Goosepool House and Cafe in Darlington

About a year ago on a trip to Edinburgh we stopped in Masham North Yorkshire and had fish & chips at Harry's. 12 months later we returned and were not disappointed. Crisp batter and succulent fish with yummy chips. We had the Senior's Special and it was more than adequate for us. Well worth a visit whether you eat in or take away. Well done yet again..

A fantastic selection of real ales delivered right to your door. Kept the pub experience going throughout lockdown. The 5l mini casks of White Boar are superb!

Popped in on my way past for a chip Butty, I wish I had sat in the car outside and opened them as I would of taken them back for a refund. The worst chips I’ve ever had! I won’t be returning.

It’s always lovely food normally however this time iv been put off as found a big long black hair in my salt and pepper chicken dish so whoever was dealing with the food needs to start wearing a hair net and tie hair back it’s a shame

Just ok that’s about it Barely any filling Cakes are the bought in type that last forever in a plastic wrapper, taste like plastic.
