The best restaurants in Middlesbrough North East

Great for chatting and catching up with friends. The restaurant is quite bright with background music. There's a bar and lots of tables. The food was delicious, this was the best seabass I have ever eaten and cooked to perfection. Everyone said their food was absoloutely delicious. The staff were lovely and happy to give us a jug of iced, lemon water. A great evening, thank you. We will definitely go back.

only sent 1 pkt of crisps in the meal deals I ordered 2 cheese and onion sent 1 pkt ready salted if you didn't have the flavor any other would of done as it's better than not getting them at all

There was 15 of us went for my husband’s birthday 🎂 the meal was outstanding !everyone enjoyed the meals and the service was great from going in to leaving the staff couldn’t of been better.Good value and good food everything was perfect.We are booking again for our next family birthday and really looking forward.

Food was cold and portions were small with little filling in wrap. Delivery lad was polite.

Sticky tables and it was so loud. I am hard of hearing at my age and my husband was having to shout at me because of how many people were drunk. The meal was ok. Not very many chips we had to order more. Not what pubs used to be like, it's a shame

We meet here fairly regularly for tea and a catch up, perfect venue. The food is lovely, there’s plenty of it and all the staff are friendly and chatty.

Porthole Coffee Shop delivered a delightful experience with my first Pakistani breakfast, which was nothing short of perfect. The rich, authentic flavors and warm, inviting atmosphere made it a memorable place for me, worth revisiting again!

great little pub hidden little gem in a nice area! good parmos and good pints what more do you need from a pub in the boro! nothing!

Had occasion to eat here a few nights running as Mum was in hospital nearby. Staff are very friendly, helpful and professional The food was excellent and served quickly. Salad fresh, everything clean. Have been back since, despite not being local. Excellent.

GREASE NIGHT Sat 16th August - Right, where do I start? We've always loved this place (been here a few times) my lady booked us a table for the Grease themed night tonight and what can I say, this place never disappoints. We love this place because of a number of reasons, its never packed with people due to the sensible tables distances & size of the venue, the staff are always plentiful, attentive & friendly, prices aren't ridiculous, menus are great and the entertainments is always top notch! Tonight our server, Holli, was a total pleasure (we were on table 2 on the balcony) she was totally on the ball, we watched her keeping an eye on our table throughout the night & we were never without a drink, our food was served in good time, the food was lovely (thanks to the chefs) & when Holli was busy with other things the other waiters in the venue were quick to takeover to seamlessly provide great service. The 2 Emilies were lovely too, they were great in getting everyone in the venue to join in which enhanced the whole experience, they spread themselves around the whole audience & came to us twice and engaged in conversation which was lovely. Ben on the keyboard was great, full of enthusiasm and always a pleasure to watch, the rest of the band were great and the singer was great as usual. Special thanks to Holli & well done to the Blooms team & we'll be back again soon.

Been past this place for 30 years and never been in so decided to try it for a drink on a sunny afternoon. First impressions Seating outside not great and frontage needs a good sweep and lick of paint. It’s a great location so show it to all the potential passing trade. Flower it up. Advertised German food but not serving due to a pre booked walking party. Inside was confused. Bar had food snacks and stuff all over it. After four minutes after entering a man appeared and was quite sarcastic when my wife asked for tomato juice. Beer was tasty and good pint. Bar Rooms needs clear out and a defined purpose Another elderly couple arrived and left soon stating they had been given a menu then told no food. We will not visiting again due to the man, state of rooms and confused identity of place. Was it a coffee place. German food. Bar or bed and breakfast. A real shame as it has real potential but plug German food and beer but have it to serve but be welcoming to everyone and honest.
