A family restaurant with delicious food - what more do you want. My cousin who regularly eats and has 'takeaways' took us on a Sunday night - FAB. Sadly we live in Kent - so too far to travel for a meal BUT we would recommend and certainly want to go again. Thank you xx

As vegans, it is hard to find a restaurant with great choice; however, Table Talk is superb. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly.

Me and my partner have eaten in table talk twice now and it is one of the best Indian meals I have had. The food is excellent (vegetable paratha and seek kebab and my girlfriend loved the chicken pakora) and the attention to service is second to none. I would definitely recommend, we have had takeaway aswell and as good as eating in. For such a small village and doing such a great job. Definitely will keep using.

Chicken Sri Lanka and chicken korma both excellent. Garlic rice and fresh hot chips and the best nan breads . Would recommend a visit.

Havnt been for a long time due to COVID but was pleased to see it hadn’t changed and is as good as it ever was. The staff are very helpful and the restaurant clean and tidy. And the food is excellent

We collected our Indian takeaway on a cold and frosty Sunday night. It was all ready to pick up when I arrived, no waiting. It brightened our evening and we were so pleased we had ordered enough for two nights. The lamb rogan josh was lovely and spicey and the korma creamy and full of chunky pieces of tender chicken breast. Roll on tomorrow night when we will have the leftovers!

Beautiful takeaway this evening, everything cooked to perfection. The lamb just melted in your mouth.Thankyou we will ba back.

Went here tonite for the first time and would defo be returning food was excellent service excellent and was allround impressed between us we had onion barjees chicken chat starters chicken balti and chefs special 1 totally enjoyed will defo return

Having a birthday in lockdown wasn't something I was looking forward to. I decided on an Indian takeaway treat and I've always enjoyed a sit in meal at Table Talk. All I can say is 'wow!'. Perfect in every way. So delicious and flavoursome. 10/10. Amazing meal. Thank you

Ordered a takeaway on bank holiday Monday. Food was great as always. Lovely place and Staff are friendly.

I have never been to this place but decided to go for a takeaway due to the good reports I have heard. Chicken Tikka Biryani- the blandest curry sause i have ever tasted, Chicken cooked nicely Veg. Curry, two massive boiled potatoes with some very bland curry sauce splashed over. Lamb Jalfrezi very hot sauce no onions or tomatoes lamb cooked nicely, quite boring. Chicken Korma, childs first experience at an Indian meal, she enjoyed it.

My wife and I visited here after reading all the reviews on trip advisor and we were not disappointed!The staff are great, very welcoming and attentive and the food is absolutely delicious, all fresh ingredients and very tasty. We had poppadums and pickles followed by 2 lamb bhuna's, it was great, we will certainly return!!

Visited tonight after a four year absence, we certainly won't wait another four years. The food and service were superb, my partners gluten allergy was really well understood and catered for. Looking forward to going back and enjoying the experience.

Spacious, clean restaurant with helpful staff and a very popular take away. Food was delicious with plenty of variety.

The food in this Indian is the best in the area, but you pay a fair sum for it. The staff are friendly and the place is clean but beware it can be cold in the winter months.

Went here on a Monday night, the place was empty other than us and a few take away orders but don’t let that I put you off, we love our Indian food and have visited many different restaurants and this is very good food with decent prices so if you are in the area and fancy a curry check them out nice and clean with excellent service well worth a visit.

We had a takeaway after moving into the village... it was tremendous. The curries were beautiful all different, the naan breads were soft but crunchy on the outside and the popadoms were lovely.. This is a true find

Visited with my mother and brother one cold winters night. Did not book and found the restaurant empty. Friendly welcome and enjoyed having the entire place to ourselves. Food we had was excellent. Lamb biryani, chicken tikka biryani and chicken tikka jalfrezi with naan breads. All excellent quality flavour and generous portions. Reasonably priced also. We will return.

As in title nice tasty food, nice restaurant, pleasant staff. Would suggest though that the restaurant could be warmer. Would definitely return but would wear a jumper.! Don't know why this restaurant is not busier.

Really nice food and friendly staff. The portion sizes are huge, if you aren't a big eater I would suggest two starters rather than a starter and a main.

Teníamos entrantes y platos principales y la entrega de la comida fue justo, ni demasiado rápido ni demasiado lento entre campos que nos hambrientos! El servicio era muy profesional y nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos. La calidad de la comida era fantástica, cada persona en nuestro grupo comentábamos lo bueno que era. Sin duda volveremos de nuevo. El último toque agradable fue que el hombre principal presentado uno de nuestro grupo con una botella de vino como regalo de cumpleaños.

Oooh what a fab place recently moved to the area had a takeaway a few weeks ago and was the best we have had so fresh and tasty decided to eat in and they were so welcoming food was delicious hot and served with a smile and pride in there business well done owners and staff such a fab little gem of a place and I can't recommend it enough will 100% be returning on many occasions too come cannot fault it at all beautiful

We booked this venue following good reviews from friends. Parking is difficult outside as it is right on a roundabout.We received a warm welcome, and provided menus. Drink order was taken in good time and followed. Then the food order was taken, they brouch out popadoms and sauces, and a short while after we had finished the food arrived and we ordered another round of drinks.We did notice that a large party arrived after we received our drinks and before we ordered the food, so thought we ought to get in quick.Whilst the food was nice, three of the dishes we had were pretty similar tasting, just one was a little spicier than the rest. The other was Chicken Tikka Masala.They checked everything was alright with the meal but that was the last anyone came to check on us. We eventually caught someone's eye to ask for a dessert menu (as we fancied ice cream) to be told they didn't do desserts anymore as they weren't popular. No mention of did we want coffee.Upon paying we were asked if everything had been alright, and we did inform them that the food was ok but the service wasn't very good. They did apologise and said it was that they were short staffed.

Wow as soon as we walked through the door we were made to feel welcome and relaxed. A guy called suraj was very helpful and soon had drinks and starters on our table. I have eaten in Indian restaurants all over the country and this is one of the best lamb madras curries I have eaten. Fantastic food reasonable prices. Can't wait to go back. This was our first time at this restaurant and it came highly recommended. Didn't disappoint. Food was fabulous and portion sizes very generous. We even had food left and brought it away with us. Upon leaving we were left waiting for our booked taxi when the owner came outside and very kindly offered to take us back to our hotel. Above & beyond excellent customer service in my opinion. Definitely will return when we are down this way again.

We live very close to this restaurant and have used it countless times over the years both as a restaurant and a take away.It is slightly more expensive than what you will find in Darlington but the food is consistently good.The let down is that it is not used by the locals as a restaurant, it may be busy on a Thursday when they have a cheap deal but for the rest of the week it is quiet which is a shame, so as you are generally the only diners in the restaurant the service is good.Middleton St George does not have many attractions and I hope this restaurant stays.

I have been using table talk for a few years. I am an afficienado of asian cuisine. The lamb sri lanka is amazing, simply the greatest lamb curry ever. Always great food and service lovely people

Always get great service and really nice food here. One of the best Indian restaurants in the area. Same quality whether dining in or take away.

A lucky stop off as we were super hungry and still had a bit to drive. We found the meat dishes were better than veggie, as good if not better than my local Indian. Really good curry. Decent potion sizes. Great service throughout. Everything is made fresh, one takeaway customer complained the naans weren't but if she'd bothered to sit in the restaurant she'd know. No takeaway naan doesn't go a little soggy in those bags.

Never has Uncle and his team let us down. The Jaipuri is a personal favourite - but I just ashore this place - great service, spot on food and a certain ambience.

Have had numerous dealings with this fantastic little restaurant, both eating in and taking away.Service is always brilliant as the staff are extremely friendly; despite how busy the restaurant is the wait staff always seem to have time to chat and ask how your day has been etc.We had a meal here a couple of nights before our wedding and as it was quiet we were having a general conversation with one waiter; he found our wedding was that weekend and he quickly bought us both a drink out of his own pocket. The little touches like that increase the goodwill no end!We've never had any complaints about the food, it's always been first class. What's more the takeaway doesn't differ at all from eating in, which is fantastic to see as some places we've been have lower quality or smaller portions for takeaways.Would 100% recommend to anyone.

Been twice in last month,on both occasions food delicious,good service ( maybe because it's never been busy) Saturday night and Friday night visits and only a handful in each time....why?It's friendly,clean,good choices of food and no complaints on each visit.I hope more use it, because it's worth it and if you are not busy as a restaurant Friday's and Saturdays there a problem looming.We will be back

first things first you cant fault the place its has beautiful food staff are great the only thing that lets it down is the price . its a very very very good Indian but maybe a tad to much. meal for 2 with starters drinks nans rice mains came to 60 pound

This is my closest Indian restaurant and we use it regularly for meals and take away. Food is excellent, service friendly, known the co-owner for years. It's sister restaurant in Darlington has the same menu also very good. Not the cheapest Indian you'll go to but you get what you pay for.

This little restaurant, just on the outskirts of Darlington is a gem! Run by Suraj and his staff, every visit is as special as the first. The menu choices are extensive with some unique tasty dishes. Very well priced. Good sized portions. Would recommend highly to anyone!

My daughter frequently goes here and has never been disappointed. We went with some friends and we all had the Thursday special. This was served promptly. And the food was excellent

A smart mid-sized restaurant in the centre of Middleton St George. The food is divine. Eat in or order to take away. Rather expensive.

Visited this restaurant as we live in a nearby village and just wanted an early tea. Quiet in the restaurant but it was early. Staff were nice and served us in a good timescale. Food was very nice and all of us enjoyed our food. Price wasn't bad- worked out about £20 a head.Nice enough for a village Indian restaurant but I would head into the Darlington Town Centre if I wanted a more upmarket night out.

Arrived here on a Saturday night, table for 4 was the quietest I've seen it. There were three tables including ourselves. There were no staff to be seen when we walked in, eventually seated it took them 10minutes to ask us if we wanted anything. They were talking around the bar area while we waited for drinks. Staff were rude, maybe just a bad day. Food arrived and tasted nothing like it had done in the past the korma was very thick and sweet. Nann breads were burnt even our 10year old didnt like the Korma which she loves. We asked if the place had changed hands the waiter said they have a new experienced chef. The only good thing were the drinks which took a long time to order. Very disappointed as this used to be our favourite place to eat.

Had a take away from here recently. Not entirely convinced the prawns in my biriyani were actually prawns or if they were that fake fish stuff. They certainly didn't taste of anything vaguely fish/prawn like.. Instead they were just oddly shapped, chewy lumps in the curry. To add to my dissatisfaction I was up half the night feeling very ill.. which I doubt is a coincidence. I want be going back there.

First time here and had been recommended by friends. Staff pleasant, service prompt and food very good. Lively atmosphere too which made the evening more enjoyable. Will try again before 5 starring!!

My friend booked the table here, was eager to go as I am regular at its sister branch cafe spice. The restaurant was beautiful and menu was similar to cafe spice. But the food and service was not to the level I am used to. But my friends really enjoyed. Would go back with them.

This place never disappoints the service and food is always top quality. The food and drink was lovely and great portions. The staff made us feel very welcome and made sure we were happy with everything. It's great to have such a brilliant restaurant in our village. Will be back again soon.

Went here when I finished work and wasn't a good experience we are regulars and has always been the best Indian by far. Now when we go In they are sat watching the tele and eventually got seated and said we want a few mins to look what drink we want. He was sat watching the tele and laughing 15 mins gone eventually comes back to take our drinks order. Then the food started to come it wasn't very nice both currys tastes the same and the passander had far to much peanut butter in didn't even ask if food was okay and dumped the food on the table won't be returning for a while hopefully will improve.

Table talk is a hidden gemWe have visited this restaurant in the past when the food was fantastic but on this occasion the food was even betterThe flavours of the food set out taste buds spinning and all four of us agreed that it was one of the better if not the best Indian meal we have ever purchased in the North of EnglandThe portion sizes were way above what one could reasonably expect, in fact we felt that there would have been enough food for the four of us if we had only ordered two portionHaving said that the presentation was very appealing and it is always nice to pick your way through good foodThe service was very personal and our waiter could not have been more accommodating to our needs and we will certainly visit again in the very near future

Why are the curries so sweet? All the curries taste the same and they are all far too sweet and too gloopy, not sure I've ever had a gloopy curry before table talk. There are much better curries to be had in Darlington at a much more reasonable price.

Love the food the staff and the atmosphere, it is a little more expensive than most Indian restaurants. The after dinner chocolates however are the best I have eaten anywhere for sure

We were staying at the davenport hotel a mile up the road so we stopped here for a curry on our second night. The curry was really tasty, we had the chicken korai. The staff were friendly & asked where we were from which was nice. A large bottle of cobra is £5 - quite expensive, don't even pay that in the centre of Manchester! Overall good experience and the toilets were nice & clean too, which is good to know.

This place never disappoints the service and food is always top quality. The number of people in the restaurant tonight said it all, very busy and the food and drink was lovely and great portions. Will be back again soon.

On arrival we were asked if we wanted a quiet table or one near the television, where we could watch a world cup match. The restaurant decor is very tasteful and it has been furnished and decorated to an extremely high standard. The waiters and staff were all very efficient and attentive and the menu has everything one could wish for in terms of indian cuisine. All the food was served piping hot, on warm plates and everything was cooked and presented to a high standard. This is by far the best indian restaurant in the Darlington area and has a 5 star food/hygiene rating from the local authority.

Visited this establishment for a takeaway on Tuesday, the chicken tikki masala was very thick and sweet didn't taste like the usual one that I highly recommend to all my friends. The waiter kept trying to advise that I tried something different, he wanted to order for me. The wait was not too long fairly quick. Enough time for the waiter to sell me a pint of lager which I did not want. I have had many chicken tikki masala from this place always really good. This poor masala has made me write this review, way to thick rich and sweet. Hopefully just a bad day at the office, or shall I say kitchen.

This is a very friendly and consistent place to eat I often get a take away from here as I live close by but have ate in as well and service is very good.

Had my nephews 16th birthday to celebrate so we decided to go and eat in this time. The service from Abid and the team was fantastic as per usual, the food quality and quantity was excellent. The poppadums and pickle to start with we're amazing and nice and hot. Definitely be back for another visit very soon.

One of the best Indian meals we have enjoyed in years. Crisp thin poppadum's with a selection of 4 pickles followed by piping hot starters. Wide selection of mains to choose from which were excellent with great nan breads. Very quiet early on a Monday evening but the staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. Thoroughly recommended for dining in. We'll try the take away next time.

From the first time I ever tried this place with friends who raved about it I was very impressed with this Indian restaurant. The staff are very friendly and the service is fantastic. The food is better than any I have ever tasted and the number of meals which are gluten free is a bonus. From Starters to mains the food is fabulous. Took the parents this evening who travelled from Scotland to joins us and they enjoyed every moment of it and are looking forward to the next visit so they can go again Nd sample another one of the amazing meals on offer. Had the family around for a meal and decided to get some food from our local Indian restaurant which was absolutely brilliant. The service was excellent with lots of free sides included which was a really nice touch. All of us said it was the best chicken tikka masala ever tasted so well done guys. Personally, I love Indian food! Table Talk is the best restaurant I know. I'll never get sick of it, there's some lovely food on the menu and for people who dislike curry, they do food such as steak, portions of chips etc. Excellent service and prices aren't too expensive.

We have been here a number of times and each time the food and service are excellent. it is advisable to book for Fridays and Saturdays. the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They take time to explain how the Curries are cooked and will offer an alternative if there is an ingredient you don't like. Food is freshly prepared, hot and plentiful. We always end up with a doggie bag to take home. Recommended if you like a good Indian curry in relaxed surroundings.

Found this lovely little restaurant through a search engine and glad I decided to go here. Pleasant atmosphere and fantastic food. I was there for the first time 2-3 weeks ago when down south on a business trip and am going back tonight, as I am back down south. Excellent traditionally cooked indian food, I just wish this restaurant was further north in Scotland!

First visit to Table talk and i will definitely be going back. Went with 4 others to celebrate a 60th birthday, and we had a fab time, the food was excellent with the starters the size of the main course. The main courses were so tasty, with it all piping hot, the meat was tender and the spices just as i like them. If you want Indian food then this is the place to go, but do expect the odd hot pepper or two. Good choice of drinks from the well stocked bar, i had taken a bottle just in case there was no licence, on leaving they even gave me another bottle to take home. The prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food and the service was excellent, very friendly, so good we left a 15 spot as a tip, reconfirming my theory, you get what you pay for.

3 takeaways £42, what a rip off, small portions, they were all sauce. i only live up the road and will never go back there again
