2 main meals (massaman curry and crispy pork in tamarind sauce) starter (moo ping) and salt and pepper chips cost £42 and with all the previous reviews I was expecting something amazing but in honesty it really wasn't great. Massaman was lacking in taste, and the sauce was grainy. The pork was cooked very well but not crispy at all, and the chips weren't cooked. Overall, disappointing and the portion size for the cost was very small

Nice location with spacious dining areas and friendly staff. The kids menu was value for money with homemade tomato soup, fresh artisan bread and butter. Home made fresh chicken gougons and delicious ice cream which tasted homemade. The Sunday lunches both lacked mash potato and the roasted potatoes tasted like frozen ready meals. Swede mash is not a substitute for mash. The large Yorkshire pudding tasted greasy, so I couldn't eat mine. The veg was ok. The gravy was nice but sparse. I asked for a gravy boat and it was a very small jug. The tiramisu was nice if bland and I couldn't taste any espresso or marsala wine in it, but a generous portion and the ice-cream on the side was very nice. The Mille feuille was ok. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Absolutely dreadful meal Went for a birthday meal with my family Basic menu, waited 45 minutes for our meal and only one girl on the bar and serving I ordered lasagne that was burnt and dried out and the pasta was like mashed potato, the garlic bread was also burnt and the salad was swimming in dressing My husband ordered steak pie that was full of salt and the vegetables were hard My son and daughter in law ordered the burger which was a cheap tasting burger with cheese and loads of garlic they ended up leaving it The food was served by an harassed kitchen staff and when we looked in the kitchen it looked unclean and chaotic

Ordered from here a few times but last nights was exceptional, ordered the deluxe munch box , king prawn balls with chips , char Sui chow mein , came with curry sauce , sweet and sour and sweet chilli and prawn crackers , all piping hot and plentiful , if you haven’t tried here please do , you’ll not be disappointed 👌

This was our first time at the Oak Tree and chose it because the menu looked different to anything else in the area. We went on New Years Eve and so pleased we did. 10/10 for the food & service. We had the mixed seafood platter & lamb yogurt kebab and it’s the tastiest food we have had out anywhere in a long time. Traditional turkish food very well done! Turkish bread & dips/olives were fab & the baklava was also really good. Full of pistachios & not too sweet. The service was excellent - really friendly and attentive and the chef & manager took time to chat to us before we left. We really wish this business lots of luck & hope it’s a real success. We definitely recommend & will be back.
