5 stars across the board! Delicious food, best cof and chips I’ve had for years. Portion size is perfect also. Have been quite a few times and at different times of the day and the food remains consistently very good. Prices are very reasonable. Much cheaper than most. Lastly, the staff are friendly and welcoming, good conversation if it’s quiet and you’re waiting on something. I will definitely continue to use the shop and enjoy its food in the future. Being just under and hour’s drive from home, we have to pull in and eat in the car but it’s very much worth it.

A lovely evening with friends in the Bay Horse. Warm and cosy atmosphere, excellent service thanks to Traci who looked after us so well. We ordered a variety of small plates and flatbread. All was fresh, tasty and very reasonably priced given the large portions. Highlight was definitely the hot halloumi flatbread. Looking forward to our next visit.

Its cheap...I give you that. The place is very busy - staff seems all a bit overun with work...plates sometimes left on tables etc...we were seated quickly...all a bit rushed..no menus for a little bit..menus bit confusing..specials are burgers which is odd given its an Italian...don't have a burger..turns out they are not special and onion rings and fries were large in volume but tasteless...pasta was better (but even then is not special)..but portion sizes are too big..lots of tables taking home boxes .. need to focus on taste...

Somewhat upmatket wetherspoons in a rather spectacular building. Beer garden on the small car park. Free tap water. Good range of coffee and drinks. Gents lavatory needs to be seen. Suspect Ladies is the same. It's not in Newcastle it's in Whickham.

Called in for a drink, to be told our drinks would be served in takeaway cups. This wasn’t a problem for us, however, the tea was very weak ( my husband usually likes to let his tea brew in the teapot for several minutes) I understand electrical failures cannot be predicted, but in future it may be a good idea to leave the teabag in the cup to brew. The oat latte was fine.
