The best restaurants in Middleton St George Darlington North East

2 main meals (massaman curry and crispy pork in tamarind sauce) starter (moo ping) and salt and pepper chips cost £42 and with all the previous reviews I was expecting something amazing but in honesty it really wasn't great. Massaman was lacking in taste, and the sauce was grainy. The pork was cooked very well but not crispy at all, and the chips weren't cooked. Overall, disappointing and the portion size for the cost was very small

I was sceptical as usual when trying anywhere new due to food intolerances. I was quickly reassured by the staff who were very knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. I had the best gluten/dairyfree sandwich ever. I will certainly back.

Great hotel. Staff are so friendly especially Julie who goes out of her way to make your stay special. Highly recommended.

Absolutely dreadful meal Went for a birthday meal with my family Basic menu, waited 45 minutes for our meal and only one girl on the bar and serving I ordered lasagne that was burnt and dried out and the pasta was like mashed potato, the garlic bread was also burnt and the salad was swimming in dressing My husband ordered steak pie that was full of salt and the vegetables were hard My son and daughter in law ordered the burger which was a cheap tasting burger with cheese and loads of garlic they ended up leaving it The food was served by an harassed kitchen staff and when we looked in the kitchen it looked unclean and chaotic

A family restaurant with delicious food - what more do you want. My cousin who regularly eats and has 'takeaways' took us on a Sunday night - FAB. Sadly we live in Kent - so too far to travel for a meal BUT we would recommend and certainly want to go again. Thank you xx

Ordered from here a few times but last nights was exceptional, ordered the deluxe munch box , king prawn balls with chips , char Sui chow mein , came with curry sauce , sweet and sour and sweet chilli and prawn crackers , all piping hot and plentiful , if you haven’t tried here please do , you’ll not be disappointed 👌

Worst food i have ever had! ordered beef rice Thai-style - it tasted like there was nothing but sugar in there - the beef was slimy and could not chew it - zero spice or hotness! dreadful!

Been twice since lockdown & both times my Big Mac and fries were stone cold and was bad all night!!!id stay well clear

Great food, we always look forward to having a pizza from here! Please bring back the big pots of garlic sauce!

Bad place missed 12 pieces in our variety bucket, we spend 18.99 for 6 pieces and 4 fries this is not on. Will not return to this one
