Enjoyable Sunday lunch although we would have preferred veg to be warmer

We always chose to eat here when dining out food is always very good although this time the lamb wasn’t as nice but we still enjoyed our food desserts are always very nice service is very quick staff very friendly all in all a lovely place to eat

An amazing restaurant. First time eating as I’ve only ever been in for the delicious cocktails. The food was outstanding and the service was second to non. It was my husbands 40th and there was a big group of us and they were so attentive.

My wife and I visited for our wedding anniversary and the food was impeccable! Quick service, attentive staff, the entire restaurant was immaculate! The only downside is parking, it’s not the easiest place to park, and it isn’t clear whether you can park at the Westoe rugby club car park (you can).

Second time I have been with my sons food is delicious

Brilliant service, incredible food! Second time here and i want to keep going back to try more of a very well composed menu! I am not from the area but i wish i had a restaurant like this near where i lived. Looking forward to my next visit already!

I would definitely go again and also recommend to others. I didn’t give full stars for the atmosphere because there was live music - a good singer - but despite that it was so loud I noted everyone was raising their voices to chat. I was meeting friends I’d not seen for a while and it was very difficult to hear the conversation. Other than that, I was impressed with the layout and the food was divine.

The food was AMAZING. We left sooner than planned. We found the live music a bit much. Would have stayed for dessert had there been a quieter atmosphere.

10th wedding anniversary, amazing meal both starter and mains, service and atmosphere also great. Live singer on in background, finished with some lovely cocktails. Can’t believe we have not been here before will definitely be back. Fantastic service from very professional and polite young lady think her name was Darcie. Fantastic service, polite and friendly, a credit to your establishment.

We came to celebrate a 21st birthday, and have been left very upset and disappointed at the service today, after waiting over half hour for our table , we then wait over 45 minutes for our starter to arrive which for for some of the party was served cold. Main course again waited ages and the whole table was severed separately. Not a very good experience at all .

Just been for a 40th birthday meal with my wife. Food was exceptional as was the customer service from every single member of staff. I've worked in retail for 10 years and now work in a different customer facing role and this type of customer service is the service to be proud of! A massive thank you to everyone tonight for an amazing meal and experience and to George, thank you, you should be very proud of the staff working tonight. Will 100% be recommending Wyvestoes and will 100% be back. Thank you

Visited Wyvestows for my 40th birthday tonight with my husband and had such a lovely experience! The young staff working the floor were super friendly and attentive, the food was absolutely 10/10, trust me - we had all 3 courses 🐷 such a gorgeous setting and atmosphere, looking around the room seeing how the staff interacted with other customers it was as if we were sat in a room of family and friends. Couldn't recommend more highly, special mention to George for making our experience even more special. Will 100% be returning 💜

Disappointing meal in lovely surroundings. Would not go back

Waited 20 minutes for staff to take our order, would have been longer if I didn't get up from our table and approached a member of staff. Once order was taken, my order was missing when the food arrived, so waited another 7 minutes. Not a great experience overall. Unsure what the problems were as noticed there were plenty of staff working!

Food is ok and it’s a lovely restaurant, but the service lets it down, there was 6 of us and we waited ages for food and we only had one course, they could do with more experienced staff.

Booked a table for 8.30 to have food with a friend and some nice cocktails, staff where great! We had a lovely booth and ordered cocktails which were great. Then ordered a pizza each both tasted amazing. Will be back again soon..

Service very poor. Food was tasteless some of our food didn’t arrive even though we pre ordered. Had to ask for cutlery won’t be going back

Read the reviews. Last night it took one hour for cold starters to come, twenty minutes for mains, 25 mins for coffee tea after coffee didn't come. Seriously food is the best but service is really bad.really bad. Restaurant owners invest loads in buildings, get the best chefs then blow it bay having young inexperienced floor staff. I'm all for young staff but they need training

Jay made the evening he was polite , and made you feel welcome don't let him go ,!!! Service very slow due to the chef leaving night before , hopefully replace chef

Food OK waited ages between drinks delivered and food order taken, 2 starters arrived waited for 3rd then a long wait for mains, thankfully our waiter Jay was a breath of fresh air super friendly and helpful we were offered free desserts & coffee because of issues,but after waiting for the bill had to go searching for it, Jay again sorted it out as we had a taxi waiting

Had a lovely Sunday roast there

Visited at lunchtime and very quiet. Food was absolutely delicious. Good range of beers.

As a big seafood lover, I had heard of the mussels starter, well that did not disappoint, probably the best muse broth I have had, so onto the main, Crap & Lobster risotto, well so,so disappointed, vastly over cooked, lobster very rubbery & risotto just a mush, first server asked and explained issues, took plates and left, when paying the bill, asked again, explained, next time you come mention it and you can have a free round of drinks, really, at £25 for a risotto, don’t think I’ll bother.

Small table stuck in the corner in packed dining room,even though we booked way in advance for girlfriends birthday. Strange menu,doesn't know whether it's Italian or Turkish or what.

Came here with my friends recently, i wanted to leave a review to say the service let this place down a bit! Took about an hour for our food to come which was literally 3 of the same salads and 2 of the same pastas. They did however offer a round of drinks on the house which was lovely. But we also never got asked for drinks for about 40 minutes at one point and struggled to get the waiters over as it was so busy. We had a different waiter every time - may be best to recommend certain tables to certain waiters? Food was lovely however barely any chicken in the chicken caeser salad :( As for drinks, quite steep to be charging £7.50 for a single gin and lemonade.. its shields not london!

A pleasant welcome and seated quickly. Starters ok but request for bread to mop up tasty juices slow. No spoons. Cutlery not changed between courses. Chicken ‘Kiev’ just a nicely cooked breast with with garlic butter poured over. Other chicken dishes the same with a different sauce poured over. Veg included frozen peas! Pudding a disappointing claggy cheesecake, poor quality ice cream and squirty cream. Young waiter very nice but unable to deal with queries over meal quality. All in all in all an underwhelming experience.

Saturday evening dinner was the BEST. Waitress service was great. Food (BBQ Steak Pizza) was the best i’ve tasted.

Went here on Sunday and can't fault it. Very accommodating for special dietary requirements. Food amazing, quick service and a relaxed atmosphere. Reasonably priced. Will certainly recommend.

Had a lovely lunch with family. Service was excellent and prompt. Food was good, but too much olive oil on pasta ,for my husband.

First time going here, id happily go back. Food was really nice, sometimes when you go places and see prices you don't get your "moneys worth" the portions here are big so if you normally get a side with your meals (like me and my partner do) maybe don't lol the atmosphere and design of the place is great. Will 100%be returning

Vane, George and all the staff I can not thank you all enough for making our mams send off as perfect as you made it. I have been devastated from her loss, and having everything as perfect as I could have it was so important to me, and our family. You all did just that, the room was decorated perfectly with mams photos and flowers displayed so lovely, the buffet was just beautiful the chefs did her proud, the food was perfect. I know how hard everyone worked and how friendly and respectful everyone was. Mam loved going every Sunday for lunch, so there was nothing more fitting than to have mams wake with you. There could not have been a better place to celebrate mams life, in a room filled with natural light, bright and colorful just like our mam. You did our mam proud, and I will never forget it. Love to you all Derek and family
