaurant owners invest loads in buildings, get the best chefs then blow it bay having young inexperienced floor staff. I'm all for young staff but they need training
