Really good and fast service and amazing tasting food well worth a try

4th time I've used these for a delivery and even rang to see how the food tasted. Will deffo be getting more from these guys.

First time ordering from here and the food was delicious. The service was excellent and delivery was reasonably quick for a Friday evening. Only one minor quibble, ordered 2 x keema naan and received 2 x plain, still delicious though 🤭 Would recommend and definitely order again. Thank you x

Just tried this takeaway for the first time yesterday.Warm welcome from new owners,lovely little waiting area.Food was delicious and well presented.We had the chicken tikka mossalla,chicken rogan josh and chicken madras along with rice's,nan breads and popadoms and chips.Everything was hot and perfect.Would highly recommend and will definitely be back soon. I ordered it for a certain time so I would be back in the house. Good job my appointment was earlier than it was supposed to be. so had I not been in at quarter to 7 I would have missed my order.Not happy at all .

terrible food,bhuna prawn on puri was cold,puri bread was like a frizbi,keema meat in naan bread tasted like paint,4 bits of lamb tikka was pathetic i have had bigger snots,and ceylon was just absolutely tasteless,only chilli,worst ive had in years

Ordered on the app, then got a phone call asking what I'd ordered?? I explained over the phone.. went to collect and the starters were missing, questioned this and was told it's not on the receipt? They then checked again and said oh yes it's really small writing (appearing to point blame at myself) it's their printer not mine! The food was simply 'ok' I won't be ordering again, I get that mistakes are made and accept that but the quality of the food is the reason I won't go back.

Food was very bland and garlic nann was tastless and had slimy sticky stuff on it. Fair to say I'm very disappointed as I used this a lot when the old owners had it. Won't be ordering from here again

We have had a few takeaways from here over the last couple of months and they have been consistently really nice. And extremely reasonably priced.

Wrong order of a curry so rang up and they said they would replace it. The man came back with our curry but took the chicken Tikka which had been opened and proceeded to empty into a fresh container on the porch floor. He proceeded to tell me he was going to deliver it to someone else. It made me seriously question their hygiene and if anyone was had allergies.

Excellent Food - Yes SHOHID is no longer with the business but the current owners have really tried on every occasion I have ordered and can't fault the food.. They know SHOHID Well and 100% better than the last owners who tried to make a go of the MOTIMAHAL.

Ordered through Just eat and food never arrived despite it being confirmed by the restaurant and later showing as on the way. Phoned up and initially they claimed they had no knowledge of the order. Later phone call they said it was on the way. Then again 3 hours after the initial phone call we phoned again to be told it had been delivered. Needless to say it had not. Waste of time.

Absolutely the worst Indian in 15 years! 15 minute delivery took 95 minutes, food clay cold and nuked in microwave dry as a stick. Will never use these bandits again

Moti Mahal Takeaway have done themselves proud.. SHOHID asked me to give them a try as the new owners know him very well and I am pleased to say I was not disappointed with my food.. These are not the owners that first took over the MOTI & Thank goodness these guys really do care about what they do. Starter Chicken Chat Excellent Portion and very tasty. Main Lamb & Chicken Naga.. Deliciously flavoured with plenty of spices and the meat, including the lamb was so tender.. I had to dish to portions as I got so much. Chicken Tikka Main off the Bone for the other half also deliciously cooked and Chicken Tikka really tender with plenty of onions and Peppers.. Couldn't fit the salad on the plate but managed on the second helping. Coconut Rice, fluffy soft and delicious. Sag Aloo - Really nice potatoes were spot on and good portions too. Siddique is the Chef here and I have to say it's one of the best meals I have had.. I was a regular when SHOHID was here for over 30 years and if these guys continue with this level of food I will go nowhere else.. A Massive Thumbs up to Siddique & Tareq the new owners. Also a big thank you to SHOHID as I would not known it was taken over in October if it weren't for him letting me know.

Just ordered for the first time since it opened In Oct 23 and the service diabolical, phoned for a delivery service, and repeated my order 3 times In fact I was even rang back. It came an hour earlier and the whole order was wrong even down to the garlic nan which ended up being a plain one ...WILL NEVER GO AGAI N and to say its the Moti Mahal is an insult to the original owners..!!!!!

Just had a chicken prawn madras nothing like a madras very mild and disappoint wont be ordering again

I got a Chicken Tikka wrap with madras sauce & it was bloody lovely

Received a flyer through the door yesterday and thought I would give the tandoori wings served with salad and sauce a try. They came without the said salad or sauce. The wings were more macerated than marinated and cooked in a tandoor. Prawn Karai sauce boasts a strong flavour of coriander...unfortunately the dish had no trace of coriander and the overcooked prawns were extremely chewy. Very disappointed. However, it arrived piping hot and early from a nice delivery driver.

One of the best takeaways I’ve ever had, only just got my order and had to review because I’m in love. The chicken tikka starter, chicken and prawn curry is unreal, amazing flavour and chips are lush. Definitely recommend!!!

Awful. Ordered chicken madras and plain pilau. The rice looked like it had been bought in a bag from Asda, poured it on plate and there was a puddle of water at bottom of tray. Chicken madras had zero taste or spice, chicken was soft as anything just over cooked rubbish. And to top it off the can of coke I ordered wasn’t even coke, it was a 25 pence snidey cola from lidls

This place has gone downhill. The paneer cheese was either not fresh or potentially not even paneer. The lamb in the shashlik was hard, chewy and swimming in a greasy sauce and padded out by onions. Very dissatisfied

This is the worst Indians since being took over. Meant to get chips with the burger didn’t get any asked for plain kebab wrap and they put peppers in. Not happy at all rang them and customer service is terrible they didn’t solve the problem they couldn’t even come out and deliver chips or another wrap or even ask if we wanted a refund of some money. Absolutely terrible.

Unfortunately Since Shohid's sold the Business in my opnion, the food has been poor. Tonight we ordered 31.12.2021 Can't even get the Starter's correct. We ordered Chicken Chatt and we got Chicken Shashlick.. Food overcooked with too much Garlic & Very oily. ,y curry was seperating on the plate. Really disappointed what a waste of food.....

Change of ownership has ruined the quality of the food. Now looking at the menus offering kebab and pizza from what was the best Indian takeaway in Area. Been using this takeaway for over 20 years. Without fault. Had a bad meal at beginning of year but just dismissed it. Another meal was awful this week and asked if they had changed owner. They said no just a name change! New owners unfortunately can’t match previous quality. Everything was poor. We will never use again.

Order at 6 45 meal arrived at 8 45 tikka masala had no taste just looked like tomato sauce onion bhaji was dry and hard the pokora was under cooked naan was burnt would never recommend this place

For some reason I have found it really hard to find a decent Indian takeaway /Restaurant in Dunston, they all seem to have gone downhill. Remembered about this takeaway and decided to give it a try. Wasn’t disappointed, had the £24 set meal and chose the lamb bhuna. It was all delicious, you could actually taste the lamb and it was soft not chewy. It was delivered well within the time given, was hot and well wrapped. Plenty left for next day Definitely be using this one from now on. 😁👍🏼

We have used this take away for 20+ years as a family and it's always been excellent for the taste , service , and cost. We have tried others but always go back .

First time at this take away and I was happy with what I got I was disappointed that my onion bhaji only came with lemon no salad or sauce and food could have done with being warmer to but over all it was nice
